You made it look easy on your car. I thought at first I might need to replace my control module - ABS light was on - but scan showed C2116 ABS pump motor supply low voltage, and my mechanic found voltage fluctuating when he tapped on the motor so unsure which part was faulty, probably the pump motor. I ended up replacing the whole module/pump unit but I dodged (pun intended) an expensive bullet on that. There's a local salvage yard near me that has cheap prices on parts if you have the tools and ability to remove them from the car yourself. I got the complete unit for $65 Canadian but had to get the dealer to install due to programming and brake bleeding which was another $450 Canadian. But much better than having to replace new parts ... and I was told Mopar no longer can supply a new module for my car. I have a 2010 Dodge Caliber (97K kilometers) and the genius designer put the unit over against the passenger side fender by the firewall where it is impossible to get at the bolts if you want to remove just the module portion (designer must have gotten a good bonus for that) but it was easy to remove the whole unit.

Sometimes bleeding the module with a scan tool will fix it. Did you troubleshoot it properly before replacing?

I cleaned my battery terminals and made sure every connection was tight. I also checked the alternator it was charging 14+volts, I read in the owner's manual that if the charging drops below a certain voltage the abs esp bas traction control comes on. After everything was tightened I went to auto zone to use there ob2 scanner with abs to reset the code. So far after a week of driving no abs esp bas tc lights and as for good measure I drove to a gravel road to test abs and the abs worked.

I can confirm that it’s possible to program a replacement/used ABS module with a scan tool at home. I installed a used module in my 09 Routan from a same year junkyard Routan, and the part number was not an exact match. My Autel maxicheck pro scanner was able to call up the ABS module, and I verified the VIN in the module was from the donor van. After running through the ABS initialization sequence in the scanner, the dash lights stayed off and the ABS module VIN was the same as my van. I think “initialize” and “program” or “flash” all mean the same thing for the ABS module, and a good scanner can do it. Initialization takes about ten minutes with a short drive, lock to lock, a 90° turn, and cycling the key - you just follow the scan tool prompts.

Hey guy; Good vid! If you have time i have question. My 2005 Dod Grand Caravan has had ABS light on for a few years.
    Don't ask bout inspections:)))
I finally need to fix this. Cost of guessing mount up fffast.
I sent to Garage to scan looking for a direction as I had checked sensors and (rings), with no visible issues.
They said pump ABS would not power, no codes for sensors.
I removed battery and checked for power to plug on Module. 12 v and good ground to both heavy wired connectors. Top 2 positive, lower 2 ground
I did the ohm check on all sensors they checked ok. ALL power to plus side on connectors close to each sensor.
However i tried the connect sensor pins to meter and set to A/C spinning tire I get no current detected on any sensors.
You replaced the module side of the system.
What I did not check while I had module plug off was pin 7 left side (holding the plug as it fits) is supposed to be powered as well.
I guess i need to get up and close to wiring diagram.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Best; Tom

Have a question for you. I just had the ABS Module replaced in my 2009 Dodge Journey. The person who did it said they weren't able to initialize it, and I would probably have to take it to the dealer. I saw your video, as well as a couple of others, and I wondered if you might know if you have to take it to the dealer or use something like the Maxicheck Pro to do that, or are you able to drive it 100 miles or so, and it will "reprogram or relearn" by itself. I saw you mentioned the 100 miles in your video, so I thought I would see if it worked for you. I did replace it with a new Mopar ABS Module. Thanks so much!

What do you mean and what happened after the push etc?

Okay. For me I used the steering column fix with the T30 and pull and it fixed the "abs bas" combo.
Took about 5 minutes but you have to use a screwdriver style T30 to fit properly in the long hole.
Did you have spongy brakes or engine codes?
I suspect the stealership was guessing or where trying to gouge you. 🤔

It doesn't work anymore with the new modules. It only seemed to work with the 2018 and prior parts

The same lights just went on in my Dodge 2015 R/T Charger. I will confirm what Dodge says but does the ABS module need to be programmed or flashed (something like that)?

sorry my post is a while old and can’t remember the whole video, have you looked at wheel speed sensors, brake pads and tone rings to see if you have a genuine fault

Easier to just take the module off and send it to get rebuilt/repaired...no flash necessary
