@@1996rblue Well this can be caused by number of reasons. First I would check the nozzle if its clogged. If it isnt you can tke apart the extruder by removing those 2 screws at the fan. That way you can take a look inside the extruder itself. Maybe some plastic broke into it. Oh and while youre at it check if the motor works correctly. (I mean you said it makes strange noises). I had a similar printer like this back in the day. It had every kind of problem except this one... Edit: or maybe it is something as simple as not hot enough temperature idk
I still have the same printer... CTC i3 Pro B... I have other pinters too... but I still build stuff on this, quite regularly had it since 2017, still going strong... Recently upgraded the Marlin version to the latest, was v1.0.0, now Marlin-2.1.2.2... strange to see the masking tape under the glass, I usually stick it to the top of the glass for better bed adhesion... I agree, tighten the X axis belt, but "if it ain't broke"...
Ooooh! I know that feeling ^^ For me it was the same back when I started building my own one. Seeing something you assembled out of individual parts move so graciously around is magical!
It's made by CTC, it's their... Well it's not like CTC ever made a non garbage printer but this is one of the most cost reduced variety. Some came with a clone of Geeetech board, made wrongly, some later ones with an Anet board clone. The frame cuts are most reminiscent of Geeetech i3 Pro B, except made from plywood. Geeetech in turn took inspiration from that to make a plywood Geeetech i3 Pro W which is what I have, with mods. I feel like I should build a new frame for it though. The wiring is a bit of a fire hazard and the stock firmware has no working thermal protection.
@@1996rblue your printer looks a lot like the early models. Like 2016 most of us started with suchs basic models with just a glass plate and i3 clone etc. In my eyes nothing to offend you, but I knew how you feel and how you progress. I hope you have a great time with the printing hobby
@@maschinenorganismus This is an early model, it got dusty in my home for several years. I assume you are german because of your name? that x belt is looking a bit loose
thanks, I tightened the x-belt!
But my extruder doesn't work for some reason! I changed the filament, and since it doesn't work anymore
@@1996rblueWhat do you mean it doesent work? Im assuming its not extruding but still.
@@GamrokFeddy yes, it's not extruding
it makes a strange sound like it's stuck or something

@@GamrokFeddy I fixed it! The Nozzle was too close to the heating plate, that's why it couldn't extrude

nice printer! just goes to show that you don't need the latest and greatest technology to still create cool things :)

😮😮
Love it! Is it a custom build? Reminds me of old school printers
it's not a custom build, I believe it is a chinese brand some sort of
Geeetech pro i3 B?
Looks exceedingly similar to mine!!
some one pointed out that it looks similar to Geeetech, I believe my printer comes from China "CNC"
What year is it? This looks like something straight out of 2010.
Really reminds me of the good ol' days of reprap :)
i think it is, but I am not sure
❤❤❤
You might want to tighten your x belts. The printing quality will get much better if you do.
he might hahahaha😆
Nice printer👍🏿 What's your current config?
i have Heat Nozzle 200°C, Bed 60°C and
Print Speed: 150,
0.3mm Layer Height
I am using Ultimaker Cura (Slicing)
What board do you use on this printer?
by the looks of it, its probably running an arduino mega with a ramps board
I actually don't know 😂
@@trumpetsrlife9692 why that printer make sound like that 🤔
it's a big white board with 4 steppermotor modules it's hard to see because of all the wires
reupload from 2016? 😁
only valid with hair spray laced glas tile
What do you mean?
