I haven't heard you mention what you do with your car when you go there. Is there a pay parking lot by the port?
Yes; there are plenty of private parking areas with security and security cameras; cost is 250 pesos a night (around $4).

We park our car at a private parking lot with security near the port in Caticlan. 250 pesos ($4) a night.
