Always right on Ginno. I am one of those you mentioned that you have helped make the move. Here in Iloilo, loving it. Looking for a longer-term rental. But as you said so well I'm in no hurry Ginno. It's a strange and wonderful feeling to not be in a hurry. It's new for me😊 I'm a slacker and proud of it lol
So happy to hear that you are enjoying Iloilo my friend. Nothing wrong with being a slacker in retirement. 😃 That is the beauty of retirement; you can live however you want to live your life. Take care my friend.
I gotta have my tools in a big toolbox and a nice big workshop. LOL! I like to work on things coz that relaxes me. I do enjoy the beach and fishing but the workshop is a great release for me. I like to cook our foods myself - Going out is fine w/ me sometimes. But I rather not deal w/ people in public. I see many are hard up on things and that really bothers me much. Retire and do the things you like doing -is all. Enjoy and God bless -
@@rabidfarmer9765 That is the beauty of retirement my brother; you have the freedom to do whatever you want. You no longer have to listen to anyone or be around people that you don’t like. You just do you. You make the rules in your retirement.
Statement at 6 minutes … “Retirement for me is doing what I want to do, not what I have to do” … That was a deep, simple & refreshing statement … If a picture paints a thousand words, then words paint a thousand pictures … Your channel is informative & entertaining … Growing up in the 90s I remember watching the purple dinosaur kids show called Barney. He had a phrase, “Sharing is caring”. … TH-cam is a passtime to do just that
It’s all about food to eat, healthy and roof over your head. No need to accumulate material things. Enjoy life to the fullest. I could hear “TAHO” in the background. White Beach Boracay, what hotel did you stay…?. .
Good call on your channel creation. One of the hardest part about retirement is occupying 8 hiurs a day / 5 days a week. Work is work. Most people associate "work" with money. We should not work for money! Retirement "work" should revolve around self satisfaction and improving ways of life!
Good stuff Ginno. I wish more people knew that no matter who you are or what you do, you are no more or no less in the eyes of God Almighty. Everyone is of value. So thanks for sharing! BTW, grab me a Tao!! I can hear the Tao peddler in the background lol!! God Bless and Aim High! Rick
Profound thoughts, Gino...I soooo agree with your sentiments... Life is short, and near the end I'm sure you're not going to think "I wish I'd bought more..." Your opinions and perspectives are important for everyone... I only wish I had this wisdom earlier, but hey, it's a journey for us all... If you don't experience the highs and lows in life, you can't appreciate the present IMO... Reference ego, yep yep yep...I was a Sergeant Major and helped 1000s of others... If I could go back I'm sure I'd approach it all differently for sure... But... The journey has allowed me to be where I am now, so perhaps it's a necessary path? In any case... Just enjoy the moments... Yah Bless... 🙏🙏🙏 👍😎👍
Thank you my friend. The highs and lows of my life shaped me on who I am today. I do think it was a necessary path. It makes me appreciate everything in my life now. Take care my friend. Stay blessed.
Gino, I really like your channel. I am interested in your town, but I think I really watch for you and your kind family. Such kind people, and Dazel's laugh too. I am curious about your daughter, is she adopted, anyway, sort of personal so you don't have to answer, but such a nice family. 😊
Good morning my Brother Ginno, Great to see you out enjoying your morning walk in paradise. Wounderful video and information. God Bless You and Dazle and Leana and your Family Too. You guys' videos are inspiring. Keep it up. BTW, I am a retired AF and was stationed in Kadena multiple times. The beach reminds me of Okinawa. Take care
Good Friday morning to you Gino. 🤙 Reuben here (San Diego). Enjoyed your outtakes as they relate to your retirement since departing from the U.S. and arriving to the Philippines and how your personal day to day life values have evolved. Very interesting to listen to. Looking forward to when I begin my settlement there which I hope very soon and the interesting transitional evolution that i definitely know will happen…to me that is🤗😅🤙
Thank you my friend. Let us know if you want to meetup. If you have the time. It will likely rain during your visit; but there will also be plenty of sunshine. Common to be sunny all day and then a huge downpour in the late afternoon. Take care my friend.
No worries at all, yeah it suppose to be like that, returned last night from Honduras for a month and a half, life is what you make of it, still have your monthly budget of $1000 a month on my mind😅
I'm sure you had an amazing time in Honduras my friend. We continue to live well on our monthly $1,000 budget. I'll do another budget videos; it's been since last September when I did our budget video. Take care my friend.
I really like my job and I thought it was fun and interesting. The thing is none of my coworkers like working or being at work. One day I got a letter from the company I retired from and informed me I could get I little over $8,500 a month retirement benefits and social security a month for the rest of my life. I was like really and told my boss, I quit right now and send me my last check. Life to short to work or be around negative people. Living the dream in San Diego county California
