    That looks way more effective on getting inside that my “walk forward and eat punches until I’m in the pocket.”

      Also Tyson switched southpaw during the hook Fraser came out of his head movement dip and did it in orthodox

      Good to hear bro! However you can perform this move in either stance so I don’t necessarily agree you need to switch stances unless there are other factors you’re considering

    When you throw the leaping left hook are you shuffling your feet - or bringing the back foot to the front foot? Btw, I wish I knew you existed when I was living in NY.

    • @trueflowboxing2770
      @trueflowboxing2770  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the comment/ question brother 🙏. To answer your question…You do not need to shuffle your feet as that would put you in southpaw position which means you basically would need to do everything in the opposite direction. Simply shifting the weight to your lead leg(regardless of orthodox or southpaw stance) as it loads the power and gives you the momentum and stability to perform the movement! Hope this answers your question! 🥊

    i fear a spearing jab to stop me in mid air, what's your experience with this leaping hook coach? Did you feel being stopped in some way when throwing this punch? That's why i prefer marvin haglers leaping gazelle jab because i can make sure I make contact first with his head in case he jabs me in midair.

    • @trueflowboxing2770
      @trueflowboxing2770  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment! While their many variations to this punch you also have to factor in your fight style. Personally the way I've done it fits my fighting style and I've done it enough times to successfully land it without rarely being countered while doing so(usually hiding it within movement and/or feints) . But honestly it's not really the jab you should fear but the cross being that in most cases you'll be fighting an orthodox fighter and the movement puts you more at risk for a right cross then a jab. Either way you decide to try it though it should be done with movement or some form of set up to avoid being caught by the counter as you described. Hope this helps!

    I thought a punch has way less power if your back foot isn't planted.

    • @trueflowboxing2770
      @trueflowboxing2770  ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally that is true. However you aren’t using the back leg to perform this particular punch. You’re using your lead leg as a load and bungee 👍

      Appreciate the comment! Yep NY! Well a lot of gyms are closed down now so wouldn't want to recommend one of those that are but it mostly depends on what you are looking for. It would probably help to mention that I'm a boxing coach hence the video lol. I currently have a private studio in Manhattan and will be moving to a bigger location by next month. If you're interested let me know and I'll send you the details.

    how to get away with without getting counterd by cross

    • @gokamekeck4999
      @gokamekeck4999 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the punch itself is so risky that you cant defend yourself that well against counters while doing it. It's about the setup of the punch, dont let your opponent know whats coming or overwhelm him once he is tired.
      You might be able set the punch up by simply slipping a jab and using that position to load your punch and then going for it, as an example. Gotta get creative there I guess
