@krollpeter I'm only familiar with ELO's more popular tunes so I don't really know the band. But I do know that musician leaders like Jeff Lynne will ALWAYS get the greatest musicians they can surround themselves with for live performances.. its not surprising how great they sound.

I think Jeff Lynne is such a consummate musician that being in any official "Hall of Fame" would be a bit like getting a British knighthood, i.e., a total joke. The fact that after almost 40 years, he and ELO can still fill a music venue is what counts. The late, great John Lennon politely returned his OBE to the Palace. Shame "Sir Paul" and all the other rockers didn't do the same (especially when you consider some of the OBE company they keep, i.e. Jimmy Savile, Rolf Harris) Rant over. xx

This song has always stood out to me, way before the newish Guardians of the Galaxy movies made this song popular, but there's one specific aspect of this specific live performance that always brings a tear of awe to my eyes. The Cellos. You need a very good set of Headphones with vast Sound-Staging to eloquently hear the masterful melodic flow. It's such a beautiful sound.
