I work in a store that sells games, this would definitely sell! Customers are always looking for games that are easy enough for the kiddos, but not boring or too easy for the adults. They also want small, portable games that aren’t too expensive, and Chaos Cat certainly fits both of those criteria.
This is quite a fun evolution of the regular memory game, and the cat theme is a definitive plus :D I'd totally get this for myself! We have a habit of playing Yahtzee and Uno with family at holidays and other gettogethers, this'd be another game that's easy to jump into, and hard to stop playing. The art is so inviting and playful too.
I love that you use your videos to hold yourself to projects you might not actually commit to otherwise! So inspiring! Also I gotta know where to get that sticker printer!?!
If you search up “thermal printer”, or “pocket thermal printer”, there’s all kinds out there! And typically every thermal printer doubles as a sticker. I have the canon ivy which is a thermal printer that prints color photos & can be used as a sticker if you want it to
This seems like such a fun game! The library I work at hosts family game nights once a month, and I think this would be a very popular addition to the lineup.
I really want to get into tabletop games and have that as a regular friend activity. But I only have a couple of friends left who still live in the same city as me. And all of them don't like overly complicated games with lengthy rules. So this could actually become our first proper "just sit down and play" game. It looks fun and adorable. Make it happen, Peej!
this looks fun!! me and my brothers always make up new card games or mix board games together to make a new game, to try and mix things up a bit when we hang out. working out the issues in a game and refining it is just a fun experience, sometimes more fun that actually playing the game! i look forward to seeing this when it's finished(:
I love this game idea! the whole time when listening to your description of the game I was thinking of how this would be such a good game for my brother, who loves family games, but has downs syndrome and struggles with many of them because of how many rules and often how much math you have to do in them, but a short term memory strategy game like this, with all the instructions written on the cards, would be perfect for him. and near the end of the video when you showed you and sophie playing with your friend henry i teared up a little bit, because you were thinking the same things as me while making it. it would be awesome if you were able to produce even a limited run of this game, even if i might not have a chance to get it since im not a super active fan and will likely miss the announcement haha.
this was such a fun video! the concept and game design was absolutely 11/10, like you truly exceeded your goal of reinventing the standard memory-pair game, and the cat theme in every card was so fun! and the 'cat chaos' card for reshuffling the board was such a cool idea 🤌 and loved seeing the brainstorming and thought process behind this!! big kudos 👏👏
this is incredible! i wish i could buy this. honestly buying a stickers sheet with the cards and cardboard pieces and assembling it myself sounds even more fun than buying a pre-made game. a bit of crafting in my board game.
pj we need it IMMEDIATELY!!! this is so cool and interesting! i'm usually the person that groans when someone pulls out a table top card game because they're usually SO complicated and have a million rules i don't remember, but this is the perfect blend of strategy and a concept everyone will be comfortable with. you're a genius!
I really want to play this game now! Memory with a twist is such a good idea. I haven't really played memory games since I was a kid, because they weren't appealing enough to me in their simplicity, but this has just the right amount of charm and silliness that I would absolutely love to try out!
i gotta steal this one week project set-up! i have a big idea for a board game marketed toward artists and those in art-related fields but haven't found a place to start yet. always an inspiration, peej :)
I want to play this game! Memory was one of my favorite games growing up, my grandma and I would play with a deck of cards. I love how your game builds on this and it's so cute!
PJ - I love absolutely every single thing about this video. Love love love the idea, so cool to make a board game, the illustrations are so fun, cat theme! and the Stardew Valley sounds! Also - Sticker Printer!! The whole video is great!
Are you kiddingggg, this game would blow up! The art is great, it's easy to understand, it's something you know sprinkled with extra fun, it's portable, you can play more than two people, I would buy it in a heartbeat!!
about the mayo; our cats are obsessed with anything and everything containing vegetable oil. we only ever have vegan mayo at home (which they also really want) but i can imagine the classic recipe with egg and oil being irresistible!
Our family play a lot of tabletop games and I would absolutely back this on KS. You could make a first player marker in Fujis likeness for backers prepared to go that extra cat mile ❤
the catnip card really really reminds me of the card " grand finale " in slay the spire, where you deal 50dmg if you have no cards in yoru draw pile (which never ever happens). appealing in concept but useless irl
I love board games and honestly so amazed you made a game! I'm more of a player and not a game-maker so it's always fascinating when people CREATE games! And I can't wait to see the what name you choose for it in the end!
loved this and would def play it! i made a pikmin boardgame in 8th grade and it was really fun to figure out how to turn videogame into tabletop game. but i really should re-visit that idea with your tips and now that i have a fully developed (almost) adult brain!
I feel like that catnip card, the one that gives 15 points to someone with out treats cards, should be one of the bonus cards for if you want to play with more people than pairs of treats if possible. Like we have a family of 5 but most games are marketed to people with a family of 4.
ive been absolutely loving the videos, pj. it’s so great to see you do such fun, creative projects and document it in a way that is informative and entertaining. keep up the great work!!! ❤
Id love this as a card game in video game form. It’d be easier to sell, in my opinion, and more accessible to people. I’d love playing with online friends and think it’s a great game already. But yeah sign me up for a physical box as well lol.
I've been getting into a bunch of tabletop games recently (at the early age of 28) and would honestly love this! So if it's ever available to buy, someone let me know!
What a wonderful video! I would definitely play Chaos Cat. I lead a youth group and we always start out with little games and I think this one would be an absolute hit!
i would lovelovelove to buy a cat themed memory game !!! the process was so enjoyable and invigorating to see and honestly, watching this has sort of inspired me to start my own project that ive been somewhat procrastinating for a while :D
I hardly ever leave comments on TH-cam videos but I have to tell you that I would buy this game in a heartbeat!! I really hope you decide to refine & sell it!!
Big Potato Games partnership potential? You have a few friends who have worked with them, maybe you could do a big run of the game. It seems like a really fun game + a lot of people have expressed interest in playing it! Could even be a deck of cards
i am a board game newbie so this seems like the perfect game to start broadening my horizons! taking a game i am very familiar with and adding elements sounds like a recipe for success! i want to play it!! bonus points for excellent art ❤
I work in a store that sells games, this would definitely sell! Customers are always looking for games that are easy enough for the kiddos, but not boring or too easy for the adults. They also want small, portable games that aren’t too expensive, and Chaos Cat certainly fits both of those criteria.
Not gonna lie, I would buy this game in a heartbeat. I love the art work and it seems like such a fun game to play with your friends!
Same! It's a fun addition to the base of the normal memo game. I'd LOVE to have this.
10/10 would buy, I hope they do release it ❤ it looks so fun!
It’s kinda like that mini game in Mario bros on the Wii where you have to memorize the cards then climb around try to get the power ups
I think making this a kickstarter would be really cool. I'm super invested in the journey of this game and i hope we get more updates.
“2024, the year of the sticker” Sophie has big plans for this year
Big Potato Games, where you at? I'd buy this immediately.
Actual gold - if it's feasible and you're enjoying it, do a large print run! It seems like a lot of people would buy this, myself included! 😮
2:18 candy corn
This is quite a fun evolution of the regular memory game, and the cat theme is a definitive plus :D I'd totally get this for myself!
We have a habit of playing Yahtzee and Uno with family at holidays and other gettogethers, this'd be another game that's easy to jump into, and hard to stop playing. The art is so inviting and playful too.
this is so cool! after a small physical run you could sell a digital, printable version for people who werent able to get it before!
I did a boardgame jam once, we made boardgames in 1 weekend. My group actually made a pretty fun game, and the experience was the best.
I have the canon ivy which is a thermal printer that prints color photos & can be used as a sticker if you want it to
The brand is Phomemo and the model is the Mini Printer M02.
I love this but the pyramid being from top to bottom on importance kind of defeats the pyramid structure 😂
hahaha i couldnt stop looking at it weird
I was thinking the same thing the entire time 😅
I thought so too, but then I thought "What's the point of this project?" and it made sense 😊
He made a whole new board game in a week but you just have to write something negative and completely unnecessary. Just why? 😅
This seems like such a fun game! The library I work at hosts family game nights once a month, and I think this would be a very popular addition to the lineup.

I love this! I would buy it instantly. I really love your creativity and ideas, its endlessly inspiring
absolutely loved everything from the idea to the final product!
This game seems SO cool! Fuji approved too?? I’m in.
this looks fun!! me and my brothers always make up new card games or mix board games together to make a new game, to try and mix things up a bit when we hang out. working out the issues in a game and refining it is just a fun experience, sometimes more fun that actually playing the game! i look forward to seeing this when it's finished(:

You are literally the coolest! making a board game has been at the back of my mind for so long and I'll take this as a sign for me to go for it
pj we need it IMMEDIATELY!!! this is so cool and interesting! i'm usually the person that groans when someone pulls out a table top card game because they're usually SO complicated and have a million rules i don't remember, but this is the perfect blend of strategy and a concept everyone will be comfortable with. you're a genius!
Love the Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs reference! (Intentional or non-intentional)
i would 100% buy and back this! absolutely love this concept, seems so fun and accessible which i ADORE
as a board game aficionado myself, this seems like a ton of fun and i'll definitely be looking forward to that print run!
I would absolutely love to play it! Seems like an amazing little party game. I really really hope you make more than 100 copies of it. :D
15:09 the cat theme came out PURR-FECTLY you might say 😸
the artwork is so cute! i loved the game, and it’s so impressive that you made it in a week
I really want to play this game now! Memory with a twist is such a good idea. I haven't really played memory games since I was a kid, because they weren't appealing enough to me in their simplicity, but this has just the right amount of charm and silliness that I would absolutely love to try out!

"MEOW!" PJ, bowling us over with your creativity again. I think you are gonna have to print more than 100 copies.
Very cool Game PJ.
I just ordered myself one of those Sticker Printers!
It is going to making organizing my planned Tabletop Game a lot easier.
0:32 he did the finger point ☝️
PJ - I love absolutely every single thing about this video. Love love love the idea, so cool to make a board game, the illustrations are so fun, cat theme! and the Stardew Valley sounds! Also - Sticker Printer!! The whole video is great!
loved seeing the process of how this all came together!! i especially adore the card designs
When is the kickstarter for Chaos Cat going up? I'm ready to support such a quirky little game
This game looks super amazing already! Keep it up!
A laser pointer specialty card would be very fitting
Would play Chaos Cat in a heartbeat! Can already predict the tension in the family on Christmas arguing over who Meowed last
what a fun little game!! i hope you end up releasing it peej! you could also make it into a printable too?
i want to play this so bad! i really loved the way you showed the process behind making it
candy corn of game design
Are you kiddingggg, this game would blow up! The art is great, it's easy to understand, it's something you know sprinkled with extra fun, it's portable, you can play more than two people, I would buy it in a heartbeat!!
about the mayo; our cats are obsessed with anything and everything containing vegetable oil. we only ever have vegan mayo at home (which they also really want) but i can imagine the classic recipe with egg and oil being irresistible!
It almost reminds me of exploding kittens, but a bit more cutesy and casual
Peej every single time I watch your videos I feel more creative and comforted, so thank you!
Our family play a lot of tabletop games and I would absolutely back this on KS. You could make a first player marker in Fujis likeness for backers prepared to go that extra cat mile ❤
I would 100% buy this game. This looks like so much fun!
I love the game, love Sophie’s sweater while you are trying the game for the first time and I love all the cats!
heck yeah! coming from stream!
the catnip card really really reminds me of the card " grand finale " in slay the spire, where you deal 50dmg if you have no cards in yoru draw pile (which never ever happens). appealing in concept but useless irl

I would genuinely play this board game with family and friends! it's such a cool concept and amazed at your ability to create a masterpiece in a week!
Please make more than 100 prints! I really want to buy this game!
such a good idea, building on a classic that people already know the basics of!
the second you said "memory but the cards DO things" i was sold. this would fill the void in me.
I love board games and honestly so amazed you made a game! I'm more of a player and not a game-maker so it's always fascinating when people CREATE games! And I can't wait to see the what name you choose for it in the end!
kickstarter stat! This looks so fun and simple enough for head empty eggs like me
I would legit have a game party around this if it came out- please release!! 😍
loved this and would def play it! i made a pikmin boardgame in 8th grade and it was really fun to figure out how to turn videogame into tabletop game. but i really should re-visit that idea with your tips and now that i have a fully developed (almost) adult brain!
the speed up of Sophie petting fuji is one of the best things I've seem recently
i can confirm that my cat goes crazy for mayo so it's reasonable to assume most cats do
I feel like that catnip card, the one that gives 15 points to someone with out treats cards, should be one of the bonus cards for if you want to play with more people than pairs of treats if possible. Like we have a family of 5 but most games are marketed to people with a family of 4.
ive been absolutely loving the videos, pj. it’s so great to see you do such fun, creative projects and document it in a way that is informative and entertaining. keep up the great work!!! ❤

This is so awesome! I would absolutely play this. Love the idea of a memory game with a bit of added strategy.
i love your creativity so much 😭

Accessibility a success, I normally don’t like to play new board games cause my brain gets all muddled but I want to play this it seems easy and fun!
I've been getting into a bunch of tabletop games recently (at the early age of 28) and would honestly love this! So if it's ever available to buy, someone let me know!
So cool to see the development process!

Big Potato Games partnership potential? You have a few friends who have worked with them, maybe you could do a big run of the game. It seems like a really fun game + a lot of people have expressed interest in playing it! Could even be a deck of cards

I love the game idea and art, will buy it if you release it!
Okay I was playing Stardew while watching this and I swear you use the same sound effects?! Have I made this up?! 13:49 and 14:08 in particular
