Do a search on fuse taps. Pins poking through 12v car wiring will make an iffy connection at best and a car fire at worst. Also, if you have a crash, you would hope the airbags would do their job to protect you. Now, string up some dashcam cables in front of them and see how well they deploy.

Question on the red wire connecting, you use a just some pin needle and inject into the positive wire (so it touches the wire copper inside the insulation) to get the signal, then connect the outside with the red wire, then tape them all? What if I just peel away the insulation of that positive wire (for probably 1/8 inches) and connect and tape it? The problem is it's not easy to peel that skinny wire...
Hi, try checking where the wire going from the backing light bulb check if it is in the center its the positive if in the side of the bulb its the negative.

You can check the quarter inch input to your dashcam check if its just a loose connection. Else, you can input new rear camera if you have one. Usually a good rear camera will always pop on screen.
Red wire is for the rear camera signal input to the dashcam board which is connected to the rear backing light (trigger during reverse gear)if you watch the whole vidz you will understand better.
Hello Lim, got a black and red wire with the rear cam. Red connected to positive and black connected to negative (not ground), screen of rear camera flickers and image comes flipped horizontal.can you please assist
@@palaakaran yes that is correct the black is your negative line, in my case my circuit diagram doesnt have black wire depends on your cofiguration, in that case just connect from your rear light reverse lamp negative line. For flip video display in my configuration, i was able to flip adjust the setting from the dashcam if you have no option, you can manually flip the rear camera and glue the brackets on it. Flickers screen, check iether your node line juntion or try 60 or 50hz display, if not you may refer it to the product maker.
I'm confused already because in some other videos the red wire will be attached to the positive line of the rear backing light sayo negative. Ano ba talaga?

Naginstall ako kanina inabot ako isang oras mahigit, wala sa manual kung pano install rear camera kaya natagalan ako. Ang malupit walang butas yung city para sa screw kaya ending sa plate ko idinikit hahaha. Paano kaya yung mga walang butas, idikit n lang ng epoxy???

I wouldn't bother. Just solder the wires and then use a heat shrink material to envelop and seal the join.

Camera is installed in exactly the same way, but the rear view shows with flickering. Is it a voltage issue?

As advised, it is safe to disconnect the battery supply. But in my case, deritso ko pong ininstall.
