Learned so much in this one video... Installation weather stripping removal and replacement. I have window coming into my Mazda CX-5 and people hear it when I use Bluetooth.
Let me ask you a question…. The blue light blinks in unison with a red dot on the display screen.Both blinking in unison……is that normal?Other dash cams I’ve had ……lights were steady.Any advice?
You skipped over the dual camera setting. I am using the camera on my airplane for external mount camera and I am trying to figure out if I can disable the main front camera.

I figured out how to playback but it says one file is locked and I can't seem to unlock it. Does it need to be deleted in my computer and not in camera? Thanks again and cheers from Canada North
I would say if you’ve already tried to do a format through the camera and it’s still having the issue, then what I would do next is go ahead and format it on your PC. Be sure to format it as FAT32, then try again. Hopefully this will work. Stay safe and sound 👍🏽✌🏽
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do you format the SD card? Nowhere in the instructions does it explain how to do it(unless I overlooked it). Thanks
No dumb questions here and you probably did perhaps overlook it. It’s in the menu section under settings. If you go towards the bottom, it’ll say format, SD card. Also, if you watch my video, I do mention it when I go over the menus. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and stay safe.👍🏽✌🏽
Thanks for the video. I bought this model as well. Quick question? For some reason when I turn my car off the camera still keeps recording and doesn't shut off. Is there a setting Im forgetting to use or change.
Thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply. What might be the issue is you might have to set screen saver to off as well as auto power to off you will find those in the menu option. If you get confused you can watch my video again under menu options. The only other thing I can think of is perhaps depending on what vehicle and how your power source works at your cigarette lighter which is where the camera is plugged into I’m assuming your vehicle might still supply 12 V to that cigarette lighter if it’s initiated, meaning something plugged into it making contact. If that’s the situation, your only option unfortunately would be to disconnect the cameras, cigarette lighter power adapter every time you leave the vehicle. I truly hope this information helps. Unfortunately I returned them, I had bought 3 (1 for myself and 2 for Xmas presents) Maybe I'll bring myself to buy another brand lol. It will wait till next years black Friday sale.
@@washuaiki sorry to hear that they would’ve made great Christmas presents, I sure hope from the time I bought my model to the time you bought yours that there wasn’t some sort of firmware upgrade that’s causing this issue. I guess we’ll know if I keep getting more comments indicating similar related issues. I don’t know why else this would be happening.? You are correct there’s plenty of other choices out there for the same price point if you’re still interested in getting these as gifts as well as for yourself. As far as I know, it doesn’t have to stay on do keep in mind. These don’t hold a very long charge on a full charge. I think the last time I tested It only stayed on for about 15 minutes. To have constant power. it keeps its power from the cigarette lighter in your vehicle. Hope this information helps stay safe and sound and thanks for watching.👍🏽✌🏽
Thanks a lot! My neighbor just got this unit and I'm about to help her install and set it up so your video is a great help. One thing I noticed is that you said the Lock button locks the screen. On page 19 of the owners manual it says the Lock button will lock the current file and it can't be overwritten. Maybe it's two ways of saying the same thing?
Yes you can, that’s what I did in my video during the demonstration, I used a Brinker battery pack. The only issue that might arise is that the internal battery might not hold a charge till you use it again with battery pack to keep the date and time stamp correct, you would have to make sure date and time are correct during each use. Hi great reviews. how long is the wire rare camera. Is that fit to the toyota van hi ace.I bought this in amazon today for my small car. If its long wire/cable and will fit for van ill buy one for my partner. How about not to do the hardwiring in reverse cam.. can u connect it direct to rare cam to the main monitor?
Thanks for watching, I would say the wire is around 13 ft long. It would most likely fit a Toyota van. As for wiring with the back up light it would work without but you would need a 12v source for power and keep in mind this will keep the rear camera on constantly. Hope this helps. Hi, thanks so much for this video. I'm not sure my power supply is working correctly with the connector that came with the dash cam. The blue light came on, but that was it. Are there adaptors that I can use? I have a Prius C. Thanks for your help. Jeanie
Jeanne sorry to hear your having issues. If you say you’re getting a blue light that would indicate you’re getting some power perhaps just not enough. You can take the camera to your PC and plug it with the alternate USB data cable it came with and see if it will power up this way. You can even use a USB portable power bank and see if that will supply power to the camera as well. If you still end up with the blue light unfortunately it seems the camera is defective. if you are able to get the camera to turn on, then that would mean you would need to check your fuse box for the lighter fuse and replace it. It could be possibly defective or you need to clean the inside contacts of the lighter which the camera plugs into your car perhaps it’s not making full contact. I hope this helps. Hey love the video. Thank you so much. I might have missed from the video so I have one question. You said it loops every x amount of minutes. If I were to get into an accident, how do I make sure I save the necessary footage?
Charlie sorry for the late reply I’ve been kind of busy lately there’s no need to worry when I say loop it will continue running video all the way until the SD card is full and then immediately it’ll overwrite and start recording from the very beginning of the SD card. In the event you’re an accident simply either take the dash cam or the SD card with an SD card reader and connect it to your computer and save a copy to a USB drive in case its needed in court. I hope this helps I still have that camera today and it works just fine with no issues very glad I got it it brings a peace of mind when driving. Stay safe and sound👍🏽✌🏽

How do I get it to record back on itself? Like if I have a crash.... n press record it's not going back 3 minutes it recording from the moment I press it so it's pointless..... someone help please?
21:00 how long dose the power last with the car off cuz I’m just curious if it don’t last that long and the car is off and someone bump into the car how will it record if it lose battery that fast

I recently bought one and I don't know how to make it turn on when I start the car. I have to turn it on manually even though it is connected to the car all the time.
Daniel, thank you for watching. The car dash cam should automatically turn on when connected to the lighter in the vehicle, when the ignition is turned on, or even to ACC mode the power is supplied to the camera, which in turn automatically turns on. Have you checked the fuse to the lighter or have you tried the lighter itself to see if it actually heats up it could be a faulty fuse or a bad connection on the car lighter. Another way to test It is to actually connect the camera to a USB power supply (NOT FROM VEHICLE) and see if it supplies power if it does it most definitely is something wrong with the vehicles lighter or it’s power source. If it doesn’t then unfortunately your dash camera might be defective Let’s hope this is not the case. Hope this information helps you. Stay safe and sound.👍🏽✌🏽
@@DanielLewin-y4b are you using your car lighter as it’s power source? Did you check the fuse? Lastly what time of vehicle do you drive? If it’s a Peugeot, or BMW for some reason, those foreign vehicles keep power, active, even though vehicle is off. After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as the audio equipment, windscreen wipers, dipped beam headlamps, courtesy lamps, etc. for a maximum combined duration of thirty minutes. May explain why the power is staying on
Sorry for the late response and thanks for watching. If you follow my video it’s under menu options. I explain how you can change the date. If for some reason it changed on you it could’ve been either a power fluctuation through the vehicle that caused it to default or change. Other than that I don’t understand why it would do that my never has.? Hope this helps you stay safe.👍🏽✌🏽

Thanks for watching and sorry for the delayed response. As for your question as long as the USB supplies power when in accessory mode via key ignition. It will charge long enough to keep time and date stamps as well as supply power to the unit for approximately 10-12 minutes if pulled away from its power source. I do wish it would supply a longer time with remote power to the unit however that would require a bigger battery and it would be more expensive. I hope this helps stay safe.👍🏽✌🏽
So if i were to get in an accident or see something and want to make sure it saves, I'm confused as to what button I should press to save current recording?
Thanks for watching you would not really need to worry about when to push any button to stop the recording or to begin the recording if you set it up during installation it would ask what intervals do you wish to record I believe it was 3,5 and 10 minutes. This indicates that the camera will constantly record within those times indicated so in other words you’ll always have the video recording in the event you do get in an accident as soon as you stop the vehicle power it will stop recording at that point. If you leave the ignition switch on it will continue to record as long as the accident would not have involved the battery being discharged or a short circuit. Hope this explains a few things stay safe out there.👍🏽✌🏽

Thanks for watching, The camera does come with what they call Shock sensor indicating if anyone bumps the vehicle it will start recording for I’m assuming 1-2 minutes the reason why I say assuming is because I have not tried this feature yet reasons for that, are I would think the vehicle has to be bumped pretty hard in order for the camera to take effect. It all depends on how sensitive the inner sensor in the camera detects motion or vibration I should say. I wish I can give you more detail on that feature but again I never actually used this feature. Hope this helps stay safe and sound.👍🏽✌🏽
If you’re wondering how long you can run the video recorder when it’s not connected to power that’s the only downfall with this unit you’ll only get about 10-12 minutes live recording. If powered on via power source you can record infinitely if you set loop recording and have a large SD card installed. So YES it will continue when its full. @@kevinmichaud3783 I would activate loop recording because what this does is it allows the SD card to continue recording when it is completely full. Once you set this adjustment you can’t go wrong as long as you’re driving the vehicle the camera will always record regardless if the SD card gets full at that point you can always go back and catch the video that captures the incident. Truly hope this helps.
I have this dashcam and I have a problem I can't solve, on playback it plays too fast, I've tried changing setting and seems to work, I got it on Amazon so before I send it back has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for the video. Just got this camera but even though it's a 1080 I'm not impressed by the image quality. I'm sure it uses an inferior sensor. I remember the G1W dash cam (the original, not the knock offs that came after) I got when it came out 10 years ago had superior image quality that was very impressive for a $45 dash cam. The images looked sharp and crisp and looked as if they were taken with a point and shoot camera. Unfortunately, all the ones sold for around $50 since that one and till this day don't seem to have good sensors. The image (videos) seem to be washed out or too grainy in the shade with the colors being weird and off. I've tried many but they're all the same. I have to use VLC video settings to try and get a somewhat decent image quality when reviewing a video, not the case with the old G1W where videos looked really good without any editing. But I know this isn't for shooting good videos but for recording evidence.... That G1W lasted me many years but one summer day it decided the heat was too much for it all of a sudden and it stopped working properly. Never leave these things in the sun too long or they'll eventually malfunction -happened to me more than once and I don't even live in a hot area. Now, I'm wondering what I'd have to do to connect the rear cam to my reverse light in an '05 corolla (standard). Never done any wiring before.
Adam, thanks for watching. I totally agree with your experience. It seems once a good product is sold it lures the consumer into that particular product and everything afterwards just seems to be made a little bit cheaper unfortunately. I hate to say it, but I do live in Texas and my camera. The one that this video is about is actually starting to show signs of wear and tear. I might be putting out another video with another dash cam however, I would like to mention this one lasted a very long time and it’s my fault for keeping it in the vehicle constantly once installed I never took it out. That’s good advice you’ve given on doing so. As for installing the rear camera with this particular model simply install it to your positive wire on your back up light (My positive was light blue) anytime you go in reverse the camera will kick onto the reverse camera. Thanks for watching sorry I missed the mark. I’ve never really been such a good good aim. It’s really not that difficult all you need to do is take the red wire and tap into the positive wire on your reverse bulb wiring harness. You can use a multimeter to find out which is the positive or just connect to either wire it’ll only effect the camera when you go into reverse so if you have the wrong wire the camera will never change to the reverse camera. Thanks for watching , make sure that red wire is connected to the rear backup light positive wire + not the negative -. Rear camera gets its power from that source and comes to full screen when your backing up. Hope this helps.
@@jessieborromeo1094 No it works both when reversing and while in display mode. You can monitor the rear camera and front simultaneously, the rear camera takes full screen only when reversing. Hope this helps stay safe.
I’m not sure why it wouldn’t save them? Possible defective SD card. Try formatting it on your PC and then reformatting it on the actual camera and see if this helps?

Hey love the video. Thank you so much. I might have missed from the video so I have one question. You said it loops every x amount of minutes. If I were to get into an accident, how do I make sure I save the necessary footage?
Charlie sorry for the late reply I’ve been kind of busy lately there’s no need to worry when I say loop it will continue running video all the way until the SD card is full and then immediately it’ll overwrite and start recording from the very beginning of the SD card. In the event you’re an accident simply either take the dash cam or the SD card with an SD card reader and connect it to your computer and save a copy to a USB drive in case its needed in court. I hope this helps I still have that camera today and it works just fine with no issues very glad I got it it brings a peace of mind when driving. Stay safe and sound👍🏽✌🏽

I recently bought one and I don't know how to make it turn on when I start the car. I have to turn it on manually even though it is connected to the car all the time.
Daniel, thank you for watching. The car dash cam should automatically turn on when connected to the lighter in the vehicle, when the ignition is turned on, or even to ACC mode the power is supplied to the camera, which in turn automatically turns on. Have you checked the fuse to the lighter or have you tried the lighter itself to see if it actually heats up it could be a faulty fuse or a bad connection on the car lighter. Another way to test It is to actually connect the camera to a USB power supply (NOT FROM VEHICLE) and see if it supplies power if it does it most definitely is something wrong with the vehicles lighter or it’s power source. If it doesn’t then unfortunately your dash camera might be defective Let’s hope this is not the case. Hope this information helps you. Stay safe and sound.👍🏽✌🏽

@@DanielLewin-y4b are you using your car lighter as it’s power source? Did you check the fuse? Lastly what time of vehicle do you drive? If it’s a Peugeot, or BMW for some reason, those foreign vehicles keep power, active, even though vehicle is off. After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as the audio equipment, windscreen wipers, dipped beam headlamps, courtesy lamps, etc. for a maximum combined duration of thirty minutes.
May explain why the power is staying on

How do you change the date? For some reason mine went to a 2021 date about three weeks ago
Sorry for the late response and thanks for watching. If you follow my video it’s under menu options. I explain how you can change the date. If for some reason it changed on you it could’ve been either a power fluctuation through the vehicle that caused it to default or change. Other than that I don’t understand why it would do that my never has.? Hope this helps you stay safe.👍🏽✌🏽

Can I power this via USB power inside my vehicle instead of cig lighter?
Thanks for watching and sorry for the delayed response. As for your question as long as the USB supplies power when in accessory mode via key ignition. It will charge long enough to keep time and date stamps as well as supply power to the unit for approximately 10-12 minutes if pulled away from its power source. I do wish it would supply a longer time with remote power to the unit however that would require a bigger battery and it would be more expensive. I hope this helps stay safe.👍🏽✌🏽
So if i were to get in an accident or see something and want to make sure it saves, I'm confused as to what button I should press to save current recording?
Thanks for watching you would not really need to worry about when to push any button to stop the recording or to begin the recording if you set it up during installation it would ask what intervals do you wish to record I believe it was 3,5 and 10 minutes. This indicates that the camera will constantly record within those times indicated so in other words you’ll always have the video recording in the event you do get in an accident as soon as you stop the vehicle power it will stop recording at that point. If you leave the ignition switch on it will continue to record as long as the accident would not have involved the battery being discharged or a short circuit. Hope this explains a few things stay safe out there.👍🏽✌🏽

Dose this camera have parking mode?
Thanks for watching, The camera does come with what they call Shock sensor indicating if anyone bumps the vehicle it will start recording for I’m assuming 1-2 minutes the reason why I say assuming is because I have not tried this feature yet reasons for that, are I would think the vehicle has to be bumped pretty hard in order for the camera to take effect. It all depends on how sensitive the inner sensor in the camera detects motion or vibration I should say. I wish I can give you more detail on that feature but again I never actually used this feature. Hope this helps stay safe and sound.👍🏽✌🏽

If you’re wondering how long you can run the video recorder when it’s not connected to power that’s the only downfall with this unit you’ll only get about 10-12 minutes live recording. If powered on via power source you can record infinitely if you set loop recording and have a large SD card installed. So YES it will continue when its full. @@kevinmichaud3783 I would activate loop recording because what this does is it allows the SD card to continue recording when it is completely full. Once you set this adjustment you can’t go wrong as long as you’re driving the vehicle the camera will always record regardless if the SD card gets full at that point you can always go back and catch the video that captures the incident. Truly hope this helps.

I have this dashcam and I have a problem I can't solve, on playback it plays too fast, I've tried changing setting and seems to work, I got it on Amazon so before I send it back has anyone else had this problem?
How do you format the memory card

Thanks for the video. Just got this camera but even though it's a 1080 I'm not impressed by the image quality. I'm sure it uses an inferior sensor. I remember the G1W dash cam (the original, not the knock offs that came after) I got when it came out 10 years ago had superior image quality that was very impressive for a $45 dash cam. The images looked sharp and crisp and looked as if they were taken with a point and shoot camera. Unfortunately, all the ones sold for around $50 since that one and till this day don't seem to have good sensors. The image (videos) seem to be washed out or too grainy in the shade with the colors being weird and off. I've tried many but they're all the same. I have to use VLC video settings to try and get a somewhat decent image quality when reviewing a video, not the case with the old G1W where videos looked really good without any editing. But I know this isn't for shooting good videos but for recording evidence.... That G1W lasted me many years but one summer day it decided the heat was too much for it all of a sudden and it stopped working properly. Never leave these things in the sun too long or they'll eventually malfunction -happened to me more than once and I don't even live in a hot area.
Now, I'm wondering what I'd have to do to connect the rear cam to my reverse light in an '05 corolla (standard). Never done any wiring before.
Adam, thanks for watching. I totally agree with your experience. It seems once a good product is sold it lures the consumer into that particular product and everything afterwards just seems to be made a little bit cheaper unfortunately. I hate to say it, but I do live in Texas and my camera. The one that this video is about is actually starting to show signs of wear and tear. I might be putting out another video with another dash cam however, I would like to mention this one lasted a very long time and it’s my fault for keeping it in the vehicle constantly once installed I never took it out. That’s good advice you’ve given on doing so. As for installing the rear camera with this particular model simply install it to your positive wire on your back up light (My positive was light blue) anytime you go in reverse the camera will kick onto the reverse camera. Thanks for watching sorry I missed the mark. I’ve never really been such a good good aim. It’s really not that difficult all you need to do is take the red wire and tap into the positive wire on your reverse bulb wiring harness. You can use a multimeter to find out which is the positive or just connect to either wire it’ll only effect the camera when you go into reverse so if you have the wrong wire the camera will never change to the reverse camera. why does my rear camera not working?
Thanks for watching , make sure that red wire is connected to the rear backup light positive wire + not the negative -. Rear camera gets its power from that source and comes to full screen when your backing up. Hope this helps.

The dash camera won't save videos to my sd card
I’m not sure why it wouldn’t save them? Possible defective SD card. Try formatting it on your PC and then reformatting it on the actual camera and see if this helps?
