Watching the series from start to finish reminded me about the infinite love i have for this game and his community. Even after 10 (!) years, games still give me goosebumps and i watch them with so much joy and passion. What a ride it has been bois !
That was probably the most intense series in the entire history of starcraft. Their combined APM was higher than my mind can even comprehend. It's like a dragonball z fight where they're moving so fast that the untrained eye doesn't know what's going on.
Also like dragonball z all the side characters are just episode fillers you know are gonna lose…which made the whole tournament very boring and predictable
@@Tomoyo0827 No it wasnt, Clem lost to DRG and Serral lost to Zest. Its not like they just 2-0 3-0 everyone until the final match. There was competition in this tournament, but in the end the better players showed up.

Clem and Serral are both insane. Those two plus reynor are always my favorite games to watch. We need a Protoss on this level because serral and Clem really do seem to be a league of their own

Reynor Maru Dark and Rogue, Zest (on a good day) would dis-agree. Also Trap, if he can get over whatever the hell his inner issue is, could also be up there.
@hung po players coming back tend to drop off a bit in skill, also there’s a chance he might not as starcraft is starting to die off
I’m not claiming there are not other top players, reynor has always been a personal favorite, nor am I saying those players can’t beat serral or Clem. Clem vs serral seems like a 50/50 split for example on wins loses, reynor vs Clem, Clem seems to win 8 or 9 out of 10 series they play. My point is serral and Clem seem to be on a league of their own
@@Rath_9 Clem vs Maru is like an 20/80 and you seems to not mention that.
Clem vs Rogue/Dark is also a 50/50 as well.
Reynor is on a big rough couple months, but he just 4-0 Clem in one of the weekly tournament earlier.
Zest and Trap also gave Serral a run for his money in recent SAHSC as well.
There are more competition than just 2 guys "on a league of their own"
As a Zerg main, I am totally disgusted about Clem's marine micro. It's impossible to stop that, and I cannot believe how Serral remains so calm, I feel like I am being upset for him just watching. Lovely series!
Terran has always been the faction that feels like cheating. If you can micro well with marines, you're essentially unbeatable.
I'm happy for Lowko for becoming such a big thing in the SC world

Both players have really brought SC2 to a whole new level, where perfect split and multitasking 2-3 fights seem like the norm.

@@arauthus Yeah I remember SC2HL adjusting the brightness of his vid for 1 of the games on this map. But that was 1 single game, not a best of 5 match.

After seeing this game i ask myself :" how this game isn't one of most popular e-sport today, i've never seen something similar", i mean this match is spectacular like one of NBA or Champions League. How is it possible that is slowly declining? Is Blizzard the only responsable for this?
Yep, Blizzard Activision F this up big time, they pretty much dont give a F about the game and esport anymore, only letting ESL running tournament but provide little technical/gameplay support.

Viewers like team games. Almost all Esports is team games. They should focus on a multiplayer esports for Starcraft if they want to get a bigger fan base.

After watching a series like this every other player seems like a noob.
This is like the modern equivalent of TaeJa vs Life. Just a few years ago it would have been laughable to predict two foreigners delivering some of the highest level play in the world. I feel like Serral almost single-handedly lifted the EU scene onto his shoulders and brought them up to the level of Koreans. Now we have Clem and Reynor too, who are capable of taking series and tournaments against the best of the best. SC2 definitely not dead game =)

Oh, you lost a ground engagement? Other races have pay for it by losing the remaining units. Terran? Let me just pick up my units in a medivac and boost out of there. Broken AF. You overwhelmed my base? Let me just lift CC and you can't kill my expansion now.
I play T myself so I'm least biased to say this.
zerg has really trash anti air
Starcraft never had a chance to be ballanced ever. Or even recent games like Spellsomething 3. The problem is that ANY range unit in ANY game increase it's potential dps on single target by theire range. So like if you have 3 marine in a line all in range of a single unit then you technicly have a single unit with all 3 marines hp with all 3 marines dps. Yeah it const more, but it also has heal mobility massive buffs that increase dps / marine.
The only way ANY similar game could be ballanced if they trace each range unit's line of sight and prevent shoting over themself, or getting massive disadvantages doing so. Or prevent them from attacking behind the front line of the enemy etc. Unfortunatelly sc1 wasnt writen like that neither 2 and pretty much any other game ever.
And after all that they decided to give them snipers with more health, nearly uncatchable spead, and retarded long range and damage. Cylones lol. its just a joke.

Ive not been into the pro scene on SC for a while now due to non interest and other games etc.
Happy as fuck to see that these 2 guys have gotten to cast together, great dudes and great casting. I suppose I can say the same for old Serral, what a legend, been at the top of the scene now for months on end. Clem, what can you say, crazy Terran.

It's so cool watching these players adapt to each other's play. I'm pretty sure clem developed his heavy widow mine style to counter serral and reynor's mass ling/bane in the first place and now serral's learning to counter his counter.
Widow mines need to go. Automated units with massive potential value shouldn't be a thing. So dumb and boring to watch. Turns the game into a PvE game.

What an unbelievably entertaining and nail-biting game. Both of these players are putting in their best effort and skill as well as fighting tooth and nail against each other.
They represent the limit of human beings on SC2 and the pinnacle of RTS aesthetics

Scan needs a freaking cooldown, good lord. Just like 1 second longer than the scan lasts, can hold 3 charges or something. Poor lurkers.

As a french zerg player, this was agonizing to watch 😢 Amazing micro. A series of this caliber happens once in a blue moon. Fantastic plays by the two of them. I don't think there are this many games with such a level displayed. One of the best I've ever seen since the game was released

you can hardly name a 3-3 Marine with widow mine and Medivec support a Tier 1 Unit. And don´t forget a marine sucks aas if its not controlled and with godlike micro like we see in this video
I don't play SC2 I just really like to watch it, but I see this TvZ matchup all the time with tons of marines, medivacs and ghosts against lings banelings, and lurkers and it always seem like such an insane uphill battle for the zerg because they can never really get kills do to medivacs picking the units up, and the lurkers getting straight up hard countered by the ghosts, why is it that zerg players don't invest into even a little bit of anti air to get rid of the medivacs and solve like 80 percent of their bad trades?

Kinda hate that Clem doesn't like to split marines vs banelings, he just prefers to avoid the engagement and pick up. Not always the best option there. Koreans still do marine splits vs banelings and get better trades and even win the fights to push more.
Compared to Lowko, all other comentators sound like dumb stoners :D Lowko you are absolute pro, when it comes to commentating.
