It was an honour and a privilege to have Larry and Peggy Neaves as my neighbors across the street for some 15 years here in Florida. They moved to Texas in 2008. Thank God things turned out so well for them and those wonderful rescues. Now that's what I call a retirement! Great job Larry and Peggy!

I have visited Peggy and Larry's ranch twice, and I can tell you that they are modern day miracle workers. One of my favorite horses - Jessup - resides there; and had he not gone there, he would be dead today. God definitely has His hand on Peggy and Larry and their four legged children. They are what horse rescue is all about.
Incredible couple! I only have one rescued horse, but what this couple is doing is just outstanding.
But, one rescued is one rescued! Never compare yourself to what someone else has done like your one isn't important! Every life saved is a life gained in so many many ways! Hold that head high! If the opportunity is right you will rescue more! Bless you!

That is so awesome. Even with the long hours and work, I wouldn't consider it a type of any kind of a job. Just a labor of care and love given to those in need. If I had the means and physical health, I'd do the same thing. Thank you so much Larry and Peggy for taking on that wonderful and rewarding venture. The horses love you for it and so do I. Wish more people out there were like you.
I feel the same way about my physical abilities! I had a very serious injury in 2005 that has left me messed up for the rest of my life. I mourn the things I can no longer do, garden, keep up a large house and yard. But I have been been blessed by God with many talents I can use for his glory! Even if one day I can no longer walk, he still has work for me, that may be the day I start singing a lot again! So I try to be thankful for what I CAN do and not the things I no longer can. There is something out there for you as well! Pray about it, if you are serious about service, God will answer your prayers and send a job perfect for you! I’m sure you’re not reading these comments anymore but I want to thank you, I was on the precipice of life, I only took rescue babies and couldn’t afford horses which was a strong passion I had given up, I had gone as far as to make sure my fur babies had good homes to go to when I left this life, your video showed me that I’m not done here! It’s my job to be here and deal with the assholes of humanity, that I can give a safe home to those beautiful beings when others won’t. Without me here these poor innocent souls, the ones I CAN help, actually means something. Thank you for showing and saving me too xxx I can’t thank you enough

God bless this couple for what they are doing! Their love and compassion for those majestic creatures is heartwarming to me as a huge horse lover! What is being done to our horses, mules and donkeys in this country is heartbreaking! Some humans have no problem to abuse and torture an other living being, humans that have no soul or conscience! I know that first hand from doing rescue work and fostering many dogs. My first love are horses and will always be my passion, even at my age of 75. Every animal has the right to be treated right and taken care of! No animal deserves to be mistreated, abused, starved or neclected! It absolutely breaks my heart when I hear or see anything like that! I am so impressed with this couple and what they are doing, with the staple being immaculate and clean, the special meals they prepare for those animals and the love and compassion they have for them as well. God bless them! 😊❤️❤️❤️

I personally give thks that they are in a position to offer so much. See my channel for the abused, abandoned, neglected rescued dogs that I had the pleasure to transport into rescue groups from the abusive midwest owners to Denver. I'm also in the struggle to being able to fulfill one of my childhood dreams. I got lucky to have gained some lands, and I really wanted to offer my space, love patience and time to animals in need. The problem is always the same. Not even close to be possible.
I made an appeal so I could gather staff with the knowledge in every area of the health, build facilities, food and all kind of supplies. As I am mentally sick to feel frustrated I even made a PayPal account to ask for donations, but I understand people don't really care to help, or don't believe too.
At the moment I only sheltered one senior horse, who actually is in need which makes me cry a lot especially because is alone. No other horse in many kilometers.
So, I ll keep trying.
Bless people like u that do what I would love to do with my life.

I love what you are doing for these wonderful creatures God created and pronounced, good. I once imagined doing the same for senior horses but realize there is a lot more than love involved that I don't have. So I worked with senior people for many years. You are the real "beautiful people" and have what most people don't look for, or want to sacrifice themselves to. Something greater than themselves.

I left the USA at 21 never went back. I never felt safe or that anything was fair. Glad I was not a horse. They all look beautiful because of you. I thank you sincerely......I will do that feed for a week and you can have my place in Switzerland, nice up here in the Alps.....I know you wouldn't but how sweet any exchange would be..love to you.

An idea, could Larry & Peggy set up a training foundation for people to come out learn hug a horse and help out? Many hands make light work, but it will bring a lifting spirit to the human souls just needing a hug and connection, same for the horses. Possibly nursing homes, retirement villages, grey nomads missing critters, schools, also the big end of town could adopt/ sponsor a horse get a monthly report or video, they could right it off on tax, while you get passive income to take care of the horses. A win win situation . There are a lot of good people in our world this could benefit all in so many different ways. You guys are absurd amazing. If you could use help, I would consider moving from Iowa. I have a 27 yr old Morgan gelding and my Doll Face is a 5 yr old Egyptian Arabian I rescued last year for my 49th birthday. Horses are priceless to my mental health. Bless you for what you're doing with them.

I found this story deeply touching. For all the reasons you might think and for some many might not ever consider. See I have never really been an "animal" person, in the respect that I wasnt allowed to have them as pets. This was the result of a Father's love, trying to protect us from the hurt of losing an animal to heartworms as he did and the heartache it causes. He never wanted us to have to miss our favorite pet. So, that explains that I didnt grow up with pets and of course you can deduce I didnt grow up on a farm. That doesn't mean that I cant love animals and in my later life find myself in a place where I crave their companionship. Other than one simple word, cruelty or maybe evil is the only thing I can think of as to why someone would purposely harm an innocent animal! Now I dont mean if the animal is attacking someone, that's a different ballgame and I would be the first person in line to save someone, especially a child even if it did mean harm to the animal. But as to this couple and the reporter asking them why they do what they do, the couple didnt seem overly religious, BUT, even if they aren't I still believe that the Lord has special jobs set apart for special people! I think this couple are a case of one or two as it were of those special people! Sometimes you dont know why you do something, you just have to do it! I pray that when I leave this Earth at least a few people will think something I did was worthy to speak about! I tend to love and do for others even more than I do for myself, the reason? Because, I love people, children and those who cant do for themselves or might need just a little help. A simple smile and thank you goes a long way in my heart and are music to my ears and most often breaks my own face into a smile in return. Thank you for this touching story of love and kindness! May God bless in some way all who see this segment!

Yall are so awesome! I've always loved horse's and I use to own 6 horse's when I was a teen I'm 46 now and never stopped loving them. We saved a couple of horse's that would of ended up killed. 1 was a 17yr old thoroughbred and the other was a 7yr old standardbred sulky racehorse .We use to hook him up to a homemade sulky and he loved it ♥ Those was some of the best years of my life. It's a shame that they kill these beautiful animals. So sad. I just wanted to say god bless you and it's awesome what you and your wife are doing .😊
