Hi!, I was wondering what you would recommend for a brand who needs brand awareness but doesn't have its own ecommerce page? We sell our food product in different sales points - would conversion still be the best option? I struggle with this particular case.
Hi Ben, thank you for the video! Your advice on focusing on acquisitions via -> improving your offer -> having great pricing -> delivering inexplicable service is great, but for the brand I'm working with, it doesn't quite apply. Please advice: How would you increase brand awareness for a premium product, that's positioned in the upper end of the price spectrum within our niche. We have great brand potential, storytelling and product, however I'm seeing a cap/plateau with our conversions ads, that makes it hard to scale. I believe we need to build more brand and get a higher amount of cold prospects into the funnel, but how would you go about this, utilizing meta ads (or another tool)? Again, thanks for always providing value! All the best:)
I really like your videos, but I don't understand this one, so okay, we will not do a brand awareness campaign; we will try to get people to try our brand, but how? I believe u should have mentioned an alternative objective, me myself I use reach to reach as many people as possible from my target audience, or maybe we should use engagement or messages to get people who interact with similar brands to notice us; please tell us more about your recommended method as I didn't get from this video
How = aggressive customer acquisition. That means offering something they find hard to refuse that blows your competition out the water. Could be price, could be an incredible deal.
@@BenHeath Still makes no sense and i feel alot of your videos is pretty obvious information. It would be nice if you translated the "common sense" information you always state into actionable FB ad objectives and setting up campaigns.
What if you sell your products in store not online? Like if your product is sold in a regional chain and you want your customer to purchase there vs online. Does a conversion ad still work? What would you point the link to?
Ben you're a voice of sanity in a sea of FB 'guru' nonsense so thank you. I wish you had a boutique service for small arts-based local businesses like mine who don't spend 3K a month for their lead gen!
Hi Ben, we just launched a new beauty brand. From the video it seems like you are recommending straight to conversions ads. Isn't it better that we first do a brand awareness campaign then retarget the engaged audience with a conversion ad? Wouldn't that give us a better overall ROAS?
We just launched a Homecare brand , dealing with all homecare cleaning essentials eith exceptional quality... But people are only prefering big brands with big tv commercials... What to do
Great vid as always. What's your take on doing a "Conversion" campaign to large cold audiences and having one campaign for Brand Awareness in the middle of those "Conversions" retargetting campaigng? Do you recommend having campaign for say, Link clicks to blog posts and such for those cold audiences who have watched your videos and visited the website? Do you prefer one over the other or non?
hello ben i already watched all your videos . i want to ask u hope i got an answer i have a fashion brand but not online purchase . we tryied the sale conversion and the leads non worked and now we are runing the awarness the real question is that in awarness u dont get likes is the reach real ? or the one is reaching they dont interact . and we did an awarness campaign and we choose custom audience who follow us . whats your opinion
@Ben Heath Hi Ben, Thank you, will two ad sets with exact the same targeting compete against each other and should you turn one of them off if you wanna scale?
@@fpejanovic @Ben Heath Hi Filip, thank you. This was the way I always was doing, Duplicating and changing something on the targeting, for instance adding one more targeting. But last week I had a conversation with FB marketing expert and I was told to not do this because the ad sets will compete with each other. I got very confused when i heard that and i am not too sure if i should follow that advice? What is your experience? Will it be fine to change something on the targeting when duplicating?
@@BenHeath What if i just change something on the targeting when duplicating? For instance adding one more targeting to the duplicated ad set. Do i still need to turn off the original ad set due to two ad sets competing with each other? Thanks
so run the engagment first to grab social proof for something like a story about a roofing company etc, and create that trust then maybe later run a messeg ad or converison, could a reach or brandawarness do the same or would you head straight away with an engagment ad.
Hey Ben, what's the best retargeting/custom audience options/settings do you recommend from brand awareness campaign ? I picked "everyone who engaged with the ad" but i would love to hear your insight on this. Cheers :)
Oh and also, my custom audience source is Instagram account since my client is only using Instagram and i thought the other options with instagram on it doesn't really make any sense.
That's a pretty good option. I would usually go with large retargeting audiences so which one we select will depend on the business and what they have.
hi ben, thank you for your video. It's really helpful!I wonder if you could explain more detailed about the brand awareness? For example, the suggested brand awareness creative? Thank you in advence:)
@@BenHeath Great video! What if you are not selling a product? Hello @ben, i had my events setup and i can see some leads but i cannot filter it down by location as it shows unknown next to the number of leads ? Can u pls help am i missing something ??
Thanks Lenny - I can't talk about specific examples but just about any ecom brand that has grown very quickly on the platform will take this sort of approach.
Hi ben, Thank you again for this video. I'm coaching a US brand who want to launch in France and they propose A nutri Score in Groceries app, what objective would you use in this case ? Thank you again.
It can be very tricky to get someone's attention initially without doing so though. You'd have to include something else significant - such as influencer involvement in your ads.
Only Coca Cola type brands should use brand awareness. OTHERWISE it seems everyone is recommending conversions (something easy for people to do, not necessarily buy immediately)
Great video Ben! my e-commerce clothing start up is running at £20 a day. Someone said I should be at £70-£100 a day but is there any need to spend this much while in testing mode? Thanks
Thanks for watching guys! Let me know what you think in the comments :)

Wise words, brand is like a long-term pension plan vs saving cash in your bank account. Nice vid.
Great analogy!
Yes great analogy :)
i'm a musician, how can i build brand? conversions to my spotify? brand awareness objective?

yes, it doenst make sense to have the same targeting at the adset level, change something so you dont confuse the algorithm

Is running giveaways using fb ads against their terms or rules?
You have to be very careful now. It is possible, but it's worth going through their support docs on it first.
Ben Heath yea i m suspicious about it too now regarding their terms of use & so
Thanks for being helpful as always ben
Keep going

Advertise on Facebook
Would it devalue the brand if your selling a premium product if you give huge discounts?
That is a consideration - it probably depends what you are advertising.
It can be very tricky to get someone's attention initially without doing so though. You'd have to include something else significant - such as influencer involvement in your ads.
Can we run Facebook loan ad ?
ie Home Loan
Mortgage loan
Car loan
Personal loan
Yes but you'll have to be very careful to not get your ad account disabled.

No I would be very wary of scaling up while in testing mod. It's best to establish at least some stuff that works first.
Great advise!
