I personally think that if you have any chance of opposing that change, you should have stayed to help that church maintain a population of true belivers

I still would like to visit a local Ethiopian Orthodox/Coptic Church where I feel I would be more welcome as a person of African descent ( and other ethnicity as well). I have recently come back from a holiday on a Greek island and was speaking to people there about what's going on in this country regarding the church, what's being 'taught' to children in schools about gender and sex education(grooming) etc etc. I speak fluent Greek which is great, as I can explain perfectly. They were absolutely shocked and stunned at what I told them and literally couldn't comprehend what I was saying! If ANYTHING like that happened in one of their little schools on that island, teachers would be dragged out and who knows what would happen to them. They are orthodox Greeks and their faith is strong, God is protecting them from many things, including Islam. They will not allow ANY Muslims onto their little island, it was so wonderful to see their patriotism and protection over their land and their culture. Other Greek islands that have been filled with a mixture of foreigners and with just a few Greeks left, have fallen 'victim' to Islam because, I believe, they have turned from God. In Athens, the woke agenda is in full swing, as in most cities, due to a big part of its population being made up of left wing socialist students and again, foreigners, many of which are economical 'refugees'... I would love to go out there one day with the purpose of making a report to show people how this agenda IS a western thing as you said... A small minority buy into 'woke' views. Most in the UK are libertarian. They believe in individual sovereignty and bodily autonomy. If religious people confine their beliefs to fellow believers the vast majority of the population would die fighting for your right to practice your religion as you see fit. So, in a country where most believe in bodily autonomy - trying to legislate against abortion will make you enemies. The goal is to preach love first and foremost, and to condemn sin without condemning the sinner. It's all too easy to mistake one for the other. A kind, loving, yet thoroughly unshakable adherence to the teaching of Christ, never swayed by the passing of time or the whim of the day. (mat 15,4, mat 22,31, mark 7,8-13). Jesus also clearly saw the Old Testament as the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Calvin, bringing people in the door of the church can be the hardest part. Showing the people who feel completely unwelcome in that space, that if they’re experiencing a spiritual awakening they will find solace, guidance and a sense of belonging beyond those doors. The rainbow crowd have long existed within the church, discreetly, let’s not kid ourselves. If they’re brave enough to leave their echo chamber to find answers in higher places, why discourage them? Many churches are boarded up or sold on (local one to me has recently become a gym) Some that fly a flag to encourage attendance are employing desperate measures, rather than realigning doctrine.

I have recently come back from a holiday on a Greek island and was speaking to people there about what's going on in this country regarding the church, what's being 'taught' to children in schools about gender and sex education(grooming) etc etc. I speak fluent Greek which is great, as I can explain perfectly. They were absolutely shocked and stunned at what I told them and literally couldn't comprehend what I was saying! If ANYTHING like that happened in one of their little schools on that island, teachers would be dragged out and who knows what would happen to them. They are orthodox Greeks and their faith is strong, God is protecting them from many things, including Islam. They will not allow ANY Muslims onto their little island, it was so wonderful to see their patriotism and protection over their land and their culture. Other Greek islands that have been filled with a mixture of foreigners and with just a few Greeks left, have fallen 'victim' to Islam because, I believe, they have turned from God.
In Athens, the woke agenda is in full swing, as in most cities, due to a big part of its population being made up of left wing socialist students and again, foreigners, many of which are economical 'refugees'... I would love to go out there one day with the purpose of making a report to show people how this agenda IS a western thing as you said... I may try to apply to move to that Greek island on the grounds of Religious asylum!

I now watch John MacArthur at Grace Community Church and like Dr Stanley has been preaching for over half a century. He's now in his 80's. A small minority buy into 'woke' views. Most in the UK are libertarian. They believe in individual sovereignty and bodily autonomy. If religious people confine their beliefs to fellow believers the vast majority of the population would die fighting for your right to practice your religion as you see fit. They 'danger' area is when religious people try to impose their beliefs on others - when you do that you turn most of the population against you.
So, in a country where most believe in bodily autonomy - trying to legislate against abortion will make you enemies. In a country where most people have gay friends and relatives - trying to legislate against same sex marriage will make you enemies. But preaching what YOU believe to be true to people that want to listen - people will defend that right to the death.

The goal is to preach love first and foremost, and to condemn sin without condemning the sinner. It's all too easy to mistake one for the other. A kind, loving, yet thoroughly unshakable adherence to the teaching of Christ, never swayed by the passing of time or the whim of the day. If we follow to the letter what Jesus taught, we will inevitably present to the world a sword that divides, and the glint off that blade will be the beacon that shines into the dark places, yet it won't drive away Gods children, it will welcome them in.

Jesus repeatedly and explicitly refers to the Old Testament as the Word of God.
For example, in reference to Old Testament books He refers to them as 'For God commanded...' (mat 15,4, mat 22,31, mark 7,8-13).
Jesus also clearly saw the Old Testament as the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
Jesus predicted and promised that the Holy Spirit would speak to His apostles to give the final revelation of God to humans - the New Testament in John 14,25-26 and 16,12-13.

Father Calvin I think we are praying for the statuesl like here in the Philippines we idolize them, we kneel, offer flowers, money in front of a statue. There are prayers for every saints/statue. Cebu was converted with Christianity when Spaniards were holding a statue and the other hand is holding a sword .

Calvin, bringing people in the door of the church can be the hardest part. Showing the people who feel completely unwelcome in that space, that if they’re experiencing a spiritual awakening they will find solace, guidance and a sense of belonging beyond those doors. The rainbow crowd have long existed within the church, discreetly, let’s not kid ourselves.
If they’re brave enough to leave their echo chamber to find answers in higher places, why discourage them?
Many churches are boarded up or sold on (local one to me has recently become a gym) Some that fly a flag to encourage attendance are employing desperate measures, rather than realigning doctrine.
