I had one for 12 years and he was very super easy to train. I would say staffys are simple dogs to own but they can be destructive (they will rip apart a shoe in seconds). Perfect family dogs, I love them.

I have a blue too (Charlie) and I must say he's my little ray of sunshine. He also shares his food and drink with other animals. His cat Sky is his favourite of course. He's got a few tricks but I'd love to teach him the play dead one. Staffies are amazing dogs and I've never come across a bad one yet! I have come across a few labs that have gone for both of us at the vets. Just goes to show it's definitely not the dog but always the human!

Please neuter him so you do not inflict pain onto him and give him a life he should never deserve: not the life to be used over and over and over again… just for profit and to show what a responsible “breeder” he may be to you. Give him the life without being bred and he will be a happier, more house-trained, and appropriately approachable beautiful boy!
beautiful staffy! he looks a lil bigger than a english staffy but i can't honestly tell. amstaff or english staff? i had a german shepherd mixed w pit but i never found out what kind of pit she was, she was 56 lbs and trained her to be my wheelchair assistant service dog. That is so cool..I wonder how long it to to train the dog to do these things..probably not that long..this dog seems very focused on what he is doing so much so that as he's doing one move he's already anticipating the next one..also, I would love to know what kind of a treat that the guy is using..it seems like the dog would do just about anything for them
Amazing work mate. I love how he is so focused on you and quick to respond. You've clearly put a lot of work into your relationship. Where did you learn to do all that? Our 11 month old boy, Buddy, looks so similar. I've taught him a few of these, like play dead, roll over, and shake hands, but he's not as quick. Would love to teach him to spin, and to back up.
Justin Imhoff lol he’s focused on the food.......a lot of it is his natural learning and I’ve marked the behaviour with the clicker, and helped him improve it to my liking I guess, I found the clicker really helpful, and patience is a huge key, I also didn’t spend lots of time training, by that I mean I did it in 15min windows and started on a trick he knows well(to start off positive) and ended on a trick he knows well(to finish on a positive note) rinse and repeat
@@elvismcc I know what you mean. Patience and rewarding are definitely key. Buddy responds well to treats too, but he just isn't as fast to respond, especially with the roll over, or play dead. Takes him ages to get there and he hasn't learnt to do it from a sit either. Your boy is so fast! It's inspiring.

Do you find the clicker was the biggest game changer ? Does the clicker help with speed of response and with weaning back the treats ? I normally mark with yes , once more comfortable i maintain trick with good and then release with ok but sometimes my staff gets really unmotivated .. any tips on getting better focus and engagement ?
Great conditioning of your steffie. Good focus from the dog, very food orientated. But why is the handler looking at the dog as if he's about to actually kill it?

ive had him 3yrs, they are pretty easy to train, i would suggest learning how to clicker train them, alot of people will give you advice on what you should and shouldnt be doing, but find what works for you and stick to it, i found if i did too much training it burnt Judge out, and i started with tricks he knew, and also finished with tricks he knew so it started positive and finished positive,
Now this is a properly trained staffy who truly loves and respects his owner. Hes a beauty and a credit to you mate.

The only way to kill a vicious staffy is with the patented double finger pistol. Those air rounds don't even over penetrate. 😂
