We just lost our beautiful fawn staffie girl at almost 13 years old. The vet that had to put her to sleep was crying just as much as my wife and I, it was the absolute worst day. That gorgeous girl has left a massive hole in our lives, and although I’ve always loved bigger bullmastiff type breeds, I think we will only have staffies for the rest of our lives. I loved watching this episode, I saw so many of our girls characteristics in all these dogs, their personalities are just amazing!
So sorry for your loss, I know the feeling, the hole they leave behind is just awful. I lost my Boxer who got ill really suddenly and although I love the breed, I don't think I could own another one, I don't want to replace my girl and they are not a very healthy breed anymore... but after a year we think it's time get another dog and we're leaning towards Staffies as although they are much smaller than what I'm used to, they seem to tick all of our boxes and just seem to have such beautiful characters.
We lost ours 5 years ago and I have her picture on my work desk. We adopted her as a two year old through the RSPCA and we were her third owners, but she never put a foot wrong and always knew how to behave in any situation. Gone but never forgotten.
I just had to put my Lexi down at 14 years. She looked exactly like the white staffy with brown spots. She was very intelligent loved to play rough but knew exactly when to go to soft play in the presence of a child. They love hanging from trees with their epic jaw strength 💪 RIP Lexi Lou you were the best I could have ever wished for 💙

Hi Anneka, great vlog on the Staffordshire Bull Terriers, they are the diamonds 💎 of the Brittish Breeds, they are also one of the most empathetic of all dog breeds towards humans in a distressed state, Kate Humble did a program on dog empathy for distressed humans, and guess what breed of dog. came out top, you guessed it the Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and they were the most empathetic of all the dog breeds towards distressed humans.😭 🐕🦺 , you guessed it, the Staffie by far.
That is so true. When my father died our dogs just knew and gave me so much empathy and comfort. They pick up on human emotions unlike any other breed.
Had them and Jack Russells my whole life there hearts are huge there scatter brains but extremely bright fantastic family dogs good with children there just a fantastic breed
We have had many highly trained hunting Labs over the years. In 2021 I rescued a one-year-old Lab/Staffy and i have been working with her daily since. My girl is super high energy and very loving but also very challenging for me at age 71. She is a smarty pants too. Our first year was a rough one due to my lack of experience with a rescue that spent her entire first year in a crate, in a kennel in a warehouse with 200+ other dogs. She is a natural athlete and would LOVE a course like this!
Great intelligent dogs! They are brave and respond to fear as a challenge and back down from nothing! I used to explore abandoned mines and my little black staffy went deep underground with me, had no fear! Very protective too!
Hi Gillian. Thankyou for your kind words. I'm also sorry to hear of your loss,it's heart breaking. I still feel the pain as she was the most intelligent loving dog that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I wish you a happy new year x
Absolutely love this breed especially when you get a true bloodline ect staffy! They're hilarious, smart, super athletic & with proper training, diet, exercise and a responsible owners/family make amazing dogs for competition, family ect. Have a female staffy as well as a male, plus a male/female American bully & a male boerboel.. the little female staffy runs the entire house LoL nothing is done, taken, eaten, played with ect unless she approves and when it's her nap time, play time, bathroom ect it's the same for rest of my fur babies LoL. Size definitely does not matter when it comes to these dogs, me my family & dog family really enjoy the breed.
Brought my mum her first staffie in early nineties, she had one till her death last year, she never looked back and gave her and me some of the fondest memories of our lives, a very loyal loving dog, even abused neglected kennel dogs will show this trait almost instantly, very good with kids, bitches to the extent of motherly, after all people from days of old had them to keep the baby warm and stop the child flipping over on the their face in cribs through the uniqueness of how a staffie tends to lie when resting and being give or take the same size as a baby/toddler...
I lost my 2 staffies during lockdown , they were 14yrs old and It broke my heart, just stunning superb dogs, great with kids, little pocket rockets is true. Now Ive 2 Rotties
I had an American Staffy no ordinary pup so smart so harmless he sadly passed away a few years ago my heart was truely broken my tears never stopped best mate ever in this life no one will ever replace him.
Now this is a proper and accurate video of staffs brought up in proper environment, loved and cared for. These dogs are loving and very caring, brought up in the correct environment
Staffies like it or not are a national treasure in my eyes. Their just so dam cute anc loyal their given a bad press by vile owners who should be uthinised instead of the dog. Dogs are like any animal including us your not born evil your taught to be . Staffies are just beautiful loving caring and deserve more respect. I'm pro staffie how can you not live a dog thats always smiling and loving on you ❤ 💕 💗
Lovely video, very true right to the point of how wonderful the Staffordshire bull terrier dogs are, loving, caring and a very loyal dog. Recommend this breed for anyone who loves dogs with young families, they do need walking and family company and lots of attention like any of us.
Wow!! a breed enthusiast actually telling the truth, most people who own dogs capable of doing damage always push bad press & being misunderstood - I had a staff for 13.5 yrs and he was awesome - like the trainer says, they generally won't go looking for a fight if trained well, but it's amazing how many other dogs start stuff with them & they always finish the fight then get the blame - i adored my staffy, but once he'd been attacked once or twice, he wouldn't take nonsense from any dog -- best dogs in the world but you need to be able to read a staffy's body language, then you'll be fine.
Staffy’s are arguably the smartest, most lovable, and people-oriented breed you will ever find… We’ve had a Staffy for 11 years (Roxy) and are getting another next week (Bougie) - These dogs can rationalize, pick up on human feelings/emotions, and are amazing with children. BL - The Staffy debunks the ridiculous pit bull stigma of vicious and aggressive.
Yes, everything you said is so true. All they want from life is to love and be loved. I've never known a breed like the Staffy, they will always have my heart.
I don't trust Malinois as far as I can throw them. They're just temperamental bite monsters. A real Staffy wouldn't bite a human. And that's a big difference. Edit: I should've said that real American pit bull wouldn't bite a human. Don't know about what's been done to them in the UK
Got a Labrastaff myself, American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador mix. Sweetest dog ever, she loves everyone and everything. Perhaps even too much :D It's sad how bad of a rep amstaffs, staffys and other "fighting dogs" have. They're such loving dogs that sadly just tend to get abused :(
I will never forget what Cesar the famous trainer says about dogs. There is not one negative behavior that isn’t the result of an irresponsible or uneducated owner. A truly loyal human will guide his dog through the darkness
Simply the best breed. Had many. As long as they are socialised from young and well exercised they aren't aggressive. However we did have a rescue one who had been mistreated. No amount of training, exercise or visits to dog Psychologists helped. He would go for anything no matter the size and not let go. I had to put my hand in his mouth to release his bite multiple times. Amazing around people but a complete menace around other dogs. He died of a heart tumour aged 6 and although we were heartbroken it was a kind of relief for him and us. I rescued an 11 year old complete black Staffordshire from a rescue 4 years ago. She was the most well trained dog I've ever come across. How she ended up on the streets ill never know. I walked her off leash all the time as she never went further than 2 metres away, whenever another dog came up to her she just stood still and looked at me as if to say "not this palaver again" and just waited until I told her to walk on or the dog lost interest. She had zero interest in other dogs. Just amazing temperament. I only had her 2 years when she died of a tumour on her spleen. Our other am staff /ridge back mix which we had from a puppy outlived them all and died at 17. She was spoilt rotten. My mrs taught her the best thing you can teach a dog which is to look somewhere else. Great when your eating and she was eyeing up your food. 😂😂😂 We lost all 3 dogs within 12 months of each other and can't bring ourselves to get another. It's still too painful years later.
Staffs are great dogs I grew up around them as a youngster.. Very friendly dogs that love abit of sillyness & play. I'd like to see u do an episode on The English bull terrier though. 🙂

Another ideal setting for them oddly enough is a gym. My last gym the owner had 2 and they were so loved he left them stay in the gym. The boy was a big whimp who's only purpose in life was to play tug with you, he was super friendly and loved a cuddle pre workout. The girl was very motherly, fussed you when you werent feeling your best, loved playing fetch but would get involved if you are playing tug with the boy. Perfect companions between weight lifting sets or coffee on the couch with them. Always looked forward to seeing them, never heard a growl they are the best dogs.
Staffies are the best dogs EVER they are perfect at everything they absolutely love kids they are powerful and "big" but small enough to be a lapdog and live in an apartment, intelligent courageous athletic and they do the most funny things 😂 I've had rotweiller, German shepherd, Jack Russell, border collie, English bullterrier, a mongrel and 4 stafs, the stafs are the best all around

We had to put him down due to kidney problems etc due to his medications for his on going bad skin conditions that were not treatable and medications were the only way. He lived with us for 4years and still cry bucket loads thinking of him.
love staffies they are one of the best dogs you can evr meet
Amazing...lovely dogs. Born for sport and training, but not born to fight. Humans are the monsters to train them fighting! This dogs are born to be loved by their owners, cause of their short spirit and power. I love all dogs, mostly big dogs from Swiss 👍🍀❤🍀🐾🐾🐾❤👍😊
@7Glockenblume7 👍da geb ich Dir völlig recht. Hunde sind mein Leben und meine wahren Freunde. Alles Liebe 😊🍀❤🇩🇪
It's what we all like to think but it's not true, you can't train a dog to fight, it's in the DNA.
This breed is amazing, I really didn't realize how energetic or how strong this breed is.
Mine is like a tank and clever
My Amstaff is like Hulk Hogan mixed with a dragon 🤣
Yep , they're the greatest of all the dog breeds !
they ARE JACKED
My first rescue was an SBT..She was perfect...Love you always Mo xxx
I've had 2 of them and they are excellent dogs. Bruiser was also one of the best Pheasant hunters I've ever seen, he was raised with my friends Lab's and Pointers. He was very smart and had more heart than you could ever imagine. ❤
I’m in love!! that little white staffy is absolutely gorgeous 😍
Real Staffordshire bull terriers my absolute favorite dog breed of all.. always wanted a proper one small compact and all muscle.. beautiful
Absolutely brilliant to see this....love all dog's but truly admire these breeds for all their characteristics
Amazing women and her wonderful staffies. Just lost mine in Dec. 22. Only 8 3/4 old. A rescue from California, found him in B.C.. Cheers from Canada.
Hulk and Marvel were two exceptional specimens...just beautiful..
Popular for a reason. Great dogs
What a lively, energetic, sweet-tempered, super breed. I really like the smaller ones, too; they’re cuter and more agile.
A male should not be over 40 lbs, unless is fat. If it's big as AmStaff then is not pure Staffy
@Memow-pk1ng i was thinking the same thing if it is bred to be like the dogs here anything else i assume would be mixed.
I lost my 2 staffies during lockdown , they were 14yrs old and It broke my heart, just stunning superb dogs, great with kids, little pocket rockets is true. Now Ive 2 Rotties
Even before she said he was raw fed I knew. Raw-fed dogs always look so in shape its crazy.
Kibble makes dogs fat, unhealthy and die prematurely, raw is the only way to feed, my boy is pure muscle
absolute beautiful breed, staffies are a kind and sweet family dog
I never knew that's their real size! thank you for the excellent video, I just fell in love with staffies 🙂🙂🙂
I had an American Staffy no ordinary pup so smart so harmless he sadly passed away a few years ago my heart was truely broken my tears never stopped best mate ever in this life no one will ever replace him.
My baby is half staff half english bull terrier. She is insanely intelligent, cool, fun, and just plain wonderful
Now this is a proper and accurate video of staffs brought up in proper environment, loved and cared for. These dogs are loving and very caring, brought up in the correct environment
Couldn't agree more!
Absolutely the best breed ever!!!
Love me staffys they’re absolutely phenomenal 💚💚💚
Wow!! a breed enthusiast actually telling the truth, most people who own dogs capable of doing damage always push bad press & being misunderstood - I had a staff for 13.5 yrs and he was awesome - like the trainer says, they generally won't go looking for a fight if trained well, but it's amazing how many other dogs start stuff with them & they always finish the fight then get the blame - i adored my staffy, but once he'd been attacked once or twice, he wouldn't take nonsense from any dog -- best dogs in the world but you need to be able to read a staffy's body language, then you'll be fine.
I like this breed.............they are cute
My Staffies eyes get me every time. So soulful
Worse part of owning a staffie is when there gone, had my Jesse put to sleep 16 months ago, miss her every day.
Omg i just these vids, this ladys love of all animals is SO amazing,i wish all people would could love like this
Staffy’s are arguably the smartest, most lovable, and people-oriented breed you will ever find… We’ve had a Staffy for 11 years (Roxy) and are getting another next week (Bougie) - These dogs can rationalize, pick up on human feelings/emotions, and are amazing with children. BL - The Staffy debunks the ridiculous pit bull stigma of vicious and aggressive.
Yes, everything you said is so true. All they want from life is to love and be loved. I've never known a breed like the Staffy, they will always have my heart.
@@gillianmoran3975 Arguably, the best breed in the world
Those two pulling the bicycle with Rachel are gorgeous dogs!❤❤
Love this breed have had a Stafford in my life on and off since 1962 . I will never have any other breed there in my blood.
The most loyal, loving, protective and intelligent. My Rocky is a lion trapped in the body of a staffy 😍
Belgian Malinois' & Staffys are my favourite breeds
I don't trust Malinois as far as I can throw them. They're just temperamental bite monsters. A real Staffy wouldn't bite a human. And that's a big difference.
Edit: I should've said that real American pit bull wouldn't bite a human. Don't know about what's been done to them in the UK
Best ❤breed ever I have had great with children so adorable ❤
Beautiful pups and examples of the breed.
Best dogs on the planet! Love my staffys
same to you wish you a great sunday stay wild and safe see you soon👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Had staffs for over 30 years brilliant wee dogs
I have a beauitful red brindle staffy she is 10 such a love bug
Got a Labrastaff myself, American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador mix. Sweetest dog ever, she loves everyone and everything. Perhaps even too much :D
It's sad how bad of a rep amstaffs, staffys and other "fighting dogs" have. They're such loving dogs that sadly just tend to get abused :(
it is never the dog just bad owners
@@lucdehertogh3555 Yes, in 99.9% of all cases.
I will never forget what Cesar the famous trainer says about dogs. There is not one negative behavior that isn’t the result of an irresponsible or uneducated owner. A truly loyal human will guide his dog through the darkness
It's because alot of trashy / gangsterwannabes buy staffies and similar dogs because they think they look dangerous.
@Soul of a robot not really. Both parents are purebreeds and it's a "recognised" mix
Lost.mineyears ago she was a rescue dog made it to ,13.5 yrs cancer got the poor thing ,still missed .what a character she was.and had such a great nature
My old Trampy loved zoomies. She was our 1st rescue staffie and my days could she run! We had her for 12 years before we lost her😢. As much as we'd love another staffie, I can bring myself to get another and its a year since we lost her. We miss her so much😢
One of my favorite breeds
Great Video GREAT BREED OF DOGS
Another ideal setting for them oddly enough is a gym. My last gym the owner had 2 and they were so loved he left them stay in the gym. The boy was a big whimp who's only purpose in life was to play tug with you, he was super friendly and loved a cuddle pre workout. The girl was very motherly, fussed you when you werent feeling your best, loved playing fetch but would get involved if you are playing tug with the boy. Perfect companions between weight lifting sets or coffee on the couch with them. Always looked forward to seeing them, never heard a growl they are the best dogs.
Absolutely the best dog breed in the world!
I truly enjoyed this episode! ❤️💯
The even earnt the nickname ‘ nanny dogs ‘ , says it all , love ‘em ❤
Ive had staffies since i was 5 years old, so 50 years and counting👍
They’re amazing characters
Absolutely incrediable!
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!
That little dog doing the sprinting was a speed demon!!❤❤❤
These dogs are amazing !!!!
