Optimus use to go by the name Orion pax , he use to be more of a speaker, after some time Megatron betrayed him and basically destroyed him. Orion pax was rebuilt to a new autobot, a autobot more designed to fight as a leader; Optimus Prime. This is how he came to be. the tank one litterely fought 3 auto bots that were strong enough to be the survivors that got to earth, as well as several soldiers with grenade launchers, bonecrusher got killed quickly as prime knew they had no defence against blades and used that to his advantage, blackout got shot by several fighter jets with powerful missiles as well as being hit critically in a weak spot by a very good soldier with a grenade launcher, this is just tf1, I can explain most other deception deaths in the other films as well
Bruh this has better CGI than almost the entire MCU and especially the DCEU. The action and special effects combined with the practical effects make this a classic
Not gonna lie, the F-22 scene, brief as it was, was really cool. I remember seeing this in theaters in high school. That part where the Transformer does a somersault after shooting the ground and the woman in the blue dress screams? The theater was DEAD silent. I dont think people understand just how jaw-dropping this CGI was (and the sound design) at the time.

I always liked the fact that the reason why the decepticons were so hard to kill was because their bodies where capable to transform into big armored or military vehicles unlike the autobots that only could transformed into civilian vehicles or a paramedic truck and make sense why the decepticons where so unstoppable. Too bad that in the upcoming movies avoided this idea and just show how a light sports car autobot beats the shit out of a giant armored or military air vehicle decepticon.

i don't know why, but the fight at 6:30 between F-22's and Starscream was one of my favourite things about the first movie and its final fight. Different battles happening at the same time with each having their benefits and losses where Decepticons aren't made from paper for the good guys to tear apart but were more smarter
It's also pretty scary to me. It seems like the air force pilots can barely tell which jet is starscream. The equal parts terror and adrenaline of squaring up against this hulking machine with your fellow pilots
One of the things that DEFINITELY helped with making this look so good and real were the bots interacting with the environment. Bone crusher smashing through the bus, going through buildings, and picking up cars and throwing them. Simple things that will happen in these kinda movies but adds so much to the immersion
That is actually one of the key things that I REALLY REALLY liked about the bay verse films, the Cons are skilled but the only reason they had as much success in the first movie as they did was because nobody understood them. If blackout tried to land on another base like he did in the beginning he would get his ass kick, and if there is a reason that starscream never tried to blend into any fighter formations for the rest of the series, they would have seen it coming this time.

They did my boy Starscream justice in this movie. He never had any lines, but his demeanor was the same from the cartoon. Starscream believes hes better suited to lead the Decepticons, not Megatron. Notice how he tried to get the all-spark, how he never interferes in the fight between Prime and Megatron, he has his own agenda to take over leadership and let megatron die.
Bonecrusher’s tfwiki page really sums him up good. He’s just a giant ball of hatred. He literally hates everything; Autobots, Decepticons, Megatron, even himself.
2:30 This whole shot, from the camera to Brawl, Jazz, and Rachet is so underrated. The highlight is Rachet with his buzz saw. He was always put in the background but did some amazing work here. I wish we got him doing a epic solo scene like Jazz or Ironhide or any of the autobots. I think more solo scenes for the later transformers would have won brownie points with the fans. Look how popular Sideswipe was.
3:47 Jazz was a real trooper here. He wasn’t afraid to face off a trained gladiator who was twice his size, just for the sake of buying time to ensure the civilians and his comrades got away safely. *He probably found a cool place to kick it in robot heaven…*
I didn't really care about Jazz's death but when ironhide died in the 3rd movie I had tears in my eyes and I almost started crying in the theater LOL. He was my favorite autobot.
I love how powerful the Decepticons were made in this film, it took 4 Autobots and a squad of heavily armed troopers just to defeat Brawl, meanwhile Optimus is barely able to hold off Megatron from pursuing Sam. Kinda a shame that never stuck in later movies aside from Bumblebee.

The fact that it's all complex robot transformations makes it even more valuable, we don't see this kind of CGI very often, it's not the same to see CGI shaceships or CGI locations like cities and so on to these movies. In fact, seems like Transformers was a big inspiration for several other movies with the same vibes, mostly alien invasion movies. At this point Michael Bay and the writers knew the audience was here to watch transformers so they want to see them transform. And they do so in epic ways with cool shots and creative angles. And they still look like actual moving parts rearranging. In the other movies they just transform in and out whenever they need to, and look like a folding jumbled mess that doesnt make any sense.

Optimus use to go by the name Orion pax , he use to be more of a speaker, after some time Megatron betrayed him and basically destroyed him.
The Transformers movies compensated the lack of good writting with amazing CGI as one of their most important aspects, there was a lot of passion on blending reality and fiction in these movies.

he was a major character originally
BRO FACTS tbh I loved that character as a kid growing up
@@serenju5451 I just really liked how small he was compared to other autobots and his design he was my favorite when the sexond movie came out I thought at first sideswipe was a revived jazz
im sentinel prime ...Jazzswipe?
But died like a true badass. Still my favourite autobot :D
I love all the ground/human level shots in the first movie, it really helps give you perspective how big they are
0:45 When I was little, I thought no humans died in Transformers movies...
Oh boy🤣 mind would’ve been blown when you found out lmao
Me actually
Especially in DotM
@@dangerdoggo-j6c yeah i forgot about those people that get vaporized.

I like how the decepticons all took hundreds of missiles and grenades before going down, in rise of the fallen it took 1 or 2 to send them to the dust
Angelo Dato because the weapons were more powerful and everyone was still somewhat recovering from the last battle
WHOYOUCALLIN PINHEAD actually no the weapons stay pretty consistent in the movies the tactics is what made the difference
Revenge of the Fallen*
Tactics and NEST’s upgraded Arsenals have them a fighting chance

One thing I noticed in this movie compared to the rest is that each transformation sequence is special. At this point Michael Bay and the writers knew the audience was here to watch transformers so they want to see them transform. And they do so in epic ways with cool shots and creative angles. And they still look like actual moving parts rearranging. In the other movies they just transform in and out whenever they need to, and look like a folding jumbled mess that doesnt make any sense.
thats what i hate so much movie names are called transformers we wanna see some transformers man its so much stupid human shit in all the movies and even when theres a big fight between transformers the humans seem to be the center of it
in the 4th movie they just got plain lazy with the transformations
Cullen's voicework gives the bridge battle against Crusher a vibe like an overzealous new recruit getting schooled by an old battle-hardened warrior and it's so awesome!
