2006-2010 were the beginning of the new age CGI era! Some of the best visual movies came in these years! Transformers, Spiderman 3, Ironman, Avatar, 300, Inception etc are some of the finest examples

I'm younger than most here. I was 4 (going on 5) when I first saw this movie in '07. This and Animated were my first introductions to Transformers. I hold this movie and Spider-Man 3 close to my heart, as they were two of the first movies I have memories of seeing in theaters, even if my opinions regarding them have shifted as I got older.
You're lucky to have been apart of movie history. Those movies were and are a last of their kind. I hope one day good stories like this are re introduced!

You're watching a hero that young boys looked up to come to life on the big screen and being voiced by the original voice-actor, Peter Cullen. Its like meeting an old friend once again after so long.
When they were on cybertron prime told Alita 1 im taking the kids to earth for the next ten yrs for a vacation from this barron waste land and the next thing you know they filed for divorce and the kids never saw their mama again that's why Alita 1 is not seen untill bumblebees movie the end

That's more of the writers fault not Bay. Also I'm pretty sure they were going for a more darker tone which means it's not as light hearted as the cartoons where everyone lives and doesn't die. So they actually took some risks.
If I had one dying wish it would be to see this movie again in the theater for the first time. As an 80’s kid with a lot of the toys and watching the cartoon, the sound effects, the transforming, the score. This movie is still the best thing I’ve ever seen in the theater.

The nicknames are simply translated to Earth’s english. This shows when they choose cars and paint jobs for themselves that match their names. They don’t necessarily *have* to look like that but it reflects themselves. Pay attention to how Optimus addresses the autobots. “This is my lieutenant. Designation: Jazz” “My weapons specialist, Ironhide.” “Our technician and medical officer, Ratchet” They probably have similar serial numbers like J-523, I-684, R-149, or something. They speak our english with traits of their own formal linguistics. A piece of technology would have a “designation”, but for humans we just say “it’s their name” For instance, “We call him JJ” The nicknames for the transformers serve the same purpose as ours. They always referred to Megatron as “Megatron”, not as “M-serial number” I’m sure he has one but Megatron is just easier to say.

The first film was probably the best really because of it originality, and shock of amazement in 2007 at how good computer cgi could be. 2007 a time where cgi was still difficult for a lot of movie makers. Even the 2008 creation of Iron Man had to use a physical suit to use for the film. To see Transformers and see all their parts rearrange from a truck to a robot was truly amazing. By the time we got the 2nd one the wow factor was still there, but by the 3rd film CGI had already improved in most films and it was the story people were more interested in afterwards.

Fun fact is that Optimus’s character model was such a huge file it has to stored on several different hard drives. When this movie came out it was one of the biggest technical marvels of all time. Because of how well the studio was able to create moving/shifting metal is what gave Marvel the gusto to make an Ironman movie because before this metal was super hard to CGI

At the minute mark, I heard the voice of a friend I haven't heard since I was 10. Peter Cullen's Optimus Prime is like that neighbor who used to tell you War Stories when you were a kid and even helped you play war who moved away for a few years and then when he returned he was just as cool as you remembered him.

If I had one dying wish it would be to see this movie again in the theater for the first time. As an 80’s kid with a lot of the toys and watching the cartoon, the sound effects, the transforming, the score. This movie is still the best thing I’ve ever seen in the theater.

@@t-7777 They all have established nicknames between each other in their original language but those numbers are their formal names/serial numbers. The nicknames are simply translated to Earth’s english. This shows when they choose cars and paint jobs for themselves that match their names. They don’t necessarily *have* to look like that but it reflects themselves. Pay attention to how Optimus addresses the autobots.
“This is my lieutenant.
Designation: Jazz”
“My weapons specialist, Ironhide.”
“Our technician and medical officer, Ratchet”
They probably have similar serial numbers like J-523, I-684, R-149, or something.
They speak our english with traits of their own formal linguistics.
A piece of technology would have a “designation”, but for humans we just say “it’s their name”
For instance, “We call him JJ”
The nicknames for the transformers serve the same purpose as ours.
They always referred to Megatron as “Megatron”, not as “M-serial number”
I’m sure he has one but Megatron is just easier to say.

The first film was probably the best really because of it originality, and shock of amazement in 2007 at how good computer cgi could be. 2007 a time where cgi was still difficult for a lot of movie makers. Even the 2008 creation of Iron Man had to use a physical suit to use for the film. To see Transformers and see all their parts rearrange from a truck to a robot was truly amazing. By the time we got the 2nd one the wow factor was still there, but by the 3rd film CGI had already improved in most films and it was the story people were more interested in afterwards.
I still remember how blown away I was watching Optimus transform in the theaters

Fun fact is that Optimus’s character model was such a huge file it has to stored on several different hard drives. When this movie came out it was one of the biggest technical marvels of all time. Because of how well the studio was able to create moving/shifting metal is what gave Marvel the gusto to make an Ironman movie because before this metal was super hard to CGI

Peter Cullen's Optimus Prime is like that neighbor who used to tell you War Stories when you were a kid and even helped you play war who moved away for a few years and then when he returned he was just as cool as you remembered him.
