Thank you so much for this, it's the first walkthrough that's helped me set things up! I'm having trouble getting dolphin to recognize my switch pro controller though. I've tried every option I know in the controllers tab, and while it appears to recognize it when it's paired, the controller isn't working once retro rewind is booted up. If I set the GameCube controller settings on the controller and leave the emulated wii remote's settings on mouse and keypad I can still click through the game by mouse, but when I change both settings to my controller nothing works and I can't progress past the opening title page. Any ideas, or do you know if the switch pro controller just won't work with dolphin?
back when I used a switch pro con with my PC I remembering having tons of issues too. not 100% sure how I fixed it tbh (although I do remember using it wired for some reason), but I'm glad you were able to get dolphin running at least.
When I download my GameCube game for my wad in my paths it does not show, BTW my file is ciso, and when I did it before it worked why is it not downloading? it's peculiar.
is 'ciso' a typo, or did you mean 'iso'? also gamecube backups should be ISO files, not WADs. WADs are used for virtual console games and the like which are used through the wii menu.
Hello, great video but I have 1 issue. I can't seem to get the standard Mario Kart Wii into dolphin. I don't even know if I have it. Do you have a solution for this? Please let me know if you need a better explanation. Thank you!
Does anyone know if you do this after playing a bunch of games on it and it resets all ur files if there is a way to get back all of the game saves u had. cos if done is and it reset all of my games and I dont know if I can get them back. Thank you
@@mallowwallowfire yeah it's really annoying how windows hides extensions 99% of the time without people changing their settings, glad you managed to figure it out
using the stock windows 11 one though. explorer patcher as well but I don't think I ad that when I made this vid: th-cam.com/video/22NeuWJQOa0/w-d-xo.html
When I try to open dolphin, I get an error that says, “The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this issue.” I have tried reinstalling at that doesn’t fix anything. Any clue what is going wrong?
You probably gotta get like the hardware id something another from your actual wii onto Dolphin’s Wii system files. I believe could do this by importing a NAND backup of your Wii into Dolphin. Search online for more info!
If you put the motion sensor to above TV the mouse is synced up far better
