DF didn´t get the same amount of praise that this expac has gotten in it´s first couple of days. Of course all expacs are going to loose retention but at least this one brings something new to the game instead of just a new flying system with mediocre zones and a new UI like DF did.
@@Lil_Harvard I was very much impressed with DF. I don't understand why everyone is saying WW is better. DF introduced all the mechanics that revamped retail, which made me enjoy the expansion that much more. The warband was a great addition, but are ther any other features I'm missing that makes WW so good? No spoilers please, I'm still in the first area.
@@Zantsmith the whole robotic dwarf thing has 0% of my interest. I'm hoping the Nerubians have a better storyline to go off of. Xalatath has been interesting so far, but I looking forward to playing more tonight. Also not a fan of a lot of the new spec trees. Some just look boring. @@Aysentaroin what world? Subs are up? The game had amazing changes? Yes the story was a mess but it seems like they took the best features that worked, polished it and seems like they put a good story together with it (so far MSQ was good!) So… if the TWW is good that means DF did the base for it.
I've been mostly playing classic the last couple years, but recently I've switched back to retail to focus on that. Classic is great for what it is, but I've come to realize I'm more of a solo player nowadays and retail just satisfies that for me more.
I did get burnt out on Hardcore, but still enjoy Classic every now and then. I find it's given me a greater appreciation for some of the QoL changes in retail.
Classic is great but, it gets old rather quick as there is no new content. You can only do the same raids so many times especially how easy raids are in Classic. All you really have left is pvp and even that can get old... I hope the classic servers always stay up as its great to go back to now and then but, It's not something I can play constantly. I've played every expansion since vanilla and Ive always enjoyed parts of retail. Sure some expansions/changes are a let down but, I love collecting mounts, transmogs, & achievements. I have characters that I played on when I was still in High School and it's crazy to look back on moments playing the game through all the years. It is a very comforting game for me. I think the last 2 expansions have been pretty good. I wont say they are anywhere near amazing or perfect but, its small steps in the right direction for many aspects of the game.
What is it that retail offers a solo player? AI like interaction with other players for group content? Lists of achievements to pick off? Because the whole active gameplay is dumb imo, theres no thought behind gearing. The only edge to gameplay is if you would take on 5x too many mobs at once...
I"m too old to wait 1.5 years for a cycle. 6 months but change it up each time. make tbc and wotlk from azeroths perspective. no outlands or northrend.
@@ArticulateArena no that would be classic +. Most people who want era or cycle servers do not want changes or speed ups. 14-16 months is perfect to level, gear, see raids, pvp etc for each x-pack
@@NickPlays95what is the point of having it cycle? If they are going to do that, they might as well just do server resets after a certain amount of time. That way everyone goes back to the beginning. Or they can just close the server and give all the toons a free transfer to a new vanilla server. But if that’s the case, leveling and content releases should be sped up, so that the majority of players have a chance to do it before things reset.
@@deenman23 Classic is great to go back to for the nostalgia but it gets old eventually with no new content. Classic isnt perfect either. However, the last 2 expansions have been pretty good overall. Sometimes I'm not a fan of the class changes but I get over it because I can find other things in the game I do enjoy.
@@ivanthespacebiker5390 the game hasn't changed much though. sure, the story line may be good.... but, leveling sucks, dungeons are 20-minute sprint fests, pay2win is absurd as it's ever been... Except it consistently has been different since the game imploded in 9.2. They've killed all the sacred cows and the entire gameplay loop for non-instance content feels different. Gearing is fast and deterministic, so you can actually play different specs at endgame without burning yourself out. Nobody knows this, because they don't play the game and want to complain about it anyway.
@@OffTheSpot22 Yet the in-game shop is as big as ever, leveling is trashy as ever, dungeons are a 20-mintue sprint fest, itemization is boring as ever, and they killed the idea of a launch with pay2win early access. Retail wow isn't a shadow of its former self.
@@Ryan_hey1. Leveling was never fun. 2. Cash shop is as big as ever? Pulling that right out of your ass, it hasn’t changed at all since warlords of draenor. 3. I vividly remember people sitting in dungeons for 12 hours at a time just spamming them in 10 minute intervals to speed level back in late vanilla. 4. Itemization is as boring as ever? I feel like the early access thing they did with this expac split the community a bit; plus they also just announced that they will be nerfing the leveling experience, and it just so happens to be right after the early access ended 🤔🤔
they are nerfing it with the reset, also its not a big deal, the scaling was insane,1 shoting mobs as a healer is a bit much dont you think>?and you dont even need to be mythic geared, just a few echo 480 pieces and your a god for a few levels
the early access was an incredible mistake. destroying the sacred concept of a launch was a bad move. it actually made me skip on buying. players trying to defend it like it's no big change is absurd.
I'm 37. Played warcraft games since I was 10 or so. I'm just trying to come back since season 1 of df. Between the systems, talents, proffs, overbloated spells... I don't even know what to do. Why is it so convoluted still
I see how it can be overwhelming but honestly the more you play the easier it gets. Anytime I take an extended break I feel that way too but once I start running some dungeons and using LFR I start to get the hang of it again. Once I feel comfortable I can move on to more difficult content. There is no doubt a lot going but just keep at it and you will at some point not feel overwhelmed anymore.
what do you mean lmaoo, wow has one of the most boring and simple end game loops out there. its just raiding, pvp, or mythic dungeons. you can collect stuff too
wow doesnt need chances, its been amazing since DF,there have been 10 expansions, only 3 had issues, wod because there wasnt much content, but what we got was top tier and the ap and rng BS of legion/bfa
@@darkduprey4079 Sure, there are changes. But so many of the main grievances are unaddressed; therefore, much of the underlying game is the same. They won't attempt any of those changes until classic players drop-off. Give it a few more years and once the trilogy gets old from constant replay, it'll happen.
This is what everyone says then months later they were get a video of where the expansion Went wrong and why it failed. Legit every single time .. will be the same with this. Content creators just milking content at this point
Its pretty bad atm. Mediocre dungons, and 2 very, very shitty dungoens. This expansion is the expansion of girl power and DEI, which is understandable. But at least they could had made good dungeons :((
Something I've been kind of confused about, did people really quit wow over the story? I personally left because come Shadowlands, I kind of got burnt out on the repetitive gameplay loops, the infinite grinds they put in, and the class design which really hadn't changed for the majority of specs since Legion. As someone who caps and tries out every spec in the game, when there's so little new, it really makes it hard to get excited. I really feel like, WoW's writing and story telling has always been kind of ignored. We had the big key moment cutscenes like the death of Arthas and the Wrathgate, etc, but generally I feel even in Classic, people mashed through all dialogue as quickly as possible to go back to hitting things, and I really don't feel that changed at any point going forward. I'm happy they're putting more focus into the story, but to me it just feels like, none of the reasons for why I originally left the game are being addressed still, but hey, they're offering improvements to a side element I didn't care about in the first place to convince me to come back? Like, they could've sold The War Within as a major overhaul to Pet battles, and made it a revolutionary new system, but... that's not why I played the game in the first place, so why should I care if it was changed? To pivot to FFXIV for a sec since that's my main MMO, I kind of got the same vibe. People didn't enjoy the new Dawntrail MSQ, and said they were quitting over it, but to me it felt really silly. I didn't like the Story either, but it takes a few days to do it, and then you have 3 years of an MMO to play, so does it really matter at all...? Idk. It feels like such a weird pillar to form all your opinion of an MMO around.
70% is raiding and doing general content in pug isn't fun, the other 30% is I don't vibe with the cartoon style and type of story the game has now. Last time I played was in bfa 8.2 I think
not solely, but yeah it is a big turn-off for me i'm horde to death fan, yet i played most MoP, even raided Garrosh and got him on HC on my alt, why? class gameplay was the most solid in MoP era (even better than DF), i did a lot of arena and pvp too so while story isn't sole reason, but story for me is big factor, i played SL 3 months and was 100% sure i'll return later, then came each patch with even worse story, then came Arthas frag story and it was done for me, duck SL while i did enjoy a lot of class gameplay in SL, the fact that SL story can be summarized as a big middle finger to wrath - the best time ever in my life - was enough for me to never sub again during SL
There are few people who don't pay attention to the story *at all*. While you are right that the majority of people don't go and carefully read every dialogue, the majority know more or less what's going on, who are the important characters and what they are up to. It's still at it's core an RPG. If you really don't care to the point that you have no idea what's going on at all, you are in fact in the minority. And I have an hard time believing it really doesn't matter to you at all. If you tell me you are playing WoW and don't even care about the atmosphere I'm not sure I'd trust you on that. Being in the middle of an epic war or just hitting a bunch of useless boars does not give you the same feelings even if you are not heavily into the story. I just don't buy it lol
@@darkduprey4079 I'll take the L on saying this, but with how WoW generally has portrayed large scale conflicts such as the battle for Darkshore in BFA, Yes. I don't feel there's a meaningful difference between that and killing boars. Go to location, kill X thing, fill a bar, or pick X things up. But instead of randomly wandering beasts, now its npcs standing in place hitting each other with pool noodles where no ones Hp even moves. I feel WoW has always struggled with getting me to buy into the idea of "War" because it just feels like shallow set dressing to me. I also don't feel I said that people don't pay attention at all, what I was trying to get across was that I feel most people really don't care/ don't get invested enough that the fact Shadowlands had a shallow story, all else equal would've been the reason they left, and I still feel that way. I think that its easy to point at the jailor as everything wrong with shadowlands, but that's not true. The systems of the game were bad, - Blizzard wasn't listening to the community and what we wanted, - the legendary grind actively forced players to do content they didn't want to in order to chase power, - the grinds were designed to literally waste as much player time as possible, - the covenant system was dogshit and a massive hurdle for people getting to just enjoy their character to the fullest, - this is the same time all the allegations of sexual abuse and weird shit going on in blizzard was happening, -a lot of content creators were looking elsewhere, drawing a lot of attention away from WoW to explore other games. So my point is just, to say the core issue that people had with shadowlands came down to the writing feels actually insane to me when there was such a mountain of other issues going on, and no one was happy at, or with Blizzard at the time.
If Chris Metzen has to verbally communicate in an interview that TWW was completed prior to his arrival 3 weeks before launch…..that’s a massive tell sign. It means he doesn’t want his reputation tarnished. We aren’t going to see any input from Chris Metzen until the next expansion. Also, this is the first expansion Blizzard is handing out free 1 day trials to try an expansion. That has never happened before.
I've tried looking all over the blizzard website and the battlenet app and I don't see anything about a 1 day trial. My account also doesn't own TWW. Where did you hear that? Also, Metzen didn't say TWW was "completed". He said that they had the sketch of what the expansion will be, not that it was done. He specifically said he's the one responsible for bringing Thrall and Jaina back.

Or maybe he is just stating that because.. It's the truth? If the guy arrived one month ago then that's how it is. There is no such thing as a "one day trial to try the expansion". Your friend probably confused it for something else or lied because it's definitelly not a thing.
Except it clearly is different. They abandoned the formula they had going from Legion to Shadowlands, which people hated, starting with Dragonflight. Change my mind. Modern WoW uses mythic and arena players to sell WoW token carries to mobile gamers who don't want to play a MMO, but want to feel special walking around an increasingly vacant town. It's not a MMO. It's a sweatshop that now has tier classes in it's failing society to further exploit people like early acesss. You either pay to win or you lose your life. The only winning move is not to play and the only way to sucker people into still being exploited is influencers who are now as bad as game journalists with twitch drops and monetized opinions.
i am now 22 years old, started classic when it launched, i originally started in MOP on a free trial as a little guy, not having a sub untill the patch before the pre patch for legion. I played BFA hard during season 2, then switched to classic. I now have the title The Bloodthirsty, with 289k kills on my ret pally and 312k in total. I havent played cata in 2 weeks now, i have been fully focused on The War Within, am 583 ilvl on my main as of today with 2 million more gold than i had before, along with 5 extra characters compared to my Two on classic. (i bought ea as im homebound let me be, also very first xpac ive ever bought for launch) I've had more fun just playing Retail rather than do half of the content provided in classic. (PVP) WoW TWW is the modern MMO, classic has just become a nostalgic minmax fest of players seeking that closure, not all of us by no means, but its gotta be a good majority. I join a BG on retail, i dont ever see these players again, i join a bg on cataclysm, i see the same players untill i get off. You join a random skirmish or even 2s/solo shuffle, you see every single class in the game almost on an even basis, you join an arena on cataclysm, its the same comp 25 games out of 50. It just doesn't feel like World of Warcraft anymore. I cannot speak for PvE content side of things, but i do know the raids arent new, they have been cleared by thousands if not hundreds of thousands of players in the past across OG cataclysm and the countless private servers. Where is the triumph? I don't understand it being in my pov. I can't imagine the two massive pieces of content (PVP and PVE related things aka battlegrounds, raids.) having only these factors to consider, is going to keep players around.
I'm a retail player. I'm a Wllie fan since "Was it any good" series. I'd really like some retail content maybe once a month or at least once for patch. It wil be easier to make the full transition once Midnight drops xD
You're cooked dude. i see they spent their 3 day early pay piggy access money on all you streamers that haven't played in years to come back and shill it. this expac had 300k viewers max on twitch and that's only because asmon was playing and people can't resist making a few extra bucks so they streamed during drops. retail is dog
I'm not an OG player (I did play briefly just before TBC dropped but then I went AWOL for a while), but I've been playing since Cata...if not regularly since then...and it's honestly the most fun I've had playing at the start of an expac...maybe ever. I usually play for maybe 2/3 days then think "Yeah, I'll give it a week or so and come back" but I actually *want* to play daily for fun
a tip, read all quests in this expansion. The lore is really good here. I think this expansion will be one of the best ones since TBC : ) Happy hunting.
Sorry, man. I don't think Retail will ever be what it was, even if the fake numbers show the highest count of players ever. Blizzard has lost trust from players year after year since WoD. It's also a pay-to-win game now. Want ATOC? Pay for it with gold that you bought a token for. Want Glad? Pay for it with gold that you bought a token for. Want a leg up on the player base? Pay for early access. I wonder how much they paid you for that intro. 😂
Classic is the same way in terms of pay to win though. Nobody does dungeons past Stocks. You either have to wait all day to find a group or you just suck it up and buy runs. Retail is a little different because there is much more to do end game. So I don't disagree with you but Classic was ruined by the players. Every thing is GDKP and paid boosting. People suck....
@@MistaSparkyy I'd say the boosters are a small majority of Classic players. Classic is 75% leveling, so why would you pay to ruin that experience? Logically, it doesn't make sense, especially considering endgame isn't going anywhere and will never change. The entire point of what I was stating originally is Retail WoW is just a worst version of WoW. Making it more and more casual friendly won't change the fact that it's another subpar expansion.
Blizzard also introduced more solo content because of the toxicity of the community. A lot of players don’t want to group up because of people leaving mid run, shit talking, kicking people from groups, etc etc
Like many others ive been playing wow all my life and i have to say im really happy with this expac so far. And i thought DF was also pretty good, its nice that blizz is actually pumping out some good stuff, and im happy others are enjoying this new expac like i am, cause so far i do think it deserves the praise that its getting

Only problem I have with the war within is that I have so much progress on classic, and Im really excited for mop so Im probably gonna stick with classic, love having all my gold transmog achives etc.
I don't believe I could ever go back to retail, and it's not necessarily Blizzard's fault. My experience with looking for a guild is that everyone requires gear and knowledge, so it's impossible to join a guild in which I just need to learn in practice what I've learned on TH-cam and get a bit of gear to not be a fifth wheel.
Of all things you don't want to play retail because of the combat system? The ONE thing where the game is thousands of times better than Classic? Lol, okay
I would like to sincerely thank you, WillE for being honest about the pre-release thing. It will hurt some people no matter what everyone who got the early access promises you. Particularly those that need it the most. Let me explain: There's a fair amount of wow players waiting for their hearing on disability, unemployed or otherwise in a financially vulnerable situation. The WoW token has been a great bonus for them because it allows them to convert their ability to play the game into playing it for free. But, the early launch means that if they cant get the early access edition, they are going to be behind the other people in gold making- crafting is basically a no-go since someone is already maxed level with a full week of profession knowledge before you could sneak in 14 hours before reset. And gathering? behind there too, and prices may behave a little outside the ordinary towards the cheaper side. All of this affects the launch for those people, which the first two weeks is a prime time to stock up on a big nest egg. Its a literal rich get richer scenario. But everyone who could afford it swears that "it totally doesnt matter." Strange how that works.
If you only listen to the catch phrase "It's finally good!" then yes. But if you do dig a little deeper there are in fact new features that are objectively promissing.
No they didn’t. People didn’t like BFA right out the gate. Shadowlands had people in Beta saying the systems were bad. The only real expansion that was like that was WOD because the first month was awesome. A good leveling story, new treasures added to the game, and player housing!… then the rose tinted glasses came off and realized the end game sucked. Garrisons were a boring phone game.
Whats crazy is that FF14 is going through its worst period with Dawntrail. (Speaking as a long time player of both games). Ff14 devs are ignoring the community, boring systems, repetitive game design, awful quest design and most importantly, its worst story. You actually have a few ff14 streamers like zepla and pyro coming back to wow. How the turn tables 😂
This xpac is advertised as a story reset, and the msq being great. Well, just finished and it 80. The msq sucks. The writing is god awful and is more or less DF 2.0. Basically blizzard only writes two characters now, weak dude who is emotionally distraught, and a chick who has the character depth equal to water left on the counter. Side quests are great like usual, but that main story is laughable. Xal is the smoke monster from lost in this first xpac. Gameplay is good, zones are great, and I’ll keep playing. But anyone saying the MSQ is good is either high on copium, or paid by blizz.
Alright, trying to be fair here. For me SL story tanked NOT because of the campaign story, that was quite good. It fumbled because of how the story and systems were handled after the campaign was complete. Loss of player agency through covenant lockouts, NPC mains losing their agency (Tyrande, Anduin, Sylvanas), and a final plot payoff so weak it's still a meme today. But the SL campaign story of the 4 covenants were quite good in my opinion. Contrast this with TWW. I don't want to go into spoilers, but if you are expected to be at the edge of your seat playing through the campaign, you are going to be quite disappointed; it was a watched pot that never boiled, not even any bubbles. Not to mention, the same old tired tropes and situations trotted out again. Main characters peace out for stupid reasons? ✅. Have to rally a completely foreign faction onto your alliance to extract yourself from calamity? ✅. Guilt ridden over events you had no control over? ✅ Tyrande 2.0? ✅. Unexplained overpowered new baddie? ✅. Supposedly smart characters making dumb decisions? ✅. Spontaneous plot resolutions with no player (or NPC) causation? ✅. Centuries (Millenniums?) old relational problems resolved in seconds? ✅. Characters thinking they can resolve everything themselves and then making the situations unbelievably worse? ✅. Where SL story excelled, TWW is just terrible. If you liked it, happy for you. But if you came back for a good story, better buckle up because it's going to be a very, very, very slow burn. And if you are into horde story person, I feel especially sorry for you. Bad story is at least better than no story.
After SoD I went back to OSRS. I wasn't even going to risk the new expansion after SoD. Classic remake turned me into a Classic Andy but I can't play there. To much filth.
I lost interest in retail after Legion. I played Classic for a couple years before losing interest in it as well. I have absolutely no interest in the new trilogy what so ever. At this point I'm waiting for Classic + before I renew any subs.
Early access has been a little disappointing, just because there have been main line quests that have been bugged that interrupted my limited play time. Overall, though, I've enjoyed all the new stuff - the delves, the story line, and the visuals. I've even enjoyed the reworked classes - while Shadow Priest isn't terribly changed since Dragon Flight, I didn't play DF so it's all new to me. 🙂 I've even turned the music back on - it's much better than I remember, and very thematic. Once the game is debugged I think it'll be a pretty good experience for new folks and returning players.
Few years ago i would bixch about game being easy and casual, there is no challange in leveling, etc. Now as father of Young fella with very limited time to play i just need dumbed down and easy content after long day of work and childcaring. I want to jump in do leveling/dungeons ,logoff while also still having feeling i made a progress in game.
I want to join a friend on war within but i'm affraid that's ONLY a end-game game, as a wow classic hardcore player who like to level up with people and meet them.
Blizzard will only care about the ratings, not the customer. Started in classic, quit in legion, came back in dragonflight, bought the war within was super hyped. I enjoyed the story, release was fine, a few bugs here n there. But once I started grinding renown n trying to level professions the real problems started, first it was phasing issues made skinning a hassle, then AH issues, the losing thousands of gold on crafting order bugs, then not getting any artisan's acuity for any first crafts or treasures for leatherworking. Submitted bugs, filled out a ticket, and blizzards response was ("this is not a known issue, therefore we are unable to help further") so ya I've unsubed. Who wouldn't, after u waste so much time n money on a game just to be ignored as a consumer. I think this situation is evidence that blizzard will only care about the ratings not the customer.
Did blizzard provide the script for these videos? All of the wow content creators have dropped almost identical videos the last 2 days... What's the real talk though? Is this game actually good, is it worth coming back? I returned to retail for first time in a decade for Dragonflight and it was definitely fun but nothing revolutionary. Is TWW actually an improvement? Its easy to dump on DFs story but to be fair all of WoW has suffered from very juvenile story telling although all this hype is making TWW seem like great art. Would be nice to see a review that isn't suspiciously like a paid advert.
The story is literally just like all wow stories from SL onwards. It’s terrible. Instead of the main characters being dynamic, they are one dimensional and rewrites of the DF characters. Doesn’t matter to most, but I’d love to have relatable male characters again since I am a dude. I’m all for women getting their time in the sun, but after dragon flight, all characters, especially the dudes, just whine and cry and think life is so hard. That aside. Side quests are great, but to me they always have been better than the MSQ. Gameplay is fun. Visuals great Sound is great. Do not come back for the story because it’s just plain simpleton level of creativity.
@@fredrick1176 hey yeh I always thought the side quests were better generally. Also agree about characters and its not like the women are any more interesting or compelling either it is all standard fantasy genre stuff. My concern is all of the hype is centered around the story but that's not a good advert for me because the story of wow has always been laughable for the most part. What is interesting is the game itself so I want to know whether that is solid or not. DF I thought was pretty good and some of the soundtrack was great so maybe I just need to resub and try TWW for myself.

Idk, leveling experience so far has been abysmal. Every singe little camp has 2 quests for the same area. One is "kill X monsters", the second is "click on X interactables". And you get obligatory turret segment every couple camps. As for story, I stopped reading it around level 74. Everything is the same as well: "I have this big duty. Oh nooo, I failed my duty/friends/whatever. You need to play a psychologist by clicking on some flavor text [no matter what option you chose]. Oh, right! I can't give up! If the combat was not so mind numbing at least. Yes, I know in classic, there are basically just these two quests as well, but at least I have to think about the combat a bit. Here, I just nosedive the camp, AoE it, mount up, nosedive another camp... At this point, just give us template characters on max level and spawn M+ queue NPC right in front of us and that's it.

It has its charm from time to time
Classic is great but, it gets old rather quick as there is no new content.
Then just play wukong. At least your money won't be supporting an evil company.
What is it that retail offers a solo player? AI like interaction with other players for group content? Lists of achievements to pick off?
Because the whole active gameplay is dumb imo, theres no thought behind gearing.
The only edge to gameplay is if you would take on 5x too many mobs at once...
Classic needs a vanilla - tbc - wrath server that cycles. 14-16 months on each would be perfect

Tl;dr Yeah, I quit because of the story and general vibes mid Dragonflight. Enjoying TWW a lot now.
70% is raiding and doing general content in pug isn't fun, the other 30% is I don't vibe with the cartoon style and type of story the game has now.
Last time I played was in bfa 8.2 I think
not solely, but yeah it is a big turn-off for me
i'm horde to death fan, yet i played most MoP, even raided Garrosh and got him on HC on my alt, why? class gameplay was the most solid in MoP era (even better than DF), i did a lot of arena and pvp too
so while story isn't sole reason, but story for me is big factor, i played SL 3 months and was 100% sure i'll return later, then came each patch with even worse story, then came Arthas frag story and it was done for me, duck SL
while i did enjoy a lot of class gameplay in SL, the fact that SL story can be summarized as a big middle finger to wrath - the best time ever in my life - was enough for me to never sub again during SL
The systems of the game were bad,
- Blizzard wasn't listening to the community and what we wanted,
- the legendary grind actively forced players to do content they didn't want to in order to chase power,
- the grinds were designed to literally waste as much player time as possible,
- the covenant system was dogshit and a massive hurdle for people getting to just enjoy their character to the fullest,
- this is the same time all the allegations of sexual abuse and weird shit going on in blizzard was happening,
-a lot of content creators were looking elsewhere, drawing a lot of attention away from WoW to explore other games.
@@Koby5649bro endgame in classic is just card swipe with gdkps. SR raids are scuffed most of the time and the good ones have longterm players.
Blizzard also introduced more solo content because of the toxicity of the community. A lot of players don’t want to group up because of people leaving mid run, shit talking, kicking people from groups, etc etc
This is going to age like milk lol
They went kind of heavy on the time gating. It seems like they are trying to create artificial engagement.
The story has been told. Now, the wait season begins.
Like many others ive been playing wow all my life and i have to say im really happy with this expac so far. And i thought DF was also pretty good, its nice that blizz is actually pumping out some good stuff, and im happy others are enjoying this new expac like i am, cause so far i do think it deserves the praise that its getting
Ive been playing classic only since it came out. I gotta say though this expac is very intriguing so im definitely gonna check it out. Only problem I have with the war within is that I have so much progress on classic, and Im really excited for mop so Im probably gonna stick with classic, love having all my gold transmog achives etc.
It's going to be the same for me as I won't be buying it and will stay safe in classic for now
I don't believe I could ever go back to retail, and it's not necessarily Blizzard's fault. My experience with looking for a guild is that everyone requires gear and knowledge, so it's impossible to join a guild in which I just need to learn in practice what I've learned on TH-cam and get a bit of gear to not be a fifth wheel.
I have high hopes...so far I'm really enjoying it 😊
wow classic getting some attention…ohman that would be a dream. A real Classic+
how much is blizz paying you for this little gem?
It's pretty good so far. Season 1 looks like it's gonna be hell though. At least for Mythic+. I hope delves can save pve for me.
Press “x” to doubt.
I would love to try retail but the bad-fast-meanigless combat system tells me no-no
Of all things you don't want to play retail because of the combat system?
The ONE thing where the game is thousands of times better than Classic?
Lol, okay
No this time it will be the same shit and be utter shit
Same as every expac for dead garbage retail 😂
I would like to sincerely thank you, WillE for being honest about the pre-release thing. It will hurt some people no matter what everyone who got the early access promises you. Particularly those that need it the most. Let me explain:
There's a fair amount of wow players waiting for their hearing on disability, unemployed or otherwise in a financially vulnerable situation.
"This time will be so different" Its almost like ive heard that multiple times before.
That's what they always say. Every time.
How the turn tables 😂
that was a funny subscribe plug on the talents 😆
It feels great so far, but that early launch thing was so sour. An expansion launch used to be so special, but now they've ruined it.
It wont be different.
Wow there's so many solo features, now I can play my massively multi-player game completely alone and not interact with anyone else!
At this point I'm waiting for Classic + before I renew any subs.
i'm liking tww at the moment, it feels cozy, i'm just 'normal playing' and almost 80 already
Once the game is debugged I think it'll be a pretty good experience for new folks and returning players.
there was no bug, they werent suposed to work in EA,but for some reason you could still pick em up,it felt confusing but intended
This comment section is full of some of the saltiest shut-ins ive seen in awhile.
I love seeing all the retail andys get excited about a new expansion when I know it will suck
Visuals great
Sound is great.
Ok the dragon riding is pretty dope.
holy shit.... even wille likes it....
DF release - 800k viewers
TWW release -300 k viewers (remember, community was split aswell due to early access)
Leveling now nerfed, for people who didn’t buy early access. Yeah no, thank you. Not supporting predatory practices.
And you forgot you cant die,you can pull fckn rare with all the trash during daily quests and cant die, your mana wont go below 87% yeah nice
I wonder when they start a world of warcraft 2 and not expansion on expansion.
Insert generic “ the snore within “ comment here 💤
Classic ended for me at tbc :/ cata is just a worse version of retail
That being said I actually have enjoyed the time I put in war within we’ll see if it continues
Its really unremarkable. If you liked Dragonflight, you'll probably like TWW.
If your looking for something to reinvigorate WoW, TWW doesnt appear to be it.
In less then a month is death 😂
It's NEVER different. They blew it long ago and cannot fix what they have broken. It's like some pathetic idiot who broke a ming vase and then keeps claiming they can 1) Fix It 2) Make it Better than it ever was 3) hands over a machine printed resin copy that melts on a hot day into a puddle.
oh, so they're learning from ff 14. I think that's good.
Crazy that they are doing what FF14 did 8 years ago...
Streamers have to cope in the early days because its the thing to stream, its literally their job.
Pretty amazing what blizzard have done with 20 year game engine
aged like 20 year old milk
I'm glad retails doing well, but it's just too bloated for me.
sounds like hes geting paid to say this bs. none of my friends have any desire to go back to retail and we use to play that shit all the time
"sub or I become a retail youtuber" 😂
Wow, so cool!
Anyways...
*proceeds back to warmane*
delusional video mate
I own the xpac and I will not be playing
