Nope, Alleria didn't say "I'm aiming at the heart", she said "I wasn't aiming at you". That's the literally thing. Could it be something else? Most likely not, but still, it wasn't spelled out what she was aiming at.
Theory/Bet: The Emperor of the Arathi is in truth a dragon (maybe Erinethrias offspring) in disguise. Or at least has somehow Dragon Blood. And the Visions he receives dont come from the light but the World Soul itself.
One thing not mentioned in this video is the few quests you do before confronting Xalatath - which actually had you feeling like you were on a battlefield for once.
That's exactly what I thought. They spent the last 14 years trying to "put the war back in warcraft." They finally did it when they stopped making it another forced faction war.
Yeah the ones right before the scenario were so so sick it was a like a huge battle! I kept fighting after I completed the objectives because it felt so cool
So. I got a theory on how this changes things for Xal. Xal is now properly pissed. Next time she appears and goes for Alleria, it will be for the throat, not a game or playing around. And now they've used their Fake Out Death. Twice. Technically. So the next Death won't be a fake out. And I thi k it'll be Turalyon. Her intended target will be Arator, but Turalyon will step in and take the hit, dying to save his son. Which also plays into that vision Arator had in the past. Turalyon is heavily red-shirted. The way he and Alleria talk to eachother gives Turalyon MAJOR "Cop a week out from retirement / Detective on their last case / Soldier saying they got a family back home" vibes.
I want to say you are right but I think it will be Arator that gets the axe. Mainly because in the short story when Alleria goes to visit him in Silvermoon she begs him to stay out of this fight. Turalyon has to deep a connection with WoW. Not that that saves you, see Varian. However, with Turalyon's connection to the light, as Bellular mentioned, he will be pivotal in the Midnight expansion as it will probably be very Void/Light heavy themed. My two cents.
One thing that caught my eye after the campaign is, when you talk to Turalyon outside the Cathedral, he besically says I don’t trust the void, but I trust Alleria etc. and „ _For now_ that is enough.“
we're going to fight him in Midnight for sure, but I don't know if we will kill him. Since I think Midnight will touch heavily on both the light and void and it will show the worst of the light the zealotry which is Turalyon, they're might even be like a Siege of Stormwind type of raid or dungeon.
@@andrew1983 Yeah, he’s also kinda the only one even bringing stuff like that up. The hints a big void / light showdown will happen not to far in the distance have been pretty obvious for a while now, but it’ll be interesting to see how he will handle it. Especially since the Xe’ra incident, I don’t see the forces of light being very _accepting_ of „good guys“ using evil powers.
You know it has to suck if you are Xal and you've spent all that time in the shadows, planning, scheming, etc. Then you finally reveal yourself, you have your little trinket all powered up with stuff that took years to get only to have it broken. It's good to see the main villain frustrated. Much more likeable than the generic Jailer was.
On the topic of world building, I remember when 10.1 came out and we went to Zaralek Cavern, I really liked the Niffen, and I liked how they were tied culturally to an existing race that we already knew from Legion, the Drogbar. But they still felt like a one and done race, sort of like the Sethrak that we'd probably never really hear from again outside of easter eggs. But seeing that side quest in Azj-Kahet with the goblins, and just going through all the innkeeper's dialogue options IMMEDIATELY made them feel like a true WoW race that fits perfectly in the world's culture, just like the Tuskarr. They even comment on how they think the Loamm Niffen are way closer to the surface than most Niffen would prefer, which really puts into perspective just how deep into the planet we are in Azj-Kahet. But it also gives a very reasonable excuse as to why we never saw Niffen prior to Zaralek Caverns considering, outside of raid instances or very specific settings like Blackrock Depths, that zone was obviously the deepest we ever went into the world prior to TWW, and now we know even that's considered fairly surface-level for them.
I think Blizzard spoiled too much this time when they told us about the next two expansions, especially the next one called Midnight. It's kinda obvius that she will return in Midnight and probably in the Last Titan as well, which kinda kills the whole ''lets hunt her down before it's too late'' thing.
The Undermine has to be coming in the expansion, there are a lot of goblins and they feel out of place, so that has to be the reason why they are here.
@@TheRealBeardedFetus it will, but I think there will be a zone to go along with it. Something about dealing with void/azerite infused Gallywix or some shit
Hate to ruin your hate boner for Denuser, but TWW was mostly finished before our lord and savior Metzin stepped in. This was all under Denuser still. Learn to give credit where credit is due, silly Bel Boy.
I really appreciated Blizzard showing us that this big overpowered super villain isn't perfect. Even Xalatath is capable of making mistakes. Far too often Blizz just makes a bad guy absolutely perfect until we beat him at the very end.
@@emetsalt2678I think the phasing is only when she’s toying with someone’s mind. She was probably more focused on collecting the power for the dark heart than to toy with alleria.
@@Brandon-yr3nj Seems like you almost forgot she literally dodged an arrow in a cinematic by phasing through, yet in this scene she flinches to hide her body, wich is a moronic thing to do, because if for example the arrow was actually aimed at her, flinching will make her get hit anyways lol, the scene was made with the purpose of breaking the item, and it shows, feels contrived and forced, to a being that literally phased through one arrow in the spider zone, give me a break
I'm so invested with our new allies, because the stories are so good. As Bellular says: We hadn't this for years. And it all fits into the world so easily and organic. It is great! :)
I really like the story and I want more. I wish we had weekly story driven quests like this all the time but I get it’s not that realistic. I do love the direction this is heading
@@barator03 Nah, timegated content feels bad and they've done plenty of that as it is in this expansion so far. People should be able to play at their own pace.
Every time I see Beledar I think it’s the tip of sargeras’ sword. But I know that’s highly unlikely due to time frames and location. But there’s a small part of me that is convinced it is.
@@NiekVL they also said that the runecarver wasnt the primus, and then later revealed that it was a misdirect to keep people guessing. so interviews are not 100% fact and canon.
All the previous times Alleria saw Xal'atath, she tried to kill her. In this last attack she knew Xal was going to turn away so she was already thinking of/aiming for the Heart, planned for when Xal turned when she said "I'm not aiming at you" and that's how she was able to hit the Heart. Absolutely the best mind-phuckery you could pull on her.
That was terrible and formulaic. Also, it wouldn't have happened, she had already knocked the bow from Alleria's hand before, why she didn't do it now was beyond dumb.
@@fadedletterslost Arrogance makes people - in fantasy God-like beings - stupid and do stupid things. Alleria had taken shots on her before, and missed every time. It would only be the same again... Except Alleria wasn't aiming for Xal'atath and she knew how she would move. Also remember, Alleria was not exactly focused or in a good headspace before. She was just focused on killing Xal. When she stopped being so focused on that, and just on stopping her, you get this.
I just started the campaign more than a week ago, but my old PC literally died, just when I was decorating the faction hub. It couldn't be fixed, so I ordered a new one. It took a week, but now I'm back. I'm currently at the Ringing Deeps portion of the campaign, with Dagran, Brinthe, and her robot. So I'm a bit late to the party, but not much. I've missed out on more videos of the game than the actual game, and that's because I prefer watching WoW videos from a computer screen rather than my phone.
@@jakubpelikan2393the patch content was produced with Metzen's influence. He also claimed that he retooled some things early in the campaign. But the implication was yes, this expansion was largely done before he got back.
Great take on the cinematic! I had chills down my spine when Alleria and Turalyon were fighting surrounded and how they show the characters emotions in that cinematic was amazing! The Blizzard Dev team is doing an amazing job!
About the "fear/anger feeding the void" part, we could say we already have precedent of this with the Sha of Pandaria feeding off of emotions, and they come from Y'Sharaaj, if I'm not mistaken. And I think Xal was drawing power from Beledar in the cutscene, not the black blood. Unless Beledar was full of that thing and I missed it at some point. I do agree the story camping was awesome!
Someone on another video quoted : When the arrow finds its mark, the last fetter will fall away. -N'Zoth N’Zoth whispers: The fall of night reveals her true face. She will bring only ruin. What do you think?
It could mean a lot of things, but it might be nothing. So far, very few of the quotes from N'Zoth and Il'gynoth have actually happened and I highly doubt that absolutely everything they said will happen.
@@Foxtrot-jr5quyep. The void sees ALL possibilities. They don’t just have an instant win button though. Just like the Titans are trying to nudge the universe towards order, the void has to basically pick one outcome that suits their desires, then has to start working backwards to figure out a way to nudge the universe towards void.
@@mattphoenix4702 For me, that's just lazy/bad writing just like with the whole ''demons can't really die'' explanation. Oh this Old God said this and that in a very cryptic way, I wonder what that means, says the player while the Blizzard employees are laughing their asses, because they themselves don't know either and are throwing (you know what) on the wall to see what will stick and what not. I used to take WoW's lore seriously until Bfa and the Shadowlands and after countless retcons, unexplained events and illogical stories I no longer give it too much thought.
If you are familiar with Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series, the Arathi story might seem a bit familiar. Thousands of years in the past a fleet from the major nation at the time sailed into a sea of storms that had been thought impassable. That fleet made it to their destination made a great empire, then eventually returned. They were fanatically loyal to their emperor and their version of the light. Is this the Arathi from Wow or the Seanchan from Wot
I guess we'll see when the rest of the Empire returns with more strange beasts in their ranks than just lynxes. And if they'd immedeatly try to subjugate the others because they feel they have the right to rule due to descending from a long-dead king.
15: 50 - If you do all of the quests currently involving the Haranir, you learn from a type of Ancient that the area where the roots can be found used to be a lake/ocean until the roots penetrated through and caused the water to drain somewhere else. If you explore the area, you can still see the sand, seedweed and coral that have long since died.
I wanna know about Flippin Dark Heart!!! Where did it come from, what is it, what does it do, who made it, how did they make it, why did Neltharion have it, why didn't he use it, did someone have it before him and if so who, how did Iridikron know about it, how did Xal know about it, what did sucking up Galakrond do, why is Xal using it to suck up Beledar, why would the Titans rather sacrifice Nozdormu to Murozond rather than let Iridikron suck up Galakrond's essence, what even is his essence, what even is Galakrond. SO. MANY. QUESTIONS.
My head Cannon is that it was a proto dragon seal whatever the thing that he used to proto dragon soul. So that's what I think that he had the darkheart for. Second, I would have to say that the reason he didn't use it is cuz he in his early days was still against the void and was actively trying to fight against and protect the planet. While The whispers were driving him mad when he realized maybe the dark heart was out of his control, he decided to shelve it and create the dragon soul
@spacequack5470 I think they know who Galakrond is, but rather are questioning his zombie-esque affliction and origin before it. No need to be condescending, we should foster curiosity. :)
The only issue I had with the campaign was how every time someone sacrificed themselves, it got reversed. It made Khadgar's healing seem cheaper since everyone has survived.
Gotta be honest, I have not be super involved in your channel that much nor wow since legion.... glad to be back, a little less this time but feeling great about it, good video too!
I’m glad to hear this expansion seems to be a return to form. I’ve played and loved Warcraft since the original RTS, but BfA and Shadowlands really killed my enjoyment of the franchise. Even given Bellular’s praise, I don’t find that I’m interested in returning, but I do hope those still in the game have a blast!
I agree! I'm usually left with things halfway wrapped up and then forgetting those plots by the time the next patch/Season starts. It was shorter than previous, but we're getting another one very soon. And they posted their anniversary sneak preview video that that's going to be the entire next patch after season start. I have really enjoyed how warbands worked as well. I don't have to do the campaign on every alt.
The side quests and the Delves and world quest are fun, I didn't feel burdened for overwhelmed. I love the city and i just enjoy walking around and experiencing it. This expansion is gold and makes me happy to lvl ults.
From the lightning and the tempest, our emperor, deliver us! Any else feel like the Arathi are giving a strong impression of the Dominion from WildStar, aesthetically?
The story has been storying. Magni made me cry. The Xal'atath thing was super satisfying. So many good, quirky characters and the spider side stories are hilarious and creepy. I've been reading every quest as suggested and it's been a long time since I loved this game like this.
I hardly disagree. TWW atm is just a big boom of cliffhangs. Like DF was. Its like blizzard keep doing this forever to keep you around. Like, "wait the next chapter bro". The next chapter come and its again, wait the next chapter. We don't know anything and i doubt we will learn something big at the end...just like in DF. We are not back. We are at the same pace...
I loved the video. About the trapping Xal part, I thought it did show growth of Alleria, but not in the way you mentioned. Instead of trapping Xal by psyching her out, I thought it showed growth because Alleria didnt shoot at the source of her grief and rage, Xal, but the Dark Heart itself. She showed that she’s no longer blinded by anger and rage and is thinking of the bigger picture when she could have aimed at Xal. What do you think??
I'm grateful they presented the story basically all at once. Most of the time, I have to watch videos to keep up. Now, I get to watch the video and nod in agreement.
Loremaster Metzen. The haronir are definitely troll throwbacks or similar species because they sound just like trolls but a little less heavy on the Jamaican accents. They sound more Mid-African. But I already love their little bat forms. They're so cute!!
I saw some theory that they could be the missing link between trolls and night elves. We know night elves are descendants from trolls and if you look at their models they do feel like a hybrid between trolls and night elves.
I fail to see how one can find the whole dark heart story arc to be satisfying. The dark heart has been a campaign keepsake by bad dudes for several patches now, and it just kept getting stronger and stronger with Xal and Iridikron powering it up. I was hoping for a more compelling narrative other than Alleria shoots it with an arrow, cracks it open, pisses Mama Xal off, and thats it.. No climatic moment with the Dark Heart even though its been soaking up magic energy for evil use since 10.1.5 basically, but then again, maybe we arent done with the Dark Heart. Maybe Xal has to go patch it up and find another power source. Who knows?
xalatath says "the black bloods power, my power", i thought that means the black blood is her blood, ie her previous body before she was turned into a dagger. i think she is trying to resurect her old form as an old god.
I'm surprised I haven't heard anybody draw a parallel between the crystal in Hallowfall and the crystal that powered the Ashbringer. It could turn from light to void as well and was originally possessed by a Warlock. The power of the Ashbringer was used at the Sword of Sargeras too.
I mean it's a common theme by now, Naaru do the same as Naaru and Dark Naaru shifting, it's clear that it's a similar thing to the Naaru. Also Genedar, Exodar, and Xenedar and Beledar, a bit too similar the naming. The Arathi were also brought here by the Light and teleported in Hallowfall by the Light to find Beledar. The only mystery here is what is Beledar exactly, not the connection between it and the Naaru or the Ashbringer crystal.
Alleria didn't fake out Xal, she just counted on the fact that she didn't understand that Alleria was hooking her shot. Think of bowling... if you do bowl. If you want to hook your ball, you twist your wrist slightly - that is all that Alleria did.
Leftover stuff danglin for TWW- The Darkness- Dungeon boss escapes The Decaytriarch- from DF, same. Might play in with Harronir. Harrowdeep? Irikrond? we're underground, Surprised no earth dragons other than being tired of dragons. Rootway- Emerald dream sleepy around the root zone line Undermine- Literally a blocked tunnel in Mmarl leading there The Undersea/Across it- Mention in video, but yea the fish. The Kobyss might just be black-blooded Ankoans too. Inside/Above the crystal- same idea And of course everyone's favorite, Spooky cosmic void location of your choice (Karesh, "Voidlands", More telogris, etc)
Have you played through this as a Priest with the Xa'latath blade transmog on? She talks to you just like in legion, there's even a special message just for you right before the final fight at the cathedral. Edit: You mentioned about Stargate. Claudia Black (Vala Mal-doran/Qetesh) has also voiced for Blizzard and I'm wondering if some of the female Nerubian voices might be her as they sound just like Qetesh in Stargate. As a side note, Tony Amendola also played a great character in a TV series called Continuum.
There's another doorway in the Coreway that I'm sure will open up some time during the expansion or a future expansion. And I hope we go to Arathor some time. I would love to see the Empire.
I thought the black blood was explained pretty well in earlier quests, it is used to empower the nerubians and ascended and killing them spills it everywhere, spreading it from their corpses.
It's not the game engine tho, the engine of WoW has been redone and rebuilt and updated every xpack since before Legion. The reason you have so many bugs is because of the old coding from Vanilla thru Wrath isn't really compatible with all the new stuff they add. So they have to find work arounds which lead to bugs, and the old coding leads to server lag when events like world bosses are pulled.
I think Beladar is what the Tauren call An'she. One of the "Eyes of the Earthmother. That is said to have been injured and bleeds fire. And that was sent up into the heavens, because staying below would risk it falling to the darkness of the Old Gods (Tales of Azeroth lore). Something that has watched over Azeroth. And that we need to discover the reason of, for why it returned to Azeroth.
Xal'atath is Gul'dan 2.0 she dies in Midnight I'll be pissed if she lives until The Last Titan. I hope she's the final boss in this expansion but it's probably Iridikon which I already forgotten about, or it's Locus Walker.
Azshara needs to be the final boss in Midnight, she deserves her own expansion, and Midnight is perfect for her since we're supposedly getting a Quel'thalas revamp and it will be Elf/Troll centric, and basically a Cataclysm 2.0, but void themed.
I will say, regarding the point about FFXIV and its stories being self-contained to the expansions. That is only the case in Endwalker. Every other expansion doesn't have its story wrap up until the X.3 patch MSQ. Endwalker was an exception because it was the culmination of the entire story up until that point.
"This changes nothing" is the typical response you get from a villain who thinks they're "waking everyone up to the truth" and all that. Which the void side has quoted that kind of stuff a lot. They usually say "this changes nothing, your fate is still sealed" or something like that, because they're convinced this is the correct way for the world to continue forward and is inevitable.
And an npc in the main city by brann bronzebeard at the scouting map says she is missing something and on the map she is standing before is a river that is close to where dalaran exploded..
The black blood can also just be Xal'atath's. I mean, she does say "my power" in that cutscene, right? Maybe it's literally her power, her blood, from former body.
Kiiiind of weird how she was able to just smack the Bow around with a wave of her finger only to just accept her precious item being shot by it x) Also she dodged the shot at least once as well. Other than that, especially the lead up to that scene, was really good.
I’ve been on & off wow for years and this xpac finally feels good.. this isn’t the “honeymoon” phase. This is fun. This is exciting. It’s different… I just wish my buddies hung with me along the way, they’re not coming back after BFA..
Hi! I can very much see Xal'Atath being the end boss of this expansion AND surviving to the end of the saga expansion! There are many ways it could still be a satisfying ending even with a "half-win" if You will 🤔🤗
Xal'atath managed to easily dodge an arrow coming from Alleria in the nerubian storyline, while Alleria sniped from out of sight. Now in this cutscene Alleria cocking an arrow slowly and openly pointing it at Xal'atath and her just…slighlty turning instead of disappearing into smoke like before….that is kinda stupid. Could be a ''I WANTED you to shoot the heart'' thing later, but that would also feel unsatisfying.
Xalatath seemingly letting her guard down enough to allow Alleria to shoot the Dark Heart was an interesting narrative choice in my opinion. It was a way to show that Xal has a flaw in her armor, her own hubris of her plan going so perfectly that she let something slip up.
Yeah, kind of like how the Jailer could've killed us in Xereth Mortis and then turned away and said, "They do not matter. Ignore them." Very interesting narrative choice, villains and their hubris that is.
I am wondering if we won’t see further hints at Xal’s plan thought to lead into midnight. Obvious the heart and something happens to trigger the events of midnight
Beledar seems like it could also be an entity itself emitting "the radiant song". I agree that the sword of Sargeras was aimed at a body of an old god but how is Sargeras and Xal' Atath related?
The lore has been so great so far this expansion, such an enjoyable experience. Have you ever theorised that Sargeras hit Azeroth in a way to "wake her up" from the full titan influence (I thought maybe the Titan prison we see in The Last Titan image), because since we healed her (which I feel like Sargeras knew we would), she's become a lot more sentient as a world soul, removing titan influence from the world through granting gifts. I feel like it was a if I can't have neither can you to the Titans, haha. Love the lore videos.
Is it possible the main story was shortened since it is three expansions in one? Maybe since they are trying to make content faster they purposely made it shorter
Dude it's the start of the xpack. Who says this is the last of the main story quests? Blizz gave us main story quests in DF every new season/major patch.
I feel as though the story was supposed to be longer, but Metzen and the writing team decided to shorten it when they decided on making a trilogy. Some of the pacing feels too fast, especially in Hallowfall and Azj'kahet, but the max level campaign feels correctly paced. Either way, I'm actually glad the story isnt super bloated. Bell mentioned FF14 and honestly as much as I love that game the story feels way too bloated at times.
What if Dreanor started to get destroyed and Yrel and her people tried to come to our timeline and accidentally went into the past and wrecked the ship? She went crazy and we seen in the Mag'har Orc Heritage questline that she was trying make the Orcs come to her side or face death. They escaped Dreanor, came to our timeline and crashed, in the past. The Harronir are Dreanei and Orcs offspring. Yrel has turned to the Void and will be the final boss of the expansion
so does kadgar use the void whispers to talk to alleria? does that imply kadgar has a grasp on voidy things already? sure hes an all powerful mage but to whisper through the void so soon? another question I have that I havent seen talked about is IF there is an old god we dont know about but we find out about. does that mean shadow priest gets a new talent capstone?
As weird as it sounds, I kind of wish Goblin's would become more powerful in the story. Goblin Engineering over time should get better and i want to see an upgraded Goblin race.
They’re definitely going to make a power move this expansion, where has their leader been? Plus they’ve hinted at Undermine a couple times in the side quests and that would give them a great opportunity to expand on old lore and show off their new zone layering technology.
Probably would have worked better if Alleria could somehow nudge her own arrow midflight? Not sure I buy how that all happened unless Knaifu wanted it to happen, and she's showing off her acting chops. I'm not playing WoW anymore, so maybe this is obvious or commonly known, but what exactly is Xalateth's motivation? Does she have a goal? Or is she just twirling her moustsache and wielding mcguffins?
She is called the harbinger, so ideally her goal is to bring about the return of the black empire. We don't know exactly if that is her goal, but that is a pretty safe guess. The ethereal home world also had a being on it referred to as a harbinger before their planet was consumed by void. It is a bit of speculation for now, but she definitely has a goal.
I think now that the story since Legion until Shadowlands was not in "wrong direction", now it seem that it had "no direction", they basically had no idea how WoW lore is constructed and how it should be approached. Ever since Metzen is back as consultant the stories seem like totally different and likeable.
It's very difficult to take all of this praise seriously when you were also celebrating Dragonflight as some kind of marvel of modern videogame storytelling because you could sit next to a character and read unvoiced speech bubbles for 8 minutes straight.
I have never played a wow except a bit of classic and dont really know the expansion usually go. Will there still be new content rolling out after the campaign is over, except the raid and mythic dungeons, etc.? I sure hope so, cause I'm really enjoying it so far :)
Yes, in recent expansions, they release a lot of new material, usually in new zones, with each major patch, and sometimes substantial stuff in intermediate patches. From the 2024 roadmap Blizzard released, we'll see patch 11.0.5 later this year around the time of the 20th anniversary, which will have further quests and progress the storyline.
@@Slania227 I'm pretty sure that she will return in Midnight and maybe in the Last Titan too, so I think Blizzard spoiled too much when they told us what the next two expansions are going to be called and hunting us what to expect, which means that almost nothing what we do in this expansion really matters and the interesting and good stuff are going to be in the next two expansions. This one is going to be a filler expansion that will get us hyped and on our toes as well as getting into the stories of some of the races and stuff like that, but I doubt that anything groundbreaking is going to happen, not until the end that is and then we're probably going to lose and in Midnight we're going to have to deal with it.

The hints a big void / light showdown will happen not to far in the distance have been pretty obvious for a while now, but it’ll be interesting to see how he will handle it.
Especially since the Xe’ra incident, I don’t see the forces of light being very _accepting_ of „good guys“ using evil powers.
His wife is the void, It was said in Legion. T hey touch each other and BOOM, massive void and light orgasm.
Claudia Christian has been absolutely killing it with Xal'atath.
Oh! That's who is doing her voice? I remember her from a movie called The Hidden that had Kyle MacLachlan in it.
Yeah, she’s been doing a legendary job since Legion 😍
I agree! I love her voice acting! I hope they keep her around for a while

Translation: This changes everything
Why so angry if it changes nothing?
Nah it probably wont change her plan.
What does it change?
I think Blizzard spoiled too much this time when they told us about the next two expansions, especially the next one called Midnight. It's kinda obvius that she will return in Midnight and probably in the Last Titan as well, which kinda kills the whole ''lets hunt her down before it's too late'' thing.
The Undermine has to be coming in the expansion, there are a lot of goblins and they feel out of place, so that has to be the reason why they are here.
I think you are correct, with a proper raid there. However, I think their role will be one of goblin engineering fixing a particular item.

I really appreciated Blizzard showing us that this big overpowered super villain isn't perfect. Even Xalatath is capable of making mistakes. Far too often Blizz just makes a bad guy absolutely perfect until we beat him at the very end.
If only blizz didn't forget that xal can just phase in and out of existence and dodge the arrows like she did in the quests before this one LOL

All the previous times Alleria saw Xal'atath, she tried to kill her. In this last attack she knew Xal was going to turn away so she was already thinking of/aiming for the Heart, planned for when Xal turned when she said "I'm not aiming at you" and that's how she was able to hit the Heart.

I've missed out on more videos of the game than the actual game, and that's because I prefer watching WoW videos from a computer screen rather than my phone.
Danuser out, Metzen in.. it's not a coincidence the story is suddenly not crap now, and actually pretty damn GOOD.

When the arrow finds its mark, the last fetter will fall away.
-N'Zoth
N’Zoth whispers: The fall of night reveals her true face. She will bring only ruin.
What do you think?
This could be what was hinted at with "Bring about the hour of her third death"
It could mean a lot of things, but it might be nothing. So far, very few of the quotes from N'Zoth and Il'gynoth have actually happened and I highly doubt that absolutely everything they said will happen.
@@Foxtrot-jr5quyep. The void sees ALL possibilities. They don’t just have an instant win button though.
What rock are you living under that you don't know what Galakrond is????
@spacequack5470 I think they know who Galakrond is, but rather are questioning his zombie-esque affliction and origin before it. No need to be condescending, we should foster curiosity. :)

Thanks for the breakdown! I appreciate you sharing this.
"When the arrow finds its mark, the last fetter will fall away."
Who knows?
Man I am so hyped for the rest of this expansion plus they just announced the 20th anniversary event!
its so good to see a villain that earned its place and was well developed
It honestly look like xalatath herself actually absorbed all of that power.
Whenever Bellular mentions Stargate its always a good episode!
xalatath says "the black bloods power, my power", i thought that means the black blood is her blood, ie her previous body before she was turned into a dagger. i think she is trying to resurect her old form as an old god.
I could be wrong, but I viewed that cinematic as her syphoning shadow power from the crystal rather than the black blood. Just my take.
The Arathi are probably going to feature heavily in a future expansion, their homeland is ripe to be a major region.
Leftover stuff danglin for TWW-
The Darkness- Dungeon boss escapes
The Decaytriarch- from DF, same. Might play in with Harronir.
Harrowdeep? Irikrond? we're underground, Surprised no earth dragons other than being tired of dragons.
Rootway- Emerald dream sleepy around the root zone line
Undermine- Literally a blocked tunnel in Mmarl leading there
The Undersea/Across it- Mention in video, but yea the fish. The Kobyss might just be black-blooded Ankoans too.
Inside/Above the crystal- same idea
And of course everyone's favorite, Spooky cosmic void location of your choice (Karesh, "Voidlands", More telogris, etc)
Alleria also had a moment of being washed over with the void where she could have seen a possible vision of the future from the whispers and used it
I remember when he used to put lore videos here and not a third party site, good ol days
I know, right...
I enjoyed it. A few bugs but until they update the game engine it'll just be a thing
90$ early access full of bugs really pays off 🤡
man with the 20 years in game event this feels really great, great to play wow these days
Ending ? The expansions not been out a month
The main campaign ended. Its not like other expansions where you were forced to wait for months and months to finish it.
I will say, regarding the point about FFXIV and its stories being self-contained to the expansions. That is only the case in Endwalker. Every other expansion doesn't have its story wrap up until the X.3 patch MSQ. Endwalker was an exception because it was the culmination of the entire story up until that point.
Nice to see a lore video again
I'm still ready for them to make us re-form Atiesh now that it's broken again. Will be a 'new' legendary this xpac for sure.
Just another copy paste villian response really.
That's what it sounded like to me.
Kiiiind of weird how she was able to just smack the Bow around with a wave of her finger only to just accept her precious item being shot by it x) Also she dodged the shot at least once as well. Other than that, especially the lead up to that scene, was really good.
Where is Thrall? the artwork centers around him.

Pretty sure that was talking about the Dreadlords, my guy lol.
Kind of how Sauron doesn't expect Frodo to take the ring to Mount Doom - the most powerful villains always have a blindspot "close to home".
Yeah, kind of like how the Jailer could've killed us in Xereth Mortis and then turned away and said, "They do not matter. Ignore them." Very interesting narrative choice, villains and their hubris that is.
"Im dead, im not dead, im dead, im not dead just disabled" story of wow
I am wondering if we won’t see further hints at Xal’s plan thought to lead into midnight. Obvious the heart and something happens to trigger the events of midnight
I mean a conversation about it is great but idk if it needed an 'Ending Explained' title - its pretty clear cut x]
How is it three expansions in one?
@@DavidUzsak this is part one of a three part series of expansions.
Bell mentioned FF14 and honestly as much as I love that game the story feels way too bloated at times.
they done what they planned with wod, they can do it now because actual wow player base buys whatever blizzard shit makes.
Plus they’ve hinted at Undermine a couple times in the side quests and that would give them a great opportunity to expand on old lore and show off their new zone layering technology.
funny how the only power the dark heart can not absord is Void.
Voidpunch and Void arrow both hit her without getting absorbed - remember that.
Wasnt there a whisper or old god (dont recall correctly), that said something like the sea under the sea or something?
When I look at that glowing shard in the sky, I thought it's the end of Sargeras blade.
Haha yeah I always forget how early Brae'tac was introduced and he is important all the way to season 10 of Stargate SG-1
I can’t be the only one who sees the stained glass window framing dark Beledar looks exactly like the Dark Heart right?
If that brood of green dragons was taken by the nightmare, it would make sense for the Arathi to burn them out in the past.
Kinda forgot to mention she saying yhe Black Blood was HER BLOOD. Possibly confirming she is the 5th Old God
i think she more likely spawned from the desperate hatred of cthun and his underlings when the empire fell
She said the power was hers not the blood.
This is Bellular every expansion. In 3-6 months the tune will be different.
Ive seen a lot of folks theorizing the Harronir as a proto troll/elf people, I think it'd be more fitting to have them be proto goblins.
But we've seen proto-goblins; they're pygmies.
From the 2024 roadmap Blizzard released, we'll see patch 11.0.5 later this year around the time of the 20th anniversary, which will have further quests and progress the storyline.
i think xalatath will be the final boss, but she will wind up escaping.
Or winning.
I hope she s the big bad for the entire saga
@Jaddort could be. Maybe like a razageth situation but she doesn't die
