    "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering." Yoda.
    "Suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character and character produces hope". Romans 5:4
    I've always felt that Yoda's fortune cookie quote felt unfinished. Who'd have thought I'd find the second half of that in the bible.

      That and if it's R2-D2 that is being more emotional than some of the other characters in a scene then that isn't necessarily a bad thing. R2 is one of the most emotive robots I've seen in film to date.

      @@EricGraham94 3 years later do you still feel this way. I thought it was a movie that challenged people and some weren’t up to it. They were offended and couldn’t or wouldn’t like anything that they didn’t predict. They put effort into the sequels actually using sets and practical effects not just a cgi green screen background like the prequels use.

      @@jackdehoog5985 No one doubts the talent of the production team, or the fact that throughout the sequel trilogy, they used many old school techniques with practical creatures and effects. Hell, even going so far as to shoot the entirety of the sequel trilogy on film, whereas with Episode 2 and 3 being entirely shot on digital. What the sequel trilogy lacked though was a clear and defined vision of how the story should play out over the course of the 3 films.
      This actually could have been mitigated had they used George's original story drafts for the trilogy, or have one consistent writer/director for each film. Or if they were still going to have a different director for each film like the original trilogy, then what they could have done say, during the writing stage of Episode 7, J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan could have written out a full story treatment or even 3 full screenplays so that way everything would have been consistent throughout. Another example of how they could have stayed consistent is say after Colin Trevorrow left Episode 9, they could have at least kept on Rian Johnson and made the story flow over better from Episode 8 to Episode 9.
      I myself actually liked both Episode 7 and 8 and still do, but Episode 9 was such a huge step backwards for the trilogy, that it honestly felt like a punch in the dick.
      The sequel trilogy has its moments but it seriously needed a much better plan laid out beforehand.

    31:22 This was the issue that was seen with the Old Jedi Order. Star Wars The Clones Wars did address this issue along with Rebels. Luke figured this out and is striving away from the Old Jedi Order's ways.
    That is why this Jedi Order failed, their beliefs. They were still stuck in the old ways of fighting the sith (During the Sith Empire and such)

      More specifically the age-old wars with the Sith, in which the Republic and Jedi Order had to fight EMPIRES run by the Sith.... until Darth Bane revolutionized the Sith ideology with the belief that the older Sith were weak. If all is equal in power, then NO ONE is strong. These teachings went as far back as Darth Revan’s time as a Sith Lord, but Bane made these teachings a reality with the Rule of Two.

      However, when it comes to the storyline, fight scenes, characters, etc., but it's also the most depressing of the prequel trilogy and somewhat devoid of moments in between those heavier scenes that provide relief from how much of a downer they can be.

    Something interesting about the whole Sipho Dias thing:
    In the original extended lore, Jedi Master Sipho Dias was in fact a real Jedi. He was also a close friend to Count Dooku/Darth Tyrannous. In fact, it was Dooku who killed him and even gave Dias's lightsaber to General Grievous.
    As for Dias's body, Dooku had it preserved in a case that is displayed right next to his favorite armchair in a room in his home! Pretty crazy, huh?
    It's this kind of absolute madness that only makes me wish even more that the original extended lore was still considered to be cannon.

    Episode one I grew up watching and it was my introduction to Star Wars as a child, so it has a special place in my heart. The highlights to me would be darth Maul’s fight scene, the pod race, and the visuals of Gungan city. All of Jango’s scenes and the arena fight scene with all the jedi, droids, and creatures were the only redeemable parts of episode two. And revenge of the sith.... Grevious, that’s it. (Loved your vid btw, quickly becoming my favorite channel)

    Two points that Suspect missed. First of all, Anakin’s missing of Dooku with one of his strikes is meant to show he’s perfect for hitting piñatas. Also, when Ki-Adi Mundi fought General Grievous, thee Jedi survived. Mundi, Shaak Ti and Aayla Secura all survived the attack. In all seriousness, these videos are awesome. Also, I forgot how General Laryngitis’s coughing is unintentionally hilarious. I remember as a kid, my friends and I always called him General Cough Drop and mocked his coughing when we saw Revenge of the Sith.

    on his episode 2 review, when obi-wan tells anakin, "patience. use the force, think" and suspect uses bruce lee to counter him, I also like to point out that obi-wan's master, Qui-gon Jinn, also says something similar to anakin in episode one and I believe he has told the same advice to obi-wan. the line is spoken before anakin hops into his podracer. Qui-gon says to Anakin, " Remember, feel. Think, use your instincts." I know I'm a major geek and star wars fan for pointing this out but I think it needed to be said.

      I know this is super late.
      Qui-Gon says, “Feel, DON’T think.” It’s probably to show how different Qui-Gon is from the other Jedi. Even his student. But I believe you are right in saying that the two lines are directly connected. Lucas was very intentional with his dialogue. There were some scenes that were improv, but they were rare.

    Your complete misunderstanding of Anakin's turn astonishes me
    It wasn't only about Padme,it was about the corruption of the Jedi and how their flawed they had become
    If course I am brushing over the details but I am saying this in very short terms

    • @theguy6037
      @theguy6037 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good point, but the movie didn't really handle that very well. I really wasn't aware of the corruption of the Jedi the first few times watching the Prequels aside from sitting in a counsel room all day looking boring beyond belief

    • @annnee6818
      @annnee6818 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think he only minded the corruption of the Jedi in the first place because they wouldn't help him with Padme (as in had to keep relationship secret, hide his fear of her dying). He wouldn't have noticed it without that. When he knelt before Palpatine he only asked to help him save Padme. I don't think he misunderstood... the rest of the stuff just came on top, when the turn had already happened.
