If ever i wanted someone to win a major title it was emma in this us-open, smiling and just loving every moment of her time there was the secret i think to her winning and she treated it all like it was so much fun.
emma is just so sweet and cool...just love her and she is so respective of others and humble...her parents did a fantastic job in her upbringing and keeping her education as a priority as well as supporting her in her tennis career...i just think she is so inspirational to all generations and is a brilliant role model.

Having played 8 matches in 11 days without dropping a set in her second major tournament. A literally astonishing achievement. The Hollywood Actress / model looks certainly don’t do her any harm. But, now a multi millionaire, and having been the recipient of a large amount of negative press coverage and immense scrutiny, she has remained as polite, gracious and charming as she is here; climbing 220+ places in the rankings, after a year out and 3 rounds of surgery, playing the fewest number of matches of any top 100 player…..anyone who writes her off as a ‘one hit wonder’ is a fool. An astonishing young woman

The thing is, her links with China, Romania and particularly Canada were entirely accidental. What formed her as a tennis player was England, and in particular the LTA. England is also the country that is the only home she's known, the country where she had access to free education and free healthcare. She's as English as she wants to be, and that seems to be 100% - even if she does cherish her family origins.
Emma seems more focused, agree it’ll be a while before she wins a slam again but she’s got time on her side and with home crowd on her side at SW19 and growing confidence I see her winning Wimbledon
Ostapenko is all-or-nothing, and usually nothing, with questionable mental attitude. They are nothing alike. It's harder in general for players on the women's side to dominate grand slams partly due to best-of-3 matches. Serena was an outlier in recent years, but she was just hitting bigger than anyone else for so long. Now it is far more even. We can't and shoudn't really even begin to judge on one Grand Slam. But people are excited for Emma because of how she was able to mentally block out so much pressure. This is a huge advantage to her if she can maintain it as she gets older.
