The Uk is social engineering on a huge scale. The disadvantaged white working class have been disadvantaged for too long yet there was no positive discrimination for this disadvantaged group. Ever. Yeah tennis seems a lot like adapting to even every ball when I play. Being able to think on your feet and problem solve mid-match is a big bonus but that comes more with experience I think if she has that already thats impressive

She plays scientific tennis and this sets her apart from all the other tennis players, male or female. It is this that allowed her to win 10 games without dropping a set and also to win against more experienced players.

Emma doesn't "need" tennis, it's just what she's focused on right now. You can see it in her demeanour. This is a lady who knows how to focus her attention. She proved that by her recent A Level exam results. I suspect that her Chinese mother is a major influence in her development to date, but maybe her Romanian father or her English education are equally responsible. Maybe she was just born old :-) But she is very British in the way she portrays herself. I love her. Who or whatever may claim responsibility, the end result is the Emma we see today, a glorious woman who plays beautiful, "grunt free", tennis, and maturely deals with the press attention that her on court success attracts. She came to top flight tennis at the right time in her life. I care little if she progresses further in the US Open, but I look forward to watching her play again. Her glorious smile brightens my life :-)

Unfortunately, she will! Remember the match between Serena and Andreescu in 2019? At some point, Andreescu was covering her ears with her hands in order to withstand all the noise and the screaming! Unfortunately, she will! Remember the match between Serena and Andreescu in 2019? At some point, Andreescu was covering her ears with her hands in order to withstand all the noise and the screaming! Not an easy crowd to play against! It would have been far better for Emma to play Barty. The crowd would have been on her side.
