When Gina's Ertai Resurrected entered the battlefield, both its trigger and Blake's Faerie Artisans' trigger go on the stack, meaning that Ertai's trigger was on the stack all along when Blake created his copies. I was definitely expecting Blake to use one of them to counter the original trigger and save his Champion! (But we all miss things during a game, don't we?)
Ever since the switch back to this channel, I can't get my yt feed to show the worst possible commander show. I have to actually remember Sundays are the day.
Fun fact about Charasmatic conquerer, you cannot tap an already tapped creature so although you can pay for one of them, the other two will still create vampires. Also silly, if CGB somehow got a second one or three different players had charismatic conquerer, the game would end in a draw because they would create a loop that would not end unless one was killed
Because Brian had two Charismatic conquerors and CBG made a blood token but tapped it for one of the triggers wouldn't the second trigger still happen because as you said you can't tap an already tapped creature? So wouldn't Brian get a vampire off this trigger? And then wouldn't CBGs Charismatic Conqueror trigger and make Brian tap that vampire or give CBG another vampire? And if he didn't tap it and gave CBG another vampire could he layer the triggers with the faerie trigger at the bottom so that his Charismatic Conquerors are never exiled and they can both go infinite with tokens?
Would probably need a judge to confirm because that card causes some weird interactions 😂 to keep it from looping my understanding is that so long as CGB's tap trigger is the one paid for then it won't create the infinite loop. Still a new card and weird interaction so I definitely do not fault the gang for not catching it. If they wanted to work together they could absolutely be like "if you don't tap a million times I won't tap a million times" and have massive boards
@@gerardoramos3179 I actually looked more into this and Brian is the only one that can stop the loop by tapping his vampires who enter. The Gatherer page for Charismatic Conqueror explicitly goes over this rule that if it's tapped as the trigger resolves you can't tap it so it makes a vampire. CBG can't pay for two triggers by tapping, so Brian will make two vampires and choose not to tap. And then CBG will make two vampires, and can't tap twice, so Brian will make 4 vampires and choose not to tap, and CBG will make 4 vampires and can't tap for both triggers, and Brian will make 4 vampires and so on and so on until Brian chooses to tap all his entering vampires to pay for all of CBGs Charismatic Conqueror triggers.
Yes so long as CGB's trigger is the one paid for either by Brian or Gina, it does not create the infinite loop. This also means that the table would be at Brian's Mercy because again he could choose not to tap and keep getting minimum one vampire from CGB keeping the loop going until he felt like stopping
Question, when Charismatic Conqueror was played it entered the battlefield, then faerie artisan makes two copy tokens that ETB and the previous copies are exile, since Blake didn't tap his Conqueror copies shouldn't Covertgoblue get two vampire tokens that he can then tap to prevent further tokens being made by Blake? If parallel lives wasn't there they'd also both have an equally large army them by stacking triggers right?
Actually this board state should have resulted in Blake getting as many thousands of Vampires as he wanted. Because he has two Charismatic Conquerors they each trigger on every creature. So if Blake didn't tap them to pay the Charismatic Conqueror trigger CBG would have two cunning conqueror triggers. Making two vampires. But both of Blake's Conquerors actually trigger on each of them. The wording of Charismatic Conqueror isn't "Choose to have it enter tapped" it is that you can tap it after it enters to pay for the trigger and not give them a vampire. But because there are two triggers you can only tap it for one of them. The other trigger remains unpaid because it saw the vampire enter untapped, but didn't see it be tapped because it was tapped in response to the other Charismatic Conqueror trigger. If Blake doesn't have any of his vampires enter tapped CBG has to make a vampire. If CBG makes a vampire he can't pay for both Charismatic Conqueror triggers on his single vampire because he can't tap it twice. And Faerie Artisan only cares about non token creatures so the Charismatic Conquerors never get exiled just because a vampire token entered on CBGs board. And of course Blake would have thousands of counters on Champion of Lambholt.
correct me if i am wrong, but doesnt Blakes Vein Ripper Triggers go on the stack after CGBs?.. so they resolve first and he can kill everyone. So Blake should win? no?
Wait... So you can just choose to have things enter tapped? Is that a general rule for every permanent? I never heard of that and couldn't find the rule^^ (But I'm quite certain they know what they're doing ;) Also, just to verify: This doesn't get around summoning sickness with Amulet of Vigor, right? That'd just be silly^^
First time commenter, long time viewer, I’m just catching up on some old episodes I’ve missed and I’m trying to find the hoodie CGB is wearing and I’m coming up short. Does anyone know where to find it?
Shea pretty much handed CGB the game when she countered Blake's Teferi's protection. But before that all of the entering untapped strongly contributed. I wonder if the team doesn't play against aristocrats very often.
I know thisnwouldnt be easy, but... After watching the pro tour I was wondering how hard it would be to somehow display the current hand of the players...
100% upset i couldnt get that secret lair gina is playing with my card was hacked when i tried to buy it so wizards never sent me an email telling me to change it 😥😭
Shay neglecting to use land tax properly to filter her deck is odd to me. Even the tirn she played an island she discards a misty rainforest at the end of turn misisng anither opportunity to filter.
Besides all the great commander play, misplays and missed triggers, you know like real people, my real reason for watching (and please don't take this the wrong way)' I just love Shea's beautiful eyes!!
Wait, what am i missing here on CGBs win? How would vein ripper trigger off an overloaded damn? Sure, a bunch of things are dying, but the vein ripper would die at the same time as everything else, meaning he wouldnt be on the field to get those death triggers. Same with cruel celebrant. Unless he gave them indestructible somehow and i missed it? Edit: Okay, apparently death triggers work differently than like, anything else? Normally anything thats printed on a card is null and void when that card dies, as far as i know. But somehow death triggers get to look back to before their death occurred? Because, its not like the death trigger goes on the stack, and then it dies. Because dying in mtg is the act of moving from the field to the graveyard. With any other effect, the instant that card leaves the field, its triggers no longer count, so it wouldnt be there to "see" everything else dying. Unless it were the last thing to die, but that isnt the case, with a board wipe everything dies simultaneously, so by the time the card would "see" them dying, it would already be in the yard and its effect null and void. But apparently death triggers are the one exception to this? Very counterintuitive, but good to know.
I love to see Gina on the show, she gets such beefy creatures tobbeat everyone up But today I am 100% rooting for Shae. I like big butts and I can't deny

Yep exactly, that's what I was waiting for. Kill something, counter the original Etali trigger. Etali countering abilities is WILD.
Can't counter a creature that's put in to play, it wasn't cast. Had to double check😂
@@leozmaxwelljilliumz3360 No, counter the ETB.
What about joda's cast trigger was also missed

Loved seeing everyone get to go off. It was almost a battle cruiser type of situation there. And I LOVE seeing an arstiocrats win.

What a fun game! I think you've arrived at a good place for the new intros/outros.

Did shea miss the exalted triggers at 29:10? After watching the ending I’m glad she missed them.
Nope, the artifact gives exaltant to walls only on upkeep
@matteomontebelli3374 she did, because it absolutely triggers at the beginning of combat. Don't think it changed the outcome though
Great game! I love the summary voice-over after the game! :)
Yall always look like your having a blast! Love it!!
Whoa, what a sweet game of EDH. Holy crap.
And Gina's commander is so powerful, I was surprised she didn't run away with it in mid game. Sick win!

I think I am missing something. What format is it? Why does Gina deck have access to all colours?
Because of the activated ability of Sisay her colour identity is WUBRG so she can play all 5 colours
Her commander has an ability that costs all five mana. The colors of the abilities of your commander affect color identity.
Oh yeah sorry my bad, rookie mistake. I didn't know about that rule at all. Thanks, now I learnt something new!!!!
To quote Sophie B. Hawkins - Damn!
correct me if i am wrong, but doesnt Blakes Vein Ripper Triggers go on the stack after CGBs?.. so they resolve first and he can kill everyone. So Blake should win? no?
CGB played some more creatures after the Vein Ripper, so Blake ended up with a baron and not a Vein Ripper on board.
Yo CGB where’s that hoodie from??? I can’t find it but I really want one!

Amazed that 4 Commander players play so few board wipes.
It's just a casual game where they are mostly trying to do cool things, not be competitive. It's a LITTLE weird but not like tremendously so IMO.
Not great to wipe your own board. They play at pubstomp level so it shouldn't be as necessary.
