I'm imagining Sam looking at his undead wife and then looking back at their kids staring in horror behind him as he has to make the hardest decision in his life. He knows if it was just him he would let her feed on his flesh and accept his fate, but he needs to be there for his children. They already lost their mother, they can't lose both parents like this. So he grips his trusty cast iron pan as hot tears come streaming down his cheeks. He tells his kids to look away but they still hear the loud clang of metal meeting bone. Then again, and again, each time the sound getting duller and wetter. Finally, with a moanful wail Sam swings down a final time before collapsing to his knees, sobbing his wife's name between gasps for air. His children huddle around him sobbing and sniffling, mumbling mommy as he holds them in his arms.
Watching the first 2 turns I now realize the error in my ways and will deconstruct my Edgar deck and rebuild a vampire deck with another commander. What a toxic piece of vampire that is :D
Pretty sure there were 1 or 2 turns where Beezy could have killed a player or absolutely ruined other players' plans, but he kinda held back for the content. The culling ritual in particular would have fucked Jimmy up, would have killed the Cruel Celebrant, and would have removed all the goblin tokens.
it's not content, it's just how you play commander with friends lol why kill someone so they have to sit around and wait when everyone has 25+ life total? it's more interesting to keep everyone alive for as long as possible, without sacrificing your own chances too much.
Pretty sure Muxus was supposed to die when it blocked the pest. Ethereal Absolution in play makes him 3/3 and the pest was a 3/3 because of it and Mirari's Wake.
13:35 Edgar killing the goblin happens at first strike, so Beezy should have taken 2 more damage from the cruel celebrant growing before normal combat is dealt
Mia is a great player. Sure, she is playing Edgar, but she was very respectful and responsible with her aggro. She was fair and didnt bully anyone too much. She just made big things, and swung out. That turn 1 was so good. I predicted Viscera Seer, but I was happy to see how powerful she got so quickly! And Bloodlord Vaasgoth!?!? That is my pet card! Love that dude! Beezy had amazing interaction, and I really loved how balanced his deck was. Niv isn't easy to build super well, and I think Beezy did a great job. Great episode!
@25:45 come on dakota you saw him add it to his hand earlier in the game you should have known to kill Beezy when you had the chance with that goblin's silver bullet in hand
Nice game and nitpicking neards are awesome just like last time oh by the way if anyone is wonder what dakota was gonna try to do that would have killed him (43:27) It was Skirk Fire marshal it deals 10 damage to everything(creatures/players) if you tap 5 goblins he was at 11 life so two activations would have killed him (he would only have 2 activations but even with that mia and jimmy would have survived that since they were at 23)
Man… ultra pro have some of the worst sleeves around. They have a terrible shuffle feel, lack durability and they are more expensive than dragon shield. For the newer players.
For sleeves I'm definitely a Gamegenic guy, but boy do I love the Mana 7 playmats from Ultra Pro, too bad the red and black ones are sold out everywhere
Disagree. Ultra pro eclipse sleeves are my favorite. Dragon shields have such sharp corners and don’t slide as well. Ultra pro art sleeves are terrible
Katanas all the way man. Better shuffle feel than anything else and can take a beating. Pair them with dragon shield inners and you've got the perfect shuffling decks
So not throwing one of the beast withins at either the blade or the celebrant seemed like an odd choice, nice start kinda turns into a mush of a finish
Classic command zone. Good example for that was killing some random dragon instead of miraris wake. Just let the 5c good stuff pile go untouched for 5 turns and watch.
I know she didn't win in the end, but I was actually losing my mind that removal was being pointed at anything other than Master of Dark Rites on Mia's board early on...
Really happy to see the Nitpicking Nerds back on Extra Turns. I especially liked how the last Extra Turns they were on was a budget battle, then BZ goes and plays an original dual land in this episode that costs more than the last decks combined
23:37 Any idea why attacks happened that way? Like the rest of the table I’m a little confused. I thought the vampire player would get hit for more. Then again the goblin player doesn’t care about one large creature.
Always wondered why my playgroup hated my Edgar M. Deck, now I know why. Also crazy how back in the day my LGS would complain about how no one wanted to buy the Edgar M. Precon
Man I'm was SO HOPING that beezy had an inkshield or deflecting palm for that massive cruel celebrant. Would've been hilarious. Also I feel like Dakota could have healed so much if he utilized that basilisk collar some more...
That's pretty much all games in this channel. It's especially bad when they start "politicking" which is pretty much "I'll help you win if you let me be 2nd place" and gives them a bigger lead.
@Dark-Pikachu1 Threat assessment is something you have to learn and experience by yourself. In this case, attacking Mia after they dismantled her engine while Beezy paid 10 life for Mirari Wake was genuinely infuriating. That was the moment that they had one more turn, because Beezy had everything set up, and his commander is just card advantage. Letting him untap was going to end the game, which it did because he had such a commanding lead that no one could do anything about it.
Edgar Markov being fast... I expected nothing less. I love how my friend will try to downplay his Edgar vampire tribal but it plays out as fast as Mia's ;p LOL
Sam having to block his zombified wife is a special kind of messed up. Incredible game all around.
Agreed. Just about the most horrifying ending to a LOTR alternate universe

Groovy.
Up to this point I had only heard whispers and horror stories about Edgar Markov. Now that I've seen it in action... gyat dayum.
Love the nerds, and Dakota seems like a great dude to play against. No salt when all his goblins got destroyed twice! Great game
“I will put Samwise on Rosie Cotton.” 😂
well that is how hobbits are made
Pretty sure that’s the first time in history that Niv Mizzet chump-blocked a Cruel Celebrant. 😂
Watching the first 2 turns I now realize the error in my ways and will deconstruct my Edgar deck and rebuild a vampire deck with another commander. What a toxic piece of vampire that is :D

Actually i found that annoying but i guess you are right. Content🤷♂️
@@Open2eyes You proably shouldn't watch because they usually play for content
I havent watched their content in a while and this was a good reminder why. Such terrible threat assessment all around.
it's not content, it's just how you play commander with friends lol
why kill someone so they have to sit around and wait when everyone has 25+ life total?
it's more interesting to keep everyone alive for as long as possible, without sacrificing your own chances too much.
Dakota seems chill af would love to play a game with him
that was the biggest cruel celebrant ive ever seen
That early despark play was honestly sick. I love combos so much lol
Pretty sure Muxus was supposed to die when it blocked the pest. Ethereal Absolution in play makes him 3/3 and the pest was a 3/3 because of it and Mirari's Wake.
I'm glad i'm not the only one that thought that
I just now realized that the Muxus secret lair is the same art as my favorite playmat and I love it
13:35 Edgar killing the goblin happens at first strike, so Beezy should have taken 2 more damage from the cruel celebrant growing before normal combat is dealt
Yeah, noticed that, was about to comment the same thing. Glad I was not the only one who noticed.
Love the nitpicking nerds thanks for bringing them back.
That Niv mizzet deck was really well played and well built. Also we didn't see any particularly mean cards. Excellent build.
Mia is a great player. Sure, she is playing Edgar, but she was very respectful and responsible with her aggro. She was fair and didnt bully anyone too much. She just made big things, and swung out. I literally yelled at my screen; "That was turn 3!? Wtf Mia!"
Edgar is dumb
Yea but that was the proper threat assessment cuz all those vamps with bloodthirst 3 woulda been bad
Not just Turn 3, a Turn 3 with a Black Lotus trigger on a stick.
@@hanschristopherson8056 my favorite card and my favorite deck lmao
Jimmy sure loves his Samwise Gamgee deck. I think this is the third video
Are you saying he brought the deck back for a second helping?
I must say, I created my own deck not long ago and its also one of my favorites
found it ironic that Samwise killed Rosie Cotton considering they marry
I mean, Beezy clearly liked his deck, too.
What other video did he play it on? I don’t remember. Did he do more? This video was pretty boring. Was hoping to see the deck do more.
@25:45 come on dakota you saw him add it to his hand earlier in the game you should have known to kill Beezy when you had the chance with that goblin's silver bullet in hand
Joe Cherries still punching the air
?
LMAO
OH SO, THATS A VAMPIRE DECK !
So great to see the Nitpicking Nerds again! Great episode and it was cool to see an artist playing again
10:06 not going lie any one else thinking those plains that jimmy has kinda looked like forest too
yes, very confusing. Cool art but not very functional
This is why I refuse to use those lands, they all look like forests
Yeah, so confusing. like the innistrad lands I'd only use these in a mono coloured deck.
It's about time Wizard of Barge got a feature!
I've been following his art since long before he got his secret lair. So stoked to see this match.
Shoulda played Slogurk 😂😂😂
im so curious what the "nobody wins" option was going to be by Wizard of Barge
Just had a look at the decklist. It was most likely Skirk Fire Marshal
I assumed this as well. The fire marshal with a Basilisk Collar would have been 👌
I think in his spot he should draw the game tbh. It’s prob the best he is getting
@@dougisacatyeah but then they wouldn’t have a video
I thought he had a chandras ignition. Seems he don’t
Holy shit Beezy that is one of the most adaptive decks ive seen on the channal nice win 💯
Mia is playing so focused and clean.

DAYUM, Beezy! That was an amazing game. Great job, everyone. That could have gone a dozen different ways. ❤
27:42 jimmy knows that vampire won’t die from act 😆
Mia outta the gate super fast, n Beezy keeping pace to offset her. 👏👏👏
Holy. Shit.
My favorite MTG artist and my favorite MTG content creators getting together for a game?! ❤
What a game! Always a great episode with the nerds! ❤ Great job everyone involved
For extra turns or even game knights, you guys should include the turn count somewhere :)
Mia is a damn menace haha. What a fun game
Well, maybe haste or lifelink. Sure, some vampires have menace, but that’s an exception. 🤪
So Jimmy really said "Hol up let me do nothing at all"
Like usual
The start of Mia was epic. That Dark Ritual maker is OP! Is Pestilence also in that deck? Would fit perfectly.
Well well, this is a sweet surprise for today
Hey man, you should get on the show as well!
Mia got off to such a fast start. That was really impressive
I need the nitpicking needs on a Game Knight. Command zone and Nitpicking Nerds is the best MTG duo to watch.
Dakota looks exactly like you'd expect him to from that art. I didn't expect him to be so chill and awesome to be around, though.
Really happy to see the Nitpicking Nerds back on Extra Turns. I especially liked how the last Extra Turns they were on was a budget battle, then BZ goes and plays an original dual land in this episode that costs more than the last decks combined
Glad Game Knights support proxies. I saw that guy casually play an Underground Sea and I thought…hmmmm, way to support Hewlett-Packard.
Mia''s voice is so soothing (she's murdering everyone at turn 2)😊
Dakota went back on his deal with Mia and paid the price lol
Glad to see a Niv Mizzet Jegantha deck. Was definitely rooting for Beezy.
I'm so proud Mia pulled an Edgar Markov in this episode! I'm running almost the same deck as hers whenever I play commander with my friends. 😂
"My current plan will kill me as well." Is the most mono red thing I've ever heard lol
Broooo Wizard of the Barge playing my favorite version of my favorite commander!?!? Muxus is best! Wow! Such Goblin!
Such a good episode! Great job everybody
Loved Mia's Vampire deck.
49:43 "Samwise kills Rosie Cotton" 😱😭
Yoooo! I just got my first Wizard of Barge shirt the other day. The bad loot shirt. It’s so sick!
COMMMMMMAANNDDDD ZZOOOOONNNEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
DROP THE TRICKY TERRAIN PRECON UPGRADE GUIDE, AND MY LIFE IS YOURS.
Have most of the Secret Lairs in my ooze deck and goblin deck. Love the artworks. Please make more! :D

45:58 it has become abundantly clear that earlier prioritizations were correct.
The wake is very good
40:14 “I need to keep something back” like beezy didn’t just reveal a culling ritual last turn lmao.
Great game, lots of back and forth, was weird not having Jimmy on the mono-Red deck though!
Wizard of Barge owes Adventure Time Money
Smooth playing beezy beast mode
Guests are top tier. Everyone likes Goblins.
Every once and a while I get tempted to make an Edgar deck, then I see it in action and remember why I don't.

Didnt muxus die blocking the 3/3 pest because it gets -1/-1? What did i miss?
I find it ironic how back in the “commanders we hate playing against” episode Jimmys was Edgar Markov and yet here he is 😂❤️
@@ImKhione just because someone hates playing against a deck doesn't mean they're instantly going to say no if a guest has the deck
Today in things I never expected to hear on Extra Turns:
"I will put Samwise on Rosy Cotton".
Keep up the amazing work love the vids
Bah, I was promised the Nitpicking Nerds, Amber and Miso, not their human spokespuppets! Bah I say! (Great episode!)
Nice Muxus hit, with 38 lands in a goblin deck what was everyone expecting 😂😂😂
Imagine if Jimmy was piloting it, would have grabbed 6 goblins every time.
beezy is a deckbuilding mastermind
what happened to the "threat assessment concept" in this game ?
Let’s all support Dakota’s Magic cards!
Such a fun game to watch!
Never seen the life gain from Food be so important before...
Nit picking nerds guy has some interesting hair. He’s rockin a full Beavis.
Ayee NN again, lets go!
At around 18:40 to 21:00 beezy tapped his mana confluence 3x in 1 turn but did not take a damage each time he tapped it
He has an urborg In play 10:14
When are you doing the omo deck upgrade? Been waiting for it, only precon I got from this set.
As an artist, having my art on mtg cards would be such a dream. Maybe someday
I knew i wasnt going crazy hearing splatoon charger sfx
Not 100% but at 26:30 wouldn't Dakota's commander be a 3/3 and have traded with that pest?
Fun fact. The company I work for makes the plastic that is used for the liquid IV tubes.
WIZARD OF THE BARGE?!?!?!? Hopefully we see some more of him!!!
The threat assessment in this game is abysmal
