I have been so excited to watch every video on this car. I owned 15 crx's when I was younger. But my first one and the last one I owned as well I wanted to do this build back in the early 2000s. After driving my buddy's eg with a j-series, i bought a power wagon for the drivetrain and was about to buy a j-series. Then, I had to sell everything off.
I had a 1991 CRX SI. Drove the wheels off that car and even did 2 engine swaps while I owned it. I always dreamed what it would like with a V6, let alone a Twin Turbo. But I have to say it was a squirrelly driving because of the super short wheel base and weak suspension. I spun out doing uncontrolled, 360's off the road even on dry days. Super cool build guys.
This car was real nice in person when I saw it yesterday. Clearance between the rear exhaust was tight. I wondered how much that engine would rock under acceleration and if it would hit. As always a very tidy build. The welds alone were top notch.
Sema annoys the crap out of me. It seems everyone waits until the last minute to start the sema builds. And all of them rush and race for sema while trying to do their best but screwing up or only half finishing the builds. My opinion and I'm entitled to it just like others can dislike me for hating sema
@@BrainsofFrank unfortunately that’s the name of the game when your working with sponsors and partners and your trying to build a car in one year the last little crunch is always the hardest.
There have been plenty of builds where the builder MISSED the deadline for SEMA and then barely made it the next year or not at all. Building something amazing AND doing it in a timeline that doesn't take multiple long years increases the accomplishment of the build.
