Man that little thing is gonna be an absolute Monster! I really wasn't expecting a Winters Quick Change and inboard brake setup, this build is definitely over the top. A turbo J Series in a DeLorean would be crazy too, get some BoostedBoiz stuff going on.
I like this build man it looks good! Now I love how the rear dif is built into the cage. That's going to help with handling overall. I'm definitely interested in this build, man. I love the CRX because it's a hatchback! I love hatchbacks and station wagons. I have always thought that they deserved more performance and handling, so I love most builds by people who are giving them the love the factory never gave them! So yeah, the DeLorean needs needs a compound turbo J swap! 1200hp or go home to rethink your own understanding of what's cool with engine j/k 😂 but seriously, yeah, do a j swapped DeLorean!
Bro a twin turbo V6 Awd Crx that’s a dream built for me. Great project. I will built a replica to the Honda Legend max RR. Prototype .this legend has a V8 awd but this is close enough lol.
I have thought for a while that a J-series would be a very reliable platform for a DeLorean. Another option would be a Volvo turbo 5-cylinder which would be a little more on the "purist" vein, given the original PRV engine. Those 5-cylinders sound amazing, like a baby V-10.
@@PRZJ91 Back purging was something that was initiated by the food industry if you were welding food grade stainless steel pipe the inside had to be perfectly smooth so no bacteria would grow on any sharp edges or crevices on the inside of the pipe it was never about strength although I will say it will be a tad stronger it is not necessary in a automotive application with exhaust gasses. Furthermore I have cars on the road for over 9 years with headers that were not back purged. As long as you weld the exterior of the pipe properly you will be just fine. 💪🏻
No to swapping out the LS for an Honda J.... that's crazy talk. If you build the correct exhaust manifolds for the turbo LS for the Delorean, you can get the pulses in sync and it'll sound crazy AF, plus have the HP and _TQ_ that a J can't compete with.... think '60s Ford GT40 with turbos...but you really don't need to do all that crossing and snaking, you only need to merge 2 from each bank to get them in sync.
@@mikelmarion we have a quafe all-wheel-drive sequential gearbox originally for a K series with an adapter plate to the V6, and then we’re running a winners quick change in the rear
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! TOTALLY AWSOME ENGINEERING!!!! I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH MY TUNER FAMILY!!!!

@@t0ph3rstreams13 yea crx is one of my favorite cars. I think a j series build is in order for me in the near future.
That enginebay is gonna be cramped tho with 2 big turbos, really coming along nicely !

So far the exhaust looks immaculate! Turbo J series in the delorean would Rip. Hardly any boost and those engines make 500hp easy.

@@JoshuaOrchard they sure do. 5 cyl all the way.
how strong will that manifold be with autogenous welding some of the welds and not back purging?
