    Sensible review.
You are the only one who talked about the general usage rather than revolving around the concept of best specs.

Yes. I stopped seeing reviews because most of the reviews simply read through spec sheets instead of telling the actual real life experiences but this one is different.
However I would like to see how SD 765 does with Camera HDR and Video Recording (+Stabilization) at 4k. This should be an essential thing among all midders/upper-midders but previous generation SD 730G struggled to keep up at max res.

Excellent, thorough review. Love the Velvet. Glad to see LG stepping up the marketing. They make reliable, solid phones albeit a tad less flashy, and are regularly overlooked.
I’ve been an avid cellphone user since the late 80s and over the years have gone through close to 70 phones of all makes, shapes, sizes and operating systems (still have about half of them in my collection) and am happy to see LG come out with this new iteration. Having taken my first plunge with an LG 2 years ago (G7) I’ve been very impressed with the phone’s performance, durability and dependability. Based on reviews of subsequent models I expect nothing less from the Velvet.
While not as flashy as some of the other phones I love the thinner, tall form factor and LGs insistence on keeping the headphone jack. I really like my iPhone XR (which I use for work) but the experience is different (Apple being Apple). Using KLWP I’m going to skin my home page as I’ve done on my G7. I expect this will provide me with a near perfect experience.
I’ll definitely be looking into the Velvet when it releases not because my G7 is slow (Snapdragon 845) or my battery is suffering (79% capacity after 2 years of daily use) but because I want the dual screens and the ability to use a stylus.

loved your take on this phone that would be again so underated and overlooked and once the likes of samsung , iphone and huaweis bring their new shiny phones out , once again LG will be forgotten. All other reviews that i have watched about this phone from big youtubers, really the negativity was unreal! made me reslly wonder if other companies are paying them to not have s good thing to say about LG. would this phone have been a samsung , everybody would have been putting a Red Carpet out for it and calling it the phone of the year probably like they do with Oneplus which never had a decent camera after all these years. Your take on this phone was very fair, giving the pros and the cons but always seeing the good aspects within this device more than the not so good ones. From now on , you are my favourite gadget reviewer as you are fair . keep up the good job. 👍🏽

Thank you so much for this excellent review. This is the second GadgetMatch video I've seen (LG V60 being the first which earned you a sub) and I have to say that I'm very impressed. You have hands down offered the best reviews of any smartphone reviewer on TH-cam that I have come across so far (albeit I am new to the game).
Having said that, this is not my gadgetmatch. I'm looking more for better cameras, better processing, and better sound. I really love the way the V60 seems from your review and I think that phone is my gadgetmatch. If I was on a budget, I would jump for this one in a heartbeat. I could spend $1000+, but tbh I'd rather save money and it feels like overkill. I think the V60 will cover everything I hope for and more.
I'm so glad I found this channel. I'll for sure be coming back.

And to get the second screen is more money and you have to jump through a few hoops to get it! I get that the Velvet is a little lower on the totem pole but it still came with quite a few extras and yes a real nice box for the money! But yet with At&t, it doesn't come with the second screen and last i checked, you can't get it directly from At&t along with another $100.00 bucks! Been LG loyal since the LG Optimus V(my first phone) im now on the V50, rule of thumb with LG phones is to skip 1 or 2 generations before upgrading since they tend to improve too little after each generation.
Skipping the V60 and this one.
Lets see what the V70 brings, I NEED the Aux jack hopefully they keep it.

    • @nilskiemle9556

I do agree. There's no need for extremely powerful processor if you only use your phone for social media browsing and casual games like mobile legends since midrange processors can pretty handle those things.

I grabbed the LG V60 Thinq Dual Screen and I'm actually impressed and I absolutely love it.
$649 for the phone itself, and only $699 for the dual screen attachment variant.
Yeah it isn't 120hz, and it doesn't have 4K, but do I really need that?
    Nah. Not really.
