I like the LG UI as well. Its the next best thing after Samsung's UI. Pure Android is the worst. Dull and such a boring OS. HTC UI use to be good till they faded away.
The LG UI is awesome. People complain about not getting software update. But the thing is that the UI has those features even before OS updates consider them. I find it appealing and not cartoony and boring like SAMSUNG and Google's Stock vision...forget iOS altogether

The santiser thing for the phone is actually really good and useful during this pandemic. More companies should invest in these kinds of products. Smartphones carry billions of bacteria daily so good way of cleaning and removing them. Great review 2 👍

This is probably going to be the upgrade for me when it gets to the U.S. Coming from a big phone, a Note 9, it has everything I am used to and plus there is 5G.
I'm thinking the same coming from the S9. Only thing is I can get the S20 direct from Samaung right now for $599 via trade in... so may as well stick with a flagship. This LG is beautiful I must say

I really want this over the v60 because it's an edge screen and the dual case is waaaayyy better. But the v60 has way more battery and better specs. So I'm stuck between these 2.

This looks like a good phone for multitasking, I may look into purchasing this model if the battery life is excellent.

@@supriyokumar8802 I’d say performance and quality wise they’re not as good.. BUT, for lg’s pricing theyre definitely worth it, you can pick this up for $400 CAD where as most Samsung/iPhones you have to pay a decent price for good preformance.. not to mention yes this lg has a 1080p display but I guarantee that’ll help the battery in the long run, if you want a good phone for a good price this would be perfect for you.. if you want an amazing phone and don’t exactly have a budget then I’d say just go for an s10+ or maybe even the galaxy s20 FE or regular s20

Subscribed. I'm pretty confused between the Velvet and Note 10 plus. I'm gonna buy one in December this year in Canada. Those are the only 2 brands I can think of when buying phones.

Is the depth sensor really considered as an additional lens? I'd rather have a separate telephoto lens versus digital zoom.

I just bought this phone today. It was on sale at my local at&t store for $654. It seems to be very on par with my wife's Galaxy S20+
I know you posted this one year ago, bit are you still using the phone? If so. How has your experience been?
@@chrispez_lo i am still using it...its been a great phone and have loved using it. I wish i was able to utilize the dual screen addon to fully utilize it to its fullest capacity. My only complaint is that about 5-6 months in, the vibration went completely out and hasnt worked since. I am ready to get a phone with a better camera. The camera on the Velvet is just ok. Its fine if you just capture random moments here and there, but i want to take HD photos of my motorcycle. Ive used apps like snapseed to edit and improve photos, but i would like a phone with a better camera. I do appreciate that it has a headphone jack. TBH thats one of my biggest reason i decided on it and it is VERY convenient in an age where headphone jacks are almost extinct. All in all, i am very pleased with the phone. It very much felt like a great successor to my Galaxy S8+
@@RevBomb600 aside from the vibration motor problem. It seems like a good upgrade for me. You see, I've been using a pixel 4 and it works well, sometimes. It overheats, the battery lasts not even 4 hours, and i always liked LG. I wanted an LG phone with a curved screen, and a beautiful design. Even though the processer is a bit of a downgrade, the Snapdragon 765g is more efficient. And in comparison videos of the two chips they basically always say that you can't tell unless they are next to each other. And the display looks incredible! Im excited to switch even more now 🙂.
To add to that, im not a camera guy. I take pictures, but i don't need them to be high quality. And the front camera looks fine in my opinion. So i see no issue!
@@chrispez_lo ya man...and maybe mine just was a fluke incident....the only other downside is theres little options when it comes to phone cases. You will have to order any from online if you want one. In the year ive had it, I've only found 1 store that sold cases for it and they were just basic, nothing special, rubber cases. The display is actually really good IMO and i actually LOVE the front camera placement. If you're not really a photo taking kind of person, it will be a great upgrade for you. Like i said, the camera is fine. Ive seen worse on better phones. You might even be slightly impressed with it. But after a year im noticing my battery isnt lasting quite as long as it once did. Also ive never had a problem with it overheating. It also has wireless charging, which is always a nice feature in a non flagship phone

I wish i.could find the dual screen for my at&t LG velvet.. its impossible to find one not even at&t sells them anymore i love my velvet so much my favorite phone ever..
The LG Velvet has such impressive name and design. OLED Screen and USB-C cable speaks excellent security. Its slim design is easy on hand for anyone regardless of gender and age. As time progressed smart phones at its solid-state design got stronger and each user have gotten more familiar to their phone.

hello can i have a question? can you confirm is this really dual sim? the card is hybrid dual sim slot but doesnt support dual sim connectivity. the other tray is only meant for sd card.

Hey, just watched your video. I just ordered the velvet, but have not been able to find the dual screen case for it. Would you happen to know where I could find it. I've tried Amazon, ebay, and LG support. No luck I bought the T-Moble but GSM unlocked version. Any tips or help would be much appreciated!
I just got this phone, but I noticed that there is no charging light, or am I missing something
Anybody know how to turn on the wireless charging on it? I tried to charge it wirelessly with my CO workers note 20 ultra (since it has reverse charging) and it wont charge. We used another coworkers iPhone on his note 20 ultra and it did reverse charge but not on my velvet. Does something need to be turned on?

**Missed Camera function on the V60 and Velvet just Fyi. Holding the "1x" icon while the camera is open opens this manual zoom radial (half circle looks like a protractor) to get more accurate intervals in between the 3 default zoom settings... I've had this phone for a bit now... My personal opinion is that is does everything "very well" but nothing "Excellent/ outstanding" except for some more standard features... Both in spec, and operation & features. 🙏🏽

Squared edges & a hinge that'll reduce the gap between 2 screens is all it needs & may be a stylus!

I had many LG before and i'm not fan of Samsung but i have to say Galaxy S10E is the best phone and killer in all way, Just watch all my videos which i took it by S10E, day and night and you will understand it

Not a bad looking phone by itself, but the dual screen case isn't my thing. I do however like the innovation of a phone that unfolds into a tablet size screen (i.e. Galaxy Fold).
This is an option for multitasking like the GFold
