This is my first time watching your video. I have a question if I were to double or triple the recipe. Do I double and triple the baking powder water mix as well to infuse in the dough after the first proofing? My buns always fall so I would like to try this recipe for my kids. Thank you
Also wheat starch? Can I use regular corn starch or does it make a difference to the taste and texture of the buns? I can not find wheat starch only corn starch is what they have where I’m at
I made this and followed the recipe but the dough didn’t turn out smooth and elastic it was tough and hard to work with. What would be the reason for this.
Seeing this makes me hungry 🤤
What can I substitute for the wheat starch ? Your early reply will be appreciated. I made your baked buns n it’s yummy ! Good recipes!
I’m not sure of a good substitute unfortunately. But there might be good resources online that can guide you.

Hi Karen! Yes I would double or triple all ingredients if you want to make double or triple the batch
I did triple the recipe so also triple the baking powder and water mix.

@@karensimonson3868 I’ve never tried it with that. It may affect the texture though as cornstarch does not have any gluten
Yummmmmm
Hi there ! This bun will be soft until next day without warm them up or we have to warm up?
I would warm it up after removing from fridge

My bao was not smooth it was rough looking after steaming
Why do you have to leave a hole in them. What is the reason
Not totally necessary but it’s part of the usual aesthetic. Also allows some steam to be released
