Really i would like travel there but is not economical posible, Argentina is going down🤣🤣🤣 dollar climbed and our money falled, but we wait change the economical situation.
I was inspired by your videos to do my 1st solo trip at 61 yrs old. I chose Greek mainland, overlanding to Albania and was completely blown away by it...friendly people, stunning scenery, and an interesting history. Many thanks for the inspiration, and I am watching your newer adventures, whilst planning where to go next.
Beautiful vídeo friends you are great, i love like you both explain and show all, beautiful the landscape, my like always, greetings from Argentina 😀🇦🇷
That burger looks absolutely delicious! We are heading to Albania with friends next suterday and we are going to stay at Sarande for few days, so this video is very useful for me. Thanks a lot for many recomandations, how to spent our time there.
Haha I am Albanian and shamefully I must admit I have never been there but, it is on my list. By the way I know in summer time it gets crazy crowded there and prices are a bit salty haha and I say this by US standards. I thought you guys had a splash in those beautiful turquoise waters!
We haven't seen Butrint yet, great review, we'll have to go there! Naomi... ha ha Sponge Bob song! Not my generation, but made me think of nephews and nieces, who doesn't know the song now!! Oh, and next time you are back in Tirana....Delibros has some great burgers...They are moderately newer, hand crafted sandwiches and so delicious....
Butrint is expensive because it's the main site in Albania, holding a lot of national history. It was originally built by the Trojans/Dardanians (Kosovars) after 1.200 BC which is when Troy was destroyed, which was on the northwest Turkish coast, hence the name of the Dardanelles straight. The large cyclopean walls are from that period, the other buildings with smaller stones/bricks are from the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines who built over it. Butrint was supposed to be the new Troy, Rome, but was abandoned because the oracle of Apollonia advised so, and Dardanians went to Kosovo while a smaller part led by Aeneas went on to built Rome in 800 BC after a journey around the Mediterranean. It has a Zen feeling because cities used to be built on places with a certain positive energy and certain shape such as Rome or Berlin. That was the beginning of the Celtic expansion from central Europe to Western Europe led by Trojan princes, as the myths and legends tell us.
@@virtual_travel_worldwide ... sure you believe this? this is a bunch of nonsense from some uneducated Albanians who think they are the center of the world.... history from ancient greece from rome they mix it all together in a blender and come out with albanian history..... which exists but is definitely not what the friend above describes... by the way, Butrint was an ancient Greek colony, like many other cities of the Adriatic... next time, look at wikipedia, UNESCO, Britannica etc.
You have shown the Greek inscriptions about obtaining freedom from the Roman lord, but where is the symbolism in the form of lion paws, showing the beginning of the rebirth of the soul in the constellation Leo?
Thanks for watching Ed! Yes unfortunately we didn't get a lot of research done before this video as it was pretty much spontaneous, but an incredibly beautiful place for sure. We are dying to go back already! -Luke & Naomi

Excuse me, you went To Butrint without googling what is Butrint 😁 the modt remarkable ancient site In Albania.
Ein deutscher Bus in Albanien kommt nicht selten vor...😅
I’m surprised you didn’t mention how old the ruins are and what people lived there. It is kind of the point of the whole place.
