I lived in sarande 4 months ago for 2 months on the water their on the boardwalk. I had a 2 bedroom condo for 500 Euro. Very new and modern beautiful place. Beautiful place. ❤️
I stayed in Saranda 6 weeks last summer and it gets much much busier at that time. We enjoyed sitting at a beachside cafe and watching the mega yachts fueling up. Apparently Albanian marine diesel is very cheap so there would be a new yacht nearly every day. Jeff Bezos 446' yacht Flying Fox was one of them. A very impressive boat. Corfu is just 30 minutes away and very nice. You'll love it.
You have to visit 1. Kalaja e Lekuresit , most beautiful view when Naomi has her Birthday ... 2. Blue Eye / syri kalter 3. Butrint 4. Ksamil Island I was last year in Saranda and it was the most beautiful place i ever was Regards from Vienna
Great video of Saranda guys. Was there last summer just for 2 days and yes Saranda is beautiful. Been there many times first time was in the 80's and back then, Saranda was different without the promenade and the concrete buildup. Upper part of town was all pine trees. It was so charming although it is today as well. If you crave for traditional food I suggest Beqos Restaurant. Make sure sometime during summer you make it back up north to visit Theth and Valbona! You should not miss that.
When you were asking for restaurant recommendations in the video, you were next to Marini Restaurant. It is across the street from the Jericho Restaurant and bar. Marini’s has a nice menu and indoor and outdoor seating. Very nice couple own and operate this restaurant. Check out their place online.
Try..... Taverna Beni Peshkatari .... or RESTAURANT BEQUA SARANDE...very good prices and super tradicional food....have nice stay and as always good vibes...looking forward for the next video
Great footage of Saranda - Nalu! Did you guys encounter any wild Monk Parakeets in Saranda, Tirana or Shkodra? Are there any? Lately wild parakeets are all over Europe like London, Athens, Amsterdam, Rome, Paris and Madrid.
Maan the sun in Albania during Spring is best SUN EVER :D , also that's the IONIAN sea not the Adriatic , they sepparate somewhere in Vlora. Also Dhermi is the best beach of Albania so it's kinda expensive there ^^ , since they are trying to make it an "Elite" spot
For a great variety of cheap traditional Albanian food, you must try "TE BEQUA". It is located in the center where the intercity busses stop. For fresh fish etc. you must go to "TAVERNA KAPITENI" that is where fishermen themselves go to eat seafood. For mussels you must go to Butrint lake at "The Mussel House", which probably has not yet opened. There is a huge mussel farm in Lake Butrint. For the best ice cream: Bar Restaurant Plazhi I Ri Caci and Pizza. That is the oldest ice cream shop in Saranda and the guys who make it have been doing that since the communism time and if you go to the first floor ask for the old style ice cream not from the new machines. It is a surprisingly delicious experience. P.s. when ordering fish or sea food (always choose cooked versions not the raw ones or "crudo" as they call it from Italian language influence, so not to risk food poisoning with the raw sea food).
Wishing I was there 🤩🥰 soooo beautiful ❤️ great video and great for holiday ideas that possibly would not have thought of before. I'm off to work on my summer bod 😃👍🤞❤️
Good to know that the prices go up a lot at the high season. We're planning to go there in early June, so we'll have to factor the seasonality into our plans.
Aw I will be arriving just after you guys leave. Anyways keep up the great content. You are both so genuine and love the channel. Cant wait for more food reviews from Saranda ;)
Thank you for sharing!! Coming from Saranda I would loved for this video if you guys could show more of the city itself rather than having the camera facing yourselves most of the time. Please do not get me wrong. Beautiful video. But wanted to see more of the surrounding. Hope you enjoyed the experience of it . ♥️🇦🇱
Thank you! As always, a great video. Saranda, for the last year at least, has been my preferred place to retire to from the UK. However, there's one thing it hasn't got (as far as all my prior research says), and that's a swimming pool, indoor or outdoor, that's heated throughout the winter season. This is a non-negotiable requirement for my wife, who swims every day. In the unlikely event that you do come across one, please can you include a mention of it in one of your videos. Many thanks! 😃
Welcome to paradise guys, been here 3 weeks now, difficult to leave... Let's meet on the promenade soon, i can give uou some tips, places etc. And introduce you to some of the locals ive met so far. That akullore (ice cream) place would be a great place to meet, let's arrange a time and day there. Also check out saranda experience ONLINE, Bledi the guy who runs it, knows EVERYWHERE and EVERYONE, does tours to out of the way places.
Let us know if Saranda, Albania is on your travel list for this SUMMER!!!
It might just be, looks amazing 😍
I’m coming for a month in May. I just binge watched your videos. I’m looking forward to it!

There is also the village of Lukova (Luke's village lol), the least commercial village in the riviera, and quite close to Saranda. Quite underrated.
Great footage of Saranda - Nalu! Did you guys encounter any wild Monk Parakeets in Saranda, Tirana or Shkodra? Are there any? Lately wild parakeets are all over Europe like London, Athens, Amsterdam, Rome, Paris and Madrid.
The weather looks very good

Yeesh, we had freezing rain last night! We didn't get to the "Riviera" last fall so we MUST get down there when we return. (Hint.)
Is the food more Greek in influence? We were surprised that there wasn't more garlic, given the Italian history.
Yes! Greek & Italian!
BTY.....you are in the Ionian Sea in Saranda.
Butrint is sublime … and just a hop, skip and jump.
That bunker would be rented out for 2000 a month in Dublin Ireland lol .. seriously..they d put a few students in there and call it an apartment
Are there things you wish you would have known before coming to Albania regarding travel?
We can certainly do a video all about this if that is something you would like!
Luke & Naomi
@@TwoMadExplorers I would definitely love it but it's not up to me unfortunately :D hehe
It's great till mid June to mid September ,,,,,then good again mid September on ....

Yes for sure, are you on Instagram?
We could arrange a time over there 👍🏼
@@TwoMadExplorers not on Instagram, twitter or WhatsApp only, or the same name on Facebook or arrange a time and day to meet at the ice cream place.
ARB in Marjanas apartments very nice place and very beautiful and clean 👌🥰
🔥🔥👏
Ionian sea not Adriatic. Vlora is the boundary between the 2 seas
Ahhh whoops!
Inflation makes life for locals expensive, but cheaper for foreigners.
💞🥰🤩
Saw nothing of saranda as the camera was pointed at your faces the whole time
👌👌👏👏🤗🤗🇦🇱🇦🇱
@4:19 you said Adriatic Sea. Correction: Ionian Sea. 🙃😃
