Thank you for starting another playthrough of Daggerfall. I always considered this a Christmas game. I know, strange. I think it goes back to playing it a lot over the Christmas break when I was in high school. I think also part of it is driving the horse and buggy through a snow covered town with the holiday like music playing in the background. Who knows. Anyhow, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.
The intro with Emperor is one of best intros in games. Sets the mood perfectly, and even after all these years, the acting holds up. Love these streams, and hope to see next part soon.
If Daggerfall is such a great game, why does it only have 15 k followers on twitch compared to Morrowinds 100 k or Oblivions 220 k followers? lastly Skyrim has a whopping 2,5 million followers. There is a reason why other Elder Scrolls youtubers never have played Daggerfall like Fudgemuppet, Drewmora, Camelworks, Major Slack Attack or eso.

Its also much more complicated of a game. thats like saying the original xcom isn't that good because the newer games are more popular. Its just an older game and is less approchable to those who are used to the more modern titles.

Likewise all of those annoying streamers that have enormous fan bases mostly compromising of children are objectively better than someone like Zaric Zhakaron or other lesser known creators. I'm not even saying Daggerfall is the best ESO, just pointing out the flaw in your logic.
Greetings Zaric, I recently have become infatuated with Daggerfall, through the GOG cut. I will have to go back and set up the game as you have, campsites and calories is the immersive mod I need. Anyway, the GOG cut has been working well on my mid range pc, but I do freeze when I fast travel on extended play sessions. Thanks for making content on this game. I love it so far. 🍻

The kick at 3:10:33 is comedy gold. The timing of it with how he says "hell", plus the fact that both the horse and the armored man riding it get obliterated by a single kick...
6:55 Free Lancer is the term you're looking for. Free lance refers to a medieval mercenary who would fight for whichever nation or person paid them the most. Basically mercenaries for hire.
Fun thing about magic items in D&D, thinking back on the short aside about them in the video. In arguably one of the most famous beginner modules there's a cursed helmet that flips your alignment. I mean, to be fair though you should probably be suspicious of any helmets on an altar in a creepy evil temple.
The black screen at 2:15:00 ..I've had that happen too though in my case turning off Variant Npcs and Variant Residents in Roleplay Realism mod fixed it
I'm playing thru daggerfall unity it my first time. I just learned from this you can manually dodge. My build is bad, but I stumbled across the book witches for the stats so i'm trying my best, but I'm feeling pretty badly beaten down XD. I was doing great till lvl 5 when i'm supposed to meet medora and there are lichs and daedra I cannot harm XD. So i'm questing for something above dwarven! Edit. I ran past and made it to her... she said she trusts me but blunty i'm too weak ... Yea okay but mean. XD

I am a very casual rpg player and this looks fun for some reasons I really wanna play daggerfall now, despite me probably going “What do I do”? for a week
I feel as though having the Knight aspect should have required you to have at least one minor skill in the Athletics department, whether swimming or running, etc. The Knight background would have guaranteed Sas-i began at an early training age for fitness and endurance for fighting, as knights did. Something like Daedric knowledge or Thaumaturgy should have been interests she picked up along the way during her exploits in the early mid levels. Just my 2 cents.
Oh, that’s really cool! I completely missed that part some how! My apologies. That’s a good way to build her. I’m still a novice when it comes to Daggerfall. Being born in ‘90 I was just too young to have gotten into it at the time, but in 2001 I discovered Morrowind and became a lifelong Uber fan since. Daggerfall looks interesting in that It seems to have a lot of systems in place that it takes me 500+ mods to build into something like Skyrim. Especially the RP aspects and character creation depth.
You have to tell me how you get the cities looking so good outside at night. Your modlist doesn't show it. I've got improved interior lighting but that's just for interiors?
Play around with the graphics settings and mod configuration settings in the launcher? There's also a graphics menu in game when the game is paused, see the icon in the top corner.
Crazy how in 15 minutes you have higher armor gear than i do with 25+ hours into the game. Dream just released his 1.0 and the modders have not stopped this year, the game looks better than ever. Currently playing with 55 mods and loving it.

Turned the ambient lighting almost off in both the in-game launcher and the lighting mods.

That intro never gets old for me. First saw it back in 1995 on the DF demo CD-ROM. Still love it to this day.

30 hp/lvl is a crutch and you don't need it at all.

We've got the Athleticism Trait for Advantages/Disadvantages. You are going to see, Running, despite being a miscellaneous skill, going up quite fast.

Why can't you cook everything at once? Is the non-existent oven too small? lol
Yeah, I think I'm going to bug the developer about this, if you have a skillet you should be able to cook more than one at once.
