We religiously watched Bill Alexander on PBS. Even went to a class and painted a scene in the Alexander style. Have the two paintings hanging in our living room along with the book showing the original we were copying. It's from The Magic of Oil Painting by W. Alexander, A Walter T. Foster Publication, book #162, pages 6 & 7, ISBN (1990). Also got to see him lecture at a suburban shopping mall. He spoke for about three hours and never finished the painting! (It was on a canvas about 3 times the size usually used in the TV show.) Was a great experience. He had great charisma and was never boring! Glad to find this video on TH-cam.

He talks to the camera explaining his philosophy of life and painting, which I enjoy hearing, he has a lot of wisdom to impart. I can tell the passion he had for the art and it shows. It's wonderful to watch him paint... RIP to the great artists, but they encourage the artists of today to get out and paint something.
