Watching these videos, makes me feel joy because my grandfather passed away, and he Bob Ross was his favorite artist to watch. I watched these videos with him. These videos just help me go through the pain.

Bob Ross was one of the most talented men to ever walk the face of the earth. I loved watching him paint. Of course, then I wanted the painting!
God put a Happy little Bob right there just for you to have a friend. People like friends who teach them how to enjoy, create and relax.
Bob was more about relaxation and spirituality than attaining perfection in painting. He taught generations of people the relaxed little path to happiness.

Still, only the creator can tell the truth behind his vision. Sooner or later the real truth comes forth, after His death. Right. Sometimes it's relatively absurd, and absolutely insane. It amazes me how he never ran out of creativity, this series went on for so long and every episode was something new, he truly is talented
Love that brief moment where you go, "I don't know about this decision, Bob," which happened when he began the stream in this episode, but then he always pulls it off.

When i was small my mom would let me watch bob ross right before nap time. Thats all i remember. Now whenever i watch his show i get all mellow and my eyes get really heavy. I zone out on the colors and the sound of the brush. It makes me feel good and think of good warm happy times when life was measured in the seconds happening. So nice. Thanks Bob Ross. When ya see Mr Rodgers up there tell him i said hi and miss you guys. See ya again im sure. 😊

“Just a happy little tree.” Such an underwhelming way to describe absolutely beautiful trees.
Watching him paint is a real window into who he really was...... what a beautiful soul he must have had.
I've been painting in the Bob Ross style since 2014 and it's so interesting to me to see how Bob's style progressed from the early seasons to the later seasons. I don't know how clearly it comes through to the average viewer, but Bob refined his skills immensely over the years and in the later seasons managed to paint some truly remarkable pieces given his 27 minute time constraint. And then if you look at the instructional books Bob published, where he had all the time in the world, you can see that Bob truly matured into an absolute master of his craft.
He started simple for the people watching every season he would make it more challenging.
Bob always was on dutch tv around 11pm.

As an adult, who paints only slightly better than a 10 yr old child, I am always amazed how he could just look at a blank canvas and create such magic with a brush, all while speaking in a soft tone that forced my lab to go to sleep. He was a Picasso & a hypnotist, all in one
To be fair, he does a rough painting first. Then he does the one we see in the show, followed by a third more detailed painting for his gallery. I've been watching his show since I was a child in the 80s, and it really is very relaxing for me still.

Such an incredibly talented man who happily shared his knowledge with the world. My mother was an artist, and she and I would sit and watch Bob's show, with her painting right along with him. I draw now, never having taken up painting, but I like watching his videos yet today because I see a lot of things he does/did that help me improve my drawing technique.

It's wonderful to watch Mr. Ross painting his pictures. In them you know simplicity, and you are politely introduced to good manners, modesty, and the divine value of a skill so delicately shared. I can feel sad just knowing that when I was born the world seemed so much more organized and empathetic than it does today, and because of my young age, I missed all of that.
Anytime when I have a bad nightmare I wake up and watch some bob Ross to cheer me up.

A Great teacher,.. For those who are new to painting,.. & also for accomplished artists! Bob's techniques will take some practice to master... It looks easy,( some is) but will still take work to be done correctly. A lot of this can be applied to water color, or acrylic painting also.. Working on a "Wet Canvas",, is the key to blending...
