    Although Pro-Russia separatists have been largely driven out of Donetsk and Luhansk, they still control significant parts of eastern Ukraine. In this dispatch, VICE News correspondent Simon Ostrovsky goes hunting for separatists with Oleh Lyashko, a Ukrainian politician who placed third in the most recent presidential election. Ostrovsky embeds with Lyashko's personal security forces as they successfully track down Viktor Rybalko, a pro-Russia separatist who organized the referendum in Luhansk calling for independence and allegiance with Russia. What Lyashko does is technically illegal, but he believes that the police are not doing their job and has taken it upon himself to bring order back to eastern Ukraine.

      Congratulation you have just discovered America (sarcasm). In the EU, nationalism is hard fought, only in Ukraine is it a major part of government policy. There, they fought the Russians and their language very hard way since the collapse of the USSR, and no one in bloody EU minded. Now, Putin is dealing with it. Like it or not, that is the reality.

      that makes me wonder why everyone's first reaction wasn't to imediatelly google "Ukraine Neo-Nazi ethnic Russians" when Putin said it into the camera. Mistakes were made, i promise to google everything Putin says from now on. It's also not that hard. Try googling everything Trump says... noone could (or probably should) do that, but Putin says so little, i think it would just be common courtesy to give the guy like 10 minutes of our time and check what google (a US company by the way) has to say about his claims... he has nukes, so why not?

    • @mycommentpwnz
      @mycommentpwnz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      Idk much about this, but that's probably easier said than done. I've watched video's about these so-called separatists, and many of them are anarchists, who're ready to go to war & fight & die. They probably OUT NUMBER the police, OUT GUN the police, and 95% of the time the Ukranie military won't BE THERE to help the police. Essentially, the police are being asked to fight / kill / arrest their own country-men, for a government who is in total disarray.
      Some problems just don't have solutions. The chief of police took the easy-way out, and honestly, I don't blame him. I've been employed in high-level management positions before, in big corporations, and let me tell you, sometimes your superiors give you a task which they KNOW isn't possible. Yet, they do this as it shifts the blame from THEM to YOU.

Where in this video you've seen a Nazi, anti Jewish attitude??? My opinion is much different from yours, the Nazi propaganda was a smart move from the Kremlin... The pro Russian separatists in eastern UKRAINE want power=money, behind them is Putin and the oligarchs loyal to Putin! RUSSIANS HAVE BEEN BRAINWASHED ON THE WEST BEING AN ENEMY...
      THAT IS NOT TRUE!!! SMART RUSSIANS DON'T BELIEVE IN STORIES OF THE WEST BEING THE BAD WOLF... THAT'S UTTER NONSENSE, THE WEST IS PEOPLE LIKE ME AND I HAD A RUSSIAN WIFE... MR.BORIS SINCE YOU SPOKE ABOUT THE JEWISH...WHY DON'T YOU GIVE ME YOUR OPINION ON THE ISRAELI -PALESTINIAN ISSUE? THE PALESTINIAN ARE ALL TERRORISTS? AND ISRAEL HAS THE RIGHT TO SHOOT A FEW EVERY YEAR, RIGHT? WOMEN AND CHILDREN INCLUDED? I UNDERSTAND THE JEWISH NATION SUFFERED BUT I WOULD EXPECT CHILDREN TO BE SAFE FROM JEWISH BULLETS!!! GOOGLE NAZIS IN RUSSIA SINCE 1990... GOOGLE NAZI INSIGNIA IN RUSSIAN MILITARY! AND THE PROBLEM YOU REFER TO IS THAT RUSSIAN FORCES INVADED A SOVEREIGN NATION, THAT'S THE PROBLEM!!! AND BECAUSE OF THAT ACTION THERE WAS A REACTION, AND CERTAINLY IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FAR RIGHT OR ANTI- JEWISH!!! THE LIES AND DECEPTION OF THE KREMLIN AND DUMA IS SWALLOWED ONLY BY IGNORANTS OR FANATICS! THE RETHORIC OF TAKING BACK TERRITORY THAT WAS OURS IS VERY OLD, THE STORY OF NAZIS IS A LIE, THE NATO MENACE IS A LIE, JUST A FEW YEARS AGO RUSSIA WAS SITTING AT THE TABLE WITH NATO! I GUESS THE WEST FED PUTIN THE MONEY TO REBUILD IT'S WAR MACHINE, HERE'S THE PAYMENT NOW... FOR BELIEVING RUSSIA WANTED TO BE A PEACEFUL NATION!!! PUTIN'S THREATS OF NUCLEAR WAR, WHICH WOULD BE THE END OF RUSSIA(BUT PUTIN AND HIS BUDDIES WOULD HIDE IN URALS BUNKER😡) DESTRUCTION OF MOST WORLD CAPITALS, THE DEATH OF BILLIONS... A NUCLEAR WINTER WOULD FOLLOW, AND THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT...
      NATO HAS TO RESTORE BALANCE, UNDER THE ACTUAL LEADERSHIP, CHINA AND RUSSIA ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!! THEY ARE CONSTANTLY BUILDING THEIR WAR MACHINE, SO NOW NATO WILL DO IT TOO!!! LET PUTIN TRY ANYTHING WITH A NATO MEMBER... MR.BORIS I WONDER WHAT RUSSIA WOULD FEEL LIKE, IF CHINA DECIDED TO TAKE OVER SOME OF THE RUSSIAN TERRITORY IN THE BORDER OF RUSSIA WITH CHINA... WONDER WHAT LIE THE CHINESE WOULD INVENT TO JUSTIFY SUCH ACTION...
      "☠️ or Glory" recon.

      Yeah. Politicians going rogue and simply arresting people simply over accusations, especially without legal authority. I hate to say it , but it seems very Waffen SS like. "Papers please" , you know that sort of thing. Certainly doesn't make Ukraine look good, especially when multiple volunteer units are comprised of the extremes of a side of the political spectrum, and units like Azov battalion had literal nazis in their ranks. I'm not saying the separatists are the good guys, but my God, Ukraine isn't either if this is how they behave and allow this sort of thing. The guy isn't a cop or a member of the military. He has no legal authority to do this and it amounts to basically kidnapping.
