The drain own life was actually a different item mod back in the day. I've forgotten the name it had, but it was quite strong - adding the life drained to your damage. I can't play with it at all now, even though people claim it works well with the wounds increase damage, if you have it on at higher levels you will put yourself to 0% hp every hit which is obviously dangerous... Sure next hit will top you off with leech, but it means there's constantly windows to die in.
Sacred, now that brings me back. I mostly tried out all kinds of fancy builds, got frustrated with how many moving parts I had to balance to make them work and went back to just stomping everything with BFG sera... which has the exact opposite problem. You only care about 2 things in your equipment, so you just do a shopping run from time to time and the rest is just mowing down everything. With the vase puzzle, just look at the world map and compare the positions of the vases and you will notice something if my memory serves me right.
Each hit drains own life energy + x% works in pair with Wounds increase damage dealt. It is worth going with this build in higher difficulties ( at least in vanilla sacred gold)
how did you get it to run so smooth? i tried it with the Reborn Patch from Nexus and with dgVoodoo (mabey i had the wrong version?). ..and only one of those and together. my game still had bad FPS, when zoomed out.. rly annoying. i have the steam version and a modern gaming laptop. appreciate any tipps, thx in advance.
@@ozbro__ i only tried it with my laptops native resolution. i'll fumble around some more, with CPU settings and stuff. might be a hardware issue, that only some ppl experience. when i find a solution, i will post it here.

I thought it had something to do with making your attacks stronger, but still I don't even hesitate to use it

Adjusting the resolution with the tool that comes with the reborn mod to what your laptop is running. I run 1080p with mine

@@ozbro__ i followed the guide on steam called "Vanilla 1080p + SMAA + CAS" runs super sharp and buttery smooth now.
