- Just 12 hours after Isaiah Gibson decommited from the USC Trojans, Five-Star defensive lineman Justus Terry announced that he would be decommitting and re-opening his recruitment. Is it time to panic for Trojans fans to panic or is this just part of the process?

What he's saying... if you listen is that Coach Henny is going to bring in more than those 2 guys so maybe they didn't want to compete against guys in their same class. Not the current roster guys.

I’m a so cal guy and having that degree from USC is awesome for your future. I would rather have a Ring that says USC. And that is what I tell my family
Riley and staff need to go for solid doubles and triples and with local kids and other kids and focus on development with an outstanding defensive staff then stretch those into triples and home runs. Only swing for the fences once in a while. Learn from Pete Carol.

Notre Dame University, for me is the only other school that I would consider. Except Stanford boy that would be three great schools to pick from USC Notre Dame and Stanford. Throw all the rest out cause you got academics athletics and future does it mean national championships does it mean NFL, it just means your future after football
This whole "NIL is not there" talking point by everyone is getting old by our fanbase. I agree with you 100% that it is a normal thing that decommits happen. Some people really should just stay out of the comments and off of the forums with this garbage. People losing their minds in June about this like they have never followed the recruiting process. It ultimately hurts us when these "fans" keep spreading these baseless rumors. Keep up the good work Coach Rowe & Ryan!
A verbal commit is a snap shot in time and that’s it. Justus Terry and Isaiah gibson plane ride back to Georgia lasted longer that their verbal commitment. It makes no sense for SC or any other school to except verbal commits because there meaning less. Recruiting high 4-5 star defensive kids away from SEC territory is difficult, but it's made harder when SC is coming off a disappointing season with a dreadful defense the last 2 years. I believe in the new defensive coaching staff but they need to prove it on the field before SC can legitimately challenge programs like Alabama and Georgia for highly touted defensive players.
Lastly, please tell the whole story about UM and their championship run. They had a huge group of 4th and 5th year players that were starters the previous year. Ala Utah, ala last year Washington.

Man not sure about the "afraid to compete" comment for a couple to the top rated defensive recruits in this class, especially when they decommitted the same day SC dropped an SEC game from the schedule after trying to drop the LSU game. Oh yeah and those kids are from SEC country. Seems a slight bit ironic to accuse them of not wanting to compete and then not even bringing that up.

Coach Rowe I some what grew up in California & I have been a USC Trojan fan since the 80s & 90s. But I have Live in Georgia for a Long time. I have had to tell UGA on dawg post podcast when they were making fun Of Lincoln Riley, I sent them a text message & told them to get off their high horse, cause Georgia only two national championships & our USC has 7 national championships, 8 Heismans winners to Georgia's one, we also have 7 number one draft picks & not mention all the NFL Hall of Famers. I'm true USC fan & always will be. Couch Rowe you did CW wrong, cause I remember in your very first videos for LSFB you were praising him & now you talk very bad about the kid, that I don't respect. This didn't age well -- now a 4-star has decommitted as well. We have tumbled from #3 to clinging to the lower rungs of the top 50. Whatever is going on in there better change and I mean NOW.
A lot of news about nil not matching the others schools and it is hurting the recruiting by the coaches and we say when we hire Lincoln he would be FULLY supported. 🤔
With NIL recruits are utilizing being committed to start bidding war from the rest. This BS about committing should stay behind close doors. Just let me know once someone is signed.

Panic? No. But, if I were a top brass or mover and shaker tied into USC and UCLA, I’d be breathing down the throat of the elected and non-elected governance people in LA County and city of LA. It’s hard enough to be successful and bring back greatness but when athletes look at what’s going on of late in LA County and the City of LA and think is that where I want to move to and be for next bunch of years it just makes it even harder. Specially if you are not from such places.

Ballers that want to be at USC and work hard to get better by great coaches can stay. Why pay when they can transfer in a year. Those 2 are for the upcoming class and makes no difference for this year. Start recruiting hard and get players to replace them.

Folt wants to use the donors for her higher priorities than football. Don't expect NIL money to come close to other football schools. Folt never wanted to be seen as a football school. She wants a high academic perception.
