It's an exercise in playing one's self. The SEC is top heavy? Texas had 4 or 5 losses? They made the playoff. Come on now. Georgia,Bama, Texas, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Ole Miss,Mizzou, etc. You rattle off teams like Kentucky (beat our Holiday Bowl foe Louisville 38-31) and Mizzou (just went 11-2) like they're bums. How is the SEC less top heavy than the second best conference, the Big 10? Michigan,Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, Washington, USC,etc. SEC has had the most players drafted for 18 consecutive years. The SEC has also won 6 of the last 10 (60%), 10 of the last 15 (67%), and 13 of the last 20 (65%) titles. SEC vs Big 12 the last 5 seasons: 11-10 SEC vs ACC the last 5 seasons: 21-18 SEC vs Big 10 the last 5 seasons: 14-9 SEC vs Pac-12 the last 5 seasons 7-5 SEC vs The Power Conferences the last 5 Seasons: 53-42 (.558) Power Conferences vs SEC the last 5 Seasons: 42-53 (.442) Stop playin'.

sorry but disagree. LR is way overrated. He's not improving and I think he leaves usc at the end of the season. and the sec would kill the old pac probably winning 9 out of 12 games if they played paired match ups top to bottom.

We've had some great receiver rooms in the last few years. The group with Pittman, Tyler Vaughns and Amon-Ra was an incredible group. Maybe the best as a group I can remember with 3 great receivers on the field. Last years group without Addison was not super great. But the super sop's?, this could be the best ever. A sick receiver room.

Word gett8ng around that Kyron Hudson will be in the Top 3 as far as wide outs on this team!

I do think it’s good that Lincoln Riley is on the list. Paul F isn’t the only personality that doesn’t think L Riley is a good coach. It’s a national narrative a lot of analysts and media personalities across the country are downplaying how good of a coach Lincoln Riley is.

Why do talking heads pretend to know anything about OU's athletic department? The fact is Bob Stoops handed Lincoln Riley a loaded roster, basically the keys to the Ferrari. LR put together some epic offenses, good teams, as he always does. But what you failed to mention is that every year Lincoln coached at OU they got a little bit worse. I mean if he put any type of focus on the defensive side of the ball, they win1NC for sure, possibly 2. He had Baker, Kyler, Hurts back to back to back and the program declined every year. And to say Bob Stoops had any say in that program after he left is false. He gave him EVERYTHING to succeed. He was present and around only bc his son was playing on the team, and nothing more. One thing that they make clear at OU is that NOBODY is bigger than the program, Bob, Barry, and yes even Lincoln.. Look I was crushed when he left, I was shocked and upset. I was a huge fan!! But looking back now, I'm happy he's gone. If he ever focuses on Defense and an actual culture in the locker room he can win a NC (which he failed at both in Norman). But the good news is he's young and very smart, so time will tell... Good luck

Finebaum never put on pads, cheats, or a helmet. He is wrong as often as he is right. He tooting his horn for the OU Sooners . Just a few months ago he had judged Coach Venables so low, and his Team, the Sooners as losers before the team was put together. I am a Sooners loyal supporter, My Dad graduated from OU, Lincoln R will do what best for him and the Trojans. It may take him a while but I support the man for trying.
