    i moved from ring to eufy. I wanted 24/7 recording. I didn't want a monthly subscription. I wasn't happy with the video quality of of ring. and my ring was constantly going off with false alerts. I love my eufy 4k pro cameras the doorbell with 2 cameras one that points down to watch packages and my eufy floodlight that has a 360 camera that moves and will actually follow a person if it detects movement. I'm going to switch my moms system to eufy now.

    I liked and subscribed. Nice video, to the point and informational. Quick tip background music is nice however should be a tad lower. Overall great quality, and thank you.... I'll be getting a Eufy soon.

    I have both. Eufy hands down. No subscription required for Eufy and doesn’t constantly require you to update and log you out like Ring does

      Can you go back at anytime of the day with the app to see what happened if it didn't trigger an event with the free aspect?

    • @fkillah
      @fkillah 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Eufy will hold recordings for triggered events.

    I just need to know which camera supports 24/7 recording that I can go back and view any moment at anytime on the app

      Eufy's your better bet. Ring tends to cost more if you want a longer video history to check on past events

    Hard to hear dialogue with music in background.

    I don't understand the local storage preference vs. cloud. Can't a thief just steal the medium where the videos are recorded on since it's local?

    • @dontump2286
      @dontump2286 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's easier to hide local storage that continues to record even if landline is breached. The cloud is useless if landline is breached or wifi is jammed. Local storage uses multiple wifi sources to record to base station: 1 from the base station and 1 from home network. If the basestation wifi goes out, the camera transmits through home network wifi, if the home network wifi goes out, the camera still transmits to the basestation. If power goes out, the camera still records locally to the camera itself. Eufy also offers cloud storage backup that's less expensive than ring, arlo, wyze, blink, nest, etc. All that to say, if you cut power, wifi, ethernet, steal the camera, or steal the homebase...Eufy still works. They are the only option that records locally to camera, basestation, and the cloud if you want or just to camera and basestation if you don't want to pay 8.99 a month.

      Provided the thief can find where your storage is located and thinks to look for it. But I think they would usually be in a hurry or just pick a house without obvious security measures.
      Also you could make Eufy store to a folder that can be synced (using FreeFileSync for example) with cloud storage that is al lot cheaper and more multifunctional than a Ring subscripion.

      @@Marcus-rz6gw hi, how can I save to a folder that syncs to FreeFileSync? I have the s330 cameras with home base 3. Thanks!

    Some help me pick something
    1. I want four outdoor cameras. Wireless
    2. One indoor camera for my garage
    3. Ability to monitor inside my home or from remote locations on my cell phone
    4. Ability to review older recordings and share videos with family or police
    5. Do NOT want any outside monitoring services by anyone, do not want automatic alerts or calls from police . My family and i will be the ONLY monitors and if we need the police, we will call them.
    5. Video sufficient to identify a person day or night
    6. Prefer no subscription fees, but not against it of reasonable
    7. Lastly, affordable

      I would go with ring stick up cams there perfect for outdoors with many features like a siren 2 way talk and more also you can upgrade from doorbells to alarm and more ring is perfect for me and I think it would be for you and there indoor cams are perfect great quality siren motion alerts video playback uo to 60 days I think and the subscription for all cameras and features is 10 bucks a month with ring protect plus ➕️

    I use Ring for alarm system & indoor cam [with $10 monthly subription]. The z wave connectivity is a plus for me knowing we have so many devices using wifi. Also, Ring is more polished tha Eufy. Our few outdoor cam though are all Eufy with no subscription.

      After watching many reviews, I also have the feeling that Ring's secueity system is better but Eufy has better cameras. Are you still satisfied with that combo?

  • @lambdaprog

    Both. Ring for the alarm + sensors. Eufy for looking around.

    So I’m buying a camera for my uni bedroom as the staff don’t tell us when they’ve let themselves in.
    I’m interested in the Eufy E220 however I can’t afford the Eufy base station, is this required?
    I’m also a massive fan on the physical privacy shield on the Ring indoor camera.
    Are you able to turn off Eufy cameras both audio and video? Being in my bedroom I’m not sure I fancy being filmed all the time

    • @slasher0009
      @slasher0009 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you talking about the indoor E220 pan & tilt or Outdoor camera? anyway both of them has a micro SD card slot for local storage; for the indoor E220 it doesn't come the microSD card but if you are buying the outdoor cam E220 it comes with 32GB microSD, you can connect them to the Eufy base station but not required, if you want automations then you require the base station.
      As for your second question, Yes you can turn off the both audio and video in a way. In the app there is a security tab that you can set the camera to Three modes Home, Away and Disarm. in the Disarm mode the camera will not record any video and audio, as well not to sent you notifications. If you really want to totally off the camera you can try my simple way, I have connected my camera to a smart plug so when I am home or arrived home the smart plug switch off my camera.

    Thanks for the fully fantastic video. I have about a half dozen Eufy cameras I LOVE! But it is an F- with HomeBase 3 self monitored alarm because the Sirens (in HomeBase3, all cameras and brand new Eufy Sirens 🚨) all AUTOMATICALLY DISABLE AND SILENCE ALARM AFTER 30 seconds! This is INSANE . It turns them off before a burglar will care. Eufy, after 10 emails said this is a FEATURE to avoid noise complaints when you are being burglarized! This is INSANE. What do your Eufy contacts tell you about this “FEATURE” that disqualifies ITSELF as a self monitoring alarm? And what are Your Thoughts. Do any other alarms disable themselves this way? Thanks for your words of wisdom.

    Ring is a rip off u have to pay subscription fee and it goes up every year and when u load a camera it takes ages for camera to load then the event is missed eufy is beter no subscription fee and high quality and built in hard drive and cameras load quickly

    Ring just updated 1/24/24 that they will no longer be passing footage to police. They can still get footage of course. But they have to go to thru the owner.
    So that makes me feel better.

    Ring sucks. Constant bugs that take months for them to fix, solar rarely works, lacks most common sense features that eufy has had for years, and you have to pay to record anything. I gave up and switched to Eufy. Never been happier!
