I know the reolink guy means it's a 20,000 mAh battery, but I'd be super impressed if it really had a 20,000 mA battery in that camera. I guess you could really deter thieves with a zap from that.
@@fknid A and Ah are different. Ah is the total capacity, or how much energy it can move over time until it's discharged. That's what he meant to say. Amps (not Ah) isn't a very useful metric by itself for a battery, but it means how much current is flowing all at once. It doesn't really tell us much without also knowing what voltage, but for example a battery lawn mower running at 56V draws about 10A. 20A probably wouldn't kill you at typical lower battery voltages unless it went across your heart or something but it would give you a reason to run away. I just thought it sounded funny, especially when I first thought of house current, where 20A is more than enough to run a fridge.
@fknid I was never strangely amazed, I was amused because the first thing that popped into my head was a 20A house circuit, and even though that doesn't apply it sounded funny to me. Anyway a battery can't discharge its power that quickly, afaik.
I am so disappointed in my eufy s300s reliability as far as picking up movement and the fact one of them will not connect to the base from where it is mounted,I live in a smaller house(1100 sg ft) but it is brickAlso the pickup of movement for the doorbell camera,it misses a lot.The ring doorbell isn't any better.
As a person with 3 full ring setups on my office, my house and my parents house… I completely agree. I’ve just finished adding two extra cameras at my parents house an hour ago, which is enormous… I’ve come to realise how bad ring really is. They need to make some drastic changes, which seems impossible now as the comp is 10 years ahead

Ring is providing a 2k upgrade only for their Pro cameras? I mean I guess this is something, but when will they have 4K cameras? They keep trying to peddle their old technology and making everything more expensive with the paid subscriptions, but not upgrading the hardware in a meaningful way.
@@boomerps2 I believe they'll resolve the security concerns by cooperating with the US authority. International TP-Link is different from China TP-Link though.
The text search guy who stumbled was hilarious. Because I would type a not PC accepted phrase to review possible intrusions. Downside to WiFi enabled security systems is all it takes is a jammer to render it useless. Hard wired and battery backup will always be superior. WiFi systems are for those who think they want security. 🤣
I’m only 5 minutes into the video, but noticed that Reolink didn’t mention if their cameras were HomeKit compatible. I have a complete HomeKit system and can’t imagine getting anything that isn’t compatible to it.
@@DoItYourselfDad, I hear ya. Makes sense. For me though my camera feeds, both inside and outside are definitely clear and detailed enough for me at 1080p. With that being said, now I just need cameras that are infinitely better than the Logitech garbage I have.
@@anthonyscott5134 Take a look at Eufy, a lot of their new cameras are Homekit compatible (and their door locks as well). Eufy is what I have personally on my home and I've been very happy with them, they just weren't at CES this year.
Ring has good durability but their optics suck. Their software is behind the industry and sad for a company that has large market share. Little to no meaningful innovation.

Thanks. Didn't see these products on other videos.
Man, now I feel bad about missing CES this year. Those TP-Link cameras seem great! I need to get in touch with them
Until you find out about tp link and spying
@ ya they are a Chinese brand so there is always a chance but use them outside only is no real issue.
@@Crosbie85 then you need to stay away from all electronic devices.

A security camera with a taser installed might not be a bad idea for port pirates 🏴☠️ 😂
Huh? If it has a 20 Ah battery then it can do 20 Amps.

@ wow. Such description. Super wow. A 20 Ah battery can put out 20 Amps for an hour. So why are you strangely amazed if it had a 20 Amp battery.

Arlo was the same way that's why I just left them and went to another company
@ what did you go with?
Pumped for TP-Link
I was really impressed with the new stuff they have coming out.
You shouldn’t be. They spy
Isn't TP Link about to get dumped due to its vulnerabilities?

TP link has a whole line of POE equipment, that equipment also has the option for data over ethernet.
REOLINK......no mention of anything POE??? Sad.

I’m running home kid as well, but the fact that HomeKit only supports 1080p is why I’m still avoiding it with any of my cameras.

Ring is such trash
No POE ( Power over electric line. No PTX ( Point Tilt and zoom with audio or batter back up or network ?? ;-9 They are all white too ;-(
Did you even watch the video? TP link has a whole line of POE cams. Ring has cams in black. TP link, Reolink and Ring all have PTZ. All have audio.
