Probably the best and most objective review of the product I've watched, I guess I'll just wait for the next iteration in the future! Looking forward to your other reviews in the future!
Most AR glasses 'reviews' appear to be sponsored, and offer very few criticisms. Thanks for your balanced views. Comfort, FoV and general practicalities makes or breaks a product.
I got these last month and am absolutely in love with them. Most of these negative reviews are personal problems. It’s on a user-to-user basis. Mine have been comfortable, extremely clear and don’t hurt my eyes, so it’s kind of a bummer when reviews like this push people away. You can always return them especially through Amazon.
The issue with all VR headsets is the heat generated inside where you can't use it more than 30 mins without having to pull it out to let the hot air out. These kind of XR glasses are comfortable that you can wear them for the whole day. I watched 3 movies back to back laying down on my sofa without having the need to take the glasses out.
... huh? I wear VR headsets for more than a half hour without heat issues easily. In fact, I exercise in VR headsets and still don't have "heat" issues like you're talking. Sweat issue sure, but a silicone adapter fixes that.
Short and quick to the point, noice review! Although I believe you went a bit too negative, I bought them, and they are awesome! Is it better than an actual monitor? Of course not. They complete devices like the steam deck and also provide convenience to use devices while laying down and/or anywhere.
omg the doggie licking your face while tryna play on those glasses made this whole video for me, thank you. actually excellent and informative review as well! sounds like it's not as good for monitor replacement as something like the meta quest
I dont think these XR glasses are meant to be competing with the Vision Pro or the Meta Quest. In my opinion they only serve to be a bigger monitor when travelling on a plane or a bus and their competition is other XR glasses like Rayneo and Xreal. Good review though very objective.
So long as this device calls itself mixed reality (that's what XR means) and offers mixed reality features, I'll feel comfortable comparing to other mixed reality options on the market. That said, I've been working on getting other glasses form factor devices to compare.
Love your review! How would you compare the image quality compared to the quest 3? I have trouble with quest 3 because it’s not the clearest and sharp. Would you say these are sharper and more vibrant?
Sharper maybe, not necessarily more vibrant… but up there. For gaming they work. For productivity I found it hard to read text and didn’t like that I couldn’t see my whole monitor at once.
I appreciate that this review felt a lot more honest to me than most of the others I saw. But pointing out missing AR features and comparing them to VR headsets seems a little odd to me. They are just displays. I hope we'll get a 1440p option at some point. 1080p feels pretty dated at this point. I'll try them nonetheless, thanks for the video 👌
Hey thanks for watching! The reason I'm comparing them to things like the Vision Pro and such is these promise a Mixed Reality experience (that's what the XR in the name means!), as do the Vision pro and Meta Quest and so on. So I'm holding them to the standard they've set for themselves. Again, thanks for the compliments!
@anoraker I understand how the name is kinda confusing or even misleading, so that makes sense. But they are just advertised as a display. I rechecked the product page, and they do not mention XR, AR, or VR once. Apart from the name. I guess they should come up with something other than XR. Glasses-Display doesn't sound very enticing, though 😄. Anyway, I appreciate the response. Have a great day!
Just from a minute or so checking the website I found quotes and claims like: "Our mixed reality glasses just got an upgrade" "...Viture One is focused on Extended Reality, an expansion of the real world" and "SpaceWalker is an XR experience on iOS available exclusively for VITURE One XR Glasses - and the first and only of its kind." So again, I think it's fair to compare them to other XR experiences out there... where they are better (lighter, cheaper, etc.) and worse (less immersive, capable, etc.). Thanks for watching! It's much appreciated.
@bengalibrowniee not at all, if you think I do. 😅 I actually returned them. The FOV and resolution were too low for my purposes. I will miss every single teams message while wearing them. Still. They do not market them as AR or VR capable anywhere (I also checked the website). The response was petty at best.
I don't get where they come up with 135" display either. While wearing these sitting on my couch in front of my 65" tv, the display is about equal vertically and approximately 10" wider horizontally. At the same time I actually love them. No eyestrain, can do things around the house while watching content...this has basically replaced all but my computer monitor. Also I used to have to wear cheap reading glasses to game on my steamdeck - this has replaced that requirement completely. Never liked my Quest because didn't trust the idea of complete isolation, so big monitor in my face is really all I wanted. So far this is the best at that.
I'm going on a trip in a couple weeks with my family it's gonna be like a five day drive do you think it's worth getting these for watching movies and playing my switch
If the idea is to watch movies and play switch, then yep potentially if you can get a comfortable fit. I'd say go for it, try it out, and if it doesn't fit well enough to use for an extended period of time, return it. But watching movies and playing switch is the best use for these, especially when traveling.
I’m working on my laptop all the Time when i’m on travel. Is this a good solution to have a bigger screen because i can’t take my screen all the Time with me!
I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty unsatisfied with text size and clarity. I COULD do it, but I didn't want to edit documents on this thing. Video editing was a bit better since that's often more media based. This is great for viewing video. Not as much for editing tasks that required small tools or text.
If we talk about watching movies, how would you compare the Vitures to the Vision Pro? I mean, im sure Vision Pro looks way better but, like talking all things consider, comfort and stuff. And how you say the pure screen quality is against each other. Like 1/10 scale?
The Viture Pro is more comfortable by default, just because they're not big and heavy and don't squeeze your head. They clarity on them is surprisingly good as well. I did find it difficult to wear them for long periods of times because none of the nose bridges fit me quite right and the thing shines very bright lights into your eyes (you can see how bright in one of my clips). The Vision Pro produces MUCH better AR effects and a better overall screen (although glare is an issue in dark movies and environments. It's extremely good, and the Viture doesn't hit the same level. If they were exactly the same price, I'd say get the Vision Pro because it's the better product overall. But they aren't the same price, not even close. And that fact makes the Vitures much more tempting. They're far more affordable. Like 60% as good as the Vision Pro for a fraction of the price. Hope that helps!
I haven't experienced that at all. When I take them off fell the right arm warm, but while wearing them it doesn't transfer at all to my head. And I have watched 2-3hrs of Netflix content uninterrupted.

@@austinb5656 True. Ultimately, you really need to try them on.

Nah , i agree with the OP . Retured my meta wuest cause i couldnt go on more than hour cause it was creating alot of discomfort to keep wearing it .
Could never get the whole image sharp, bottom right corner always blur.

My favorite toy for watching Netflix. Beside the awesome screen quality it is diopter makes it my favorite.

Tell me you have ties with the company without telling me you have ties 😂

I have to say you look and sound like a young Saul Goodman trying to sell me a pair of glasses on TV. 😂

Yes, it could work decently as a second screen. As long as you keep in mind the limitations I mentioned.
Great unbiased review! How's the quality for productivity, such as coding or video editing? Can you read all the smaller text clearly?
I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty unsatisfied with text size and clarity. I COULD do it, but I didn't want to edit documents on this thing. Thanks for this!
My pleasure!
does it work with steam deck without the dock?
It does, but the dock adds (some) battery life and a few features. But you don't need the dock to connect the to the Steam Deck.
@@anoraker thanks bro

your videos definetly benefit from timestamps ;)
Well Made Subscribe Button. Had to look twice to find out its physical. Very good animation there :D
That's a good point! Will add some timestamps now.
Thanks for watching, and the nice words about the Subscribe button! I had real fun with that one 😄
Can these Work with a Tablet that has an HDMI Out Port ?
If you get the dock that supports HDMI devices, then it should work.
@@anoraker, I understand .
