The alter-ego idea I think is a stroke of genius, especially with the direct limitations/reasoning “not this, but this...”. Also, do you find that the more effort in, the better and more focused you feel thereafter? I used to compose for hours on end and, depending how inspired/productive/accepting I was of the work done, I’d produce about 30-40 seconds of music by writing note-for-not what I heard in my mind, and afterwards my whole head felt amazing (which is why I asked this question! 😂)!

Halloween and acting of any type is an excellent way for people with anxiety (and people who are generally shy)!to show other parts of themselves they usually keep hidden from the world. I teach Shakepeare to 4th graders (for eight years!) and my best actors are always the quiet boys and girls who otherwise don't stand out much. It's fantastic! As the amazing actor, Meryl Streep, once said "Acting is not about being someone different. It's about finding the similarities in what is on the surface different, then finding yourself in deep within that "new" character". Keep being you, Maya!

That's awesome, the tacks omg I suggest maybe using pyramid studs next time ( less likely to fall and look overall more rocker/punk ) and easier to secure. The custom shirt was a nice touch to what you were going for. Make up was really good even though I have no clue about women make up but it does remind me of how my goth friend does hers. that should have been so fun!! haha. once a few years ago i also dressed myself as a rocker and put on a wig for a halloween party i went to (but it was nothing compared to all you did), i also walked in the streets like a heavy rocker to see how people reacted, it was so fun, everybody was looking at me, but the day after that i felt so ashamed 😂😂 also that dark/rocker look seriously looked amazing on you, you really rocked it!! /m/ /m/ (those are horns lol) you should try different looks in the future like you did here, i imagine that should be really fun!

that should have been so fun!! haha. once a few years ago i also dressed myself as a rocker and put on a wig for a halloween party i went to (but it was nothing compared to all you did), i also walked in the streets like a heavy rocker to see how people reacted, it was so fun, everybody was looking at me, but the day after that i felt so ashamed 😂😂
also that dark/rocker look seriously looked amazing on you, you really rocked it!! /m/ /m/ (those are horns lol) you should try different looks in the future like you did here, i imagine that should be really fun!

Love your energy and enthusiasm - it was a really nice transformation, its always nice to have little projects like this every so often. How did it feel to walk around in what could be defined as a different skin, did you feel any changes in the way you interacted with ppl and did you feel yourself getting more relaxed as the day progressed.
