Anderz forgot to click "exclude" in the bottom left at 7:07. Make sure you do that and make sure that both options are unchecked.
Also don't forget to retire the temporary manager after by clicking "FM Logo" then "Retire" (don't do it on the wrong manager though!!)

When the game generates new regen, how should you set up Newgan Manager?
The 24.2 update has changed the unique ID of Newgens so the NewGan Manager currently isn’t working as intended.
To fix this, locate the config.xml file that you have created with the manager and open it in notepad (or any text editor).
Do a find and replace - find “person/“ and replace with “person/r-“ and make sure you press replace all.
This should temporarily fix the issue but will require you to reload skin in game.
Each time you re-run the manager the config file will remove your changes so you will need to do this quick fix each time.

How they have not brought AI faces into the game officially is ridiculous at this point. If its not in FM25 I will just assume that no one at SI knows how to use AI Face generation... ;)
The whole “it’s the same face as the 3D engine” seems to be the point they are stuck on and refusing to move away from. There’s hope that FM25 allows that to change, or at least has faces from the 3D engine that look more human.
@@sortitoutsi they did said fm25 is going to be a full reboot of FM engine and sistem so lets us hope i would love a life mechanic like in fifa manager to push me to go after better contracts and have more social interactions with the players and staff

Pretty sure it was a licensing issue but I could be wrong.

Important to note that new player images will take up considerable physical space on the hard drive unlike the 20 or so numbers that generate every face in the game. Its unsurprising that they don't want to make huge files the standard.
Has today's update changed this at all? Not getting any new faces and losing all my existing ones with them all being replaced by the game's newgen faces.

For so long I had a problem where only about 100-200 out of 54k filtered players would change their faces. Here is the mistake I was making all the time - when I selected them, I would click on first one, then scroll to last one and shift + click to select them all and they would all get "colored". Thats wrong, it worked when I actually clicked on the first one and then select + a! And it also took longer to generate and reload skin this time.

With the new fm update my faces turn into the default, i already tryed to remake the process but it doesnt work. Anyone with the same problem?

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I followed all the steps. I downloaded the files, installed the program, created the manager, and saved the list step by step. I also did the generator as shown and clicked reload skin. However, the faces didn't change. What could be the problem?
It's got a different methods now, check another video
In case anyone is trying to get the file now and might encounter issues at unpacking the ZIP file. This is because few png files seem to be corrupted - specifically COM2 to COM 9 from Africa(you might also encounter difficulties trying to delete them, will have to check the properties to find the right path and delete them through CMD). Currently removed them from my archive and trying to see if I encounter further issues.

Some of them looks older than their age but still much better than the default newgan
Won’t be perfect but it’ll be better than the defaults; you’ll get some 16-year olds who look 30 and some 30-year olds who look 16

I believe you can repeat for each batch of newgens however often you want, at least this is the case with Zealand's face pack@@user-jm7ez1ur8p
@@user-jm7ez1ur8pBeen a long time, but anyway, you need to run it again in "Preserve" mode so that it adds faces for the new regen, but doesn't change the faces for the pre-existing regens.
I can't generate a config file with the NewGAN-manager. I followed all the steps said above and when i clickReplace faces nothing happens. What do I do?

A few minor issues that were also present in the newgan Zealand presented (so that's probably due to the software rather than the featured face pack), but overall I'm a big fan!
its been working fine for weeks and then all of a sudden all the faces disappeared, i didnt do anything. i redid the whole process twice and it still doesnt work. Wtf is goin on?!

This is amazing, thank you. I applied this pack and it worked fine but many newgens (in new seasons) have cartoon faces. I reapplied the pack choosing the “Preserve” mode in the editor but I still see cartoon faces. Any tips to fix that? Thank you.
also having this issue, just got my youth intake and most of them are cartoon faces and some just straight black and then some real ones...

There is an issue with the newGAN-manager, if there are not enough faces for one ethnicity (even if you select preserve). The simplest work-around is just to use "Generate" again, or add more faces into your folder (you can just add the newganv2 facepack from Zealand...
@@padachayo8454 Thank you. But if I choose "generate" on a current save, all my current AI faces will be wiped for new ones, so my players will get new faces, right?... That's not ideal...
@@raulmonjejohansson4726 in that case i would produce a text file with all of your players just like the one to print with the unimployed manager (but just as a text). Its important that you include the ID into the printed view of your squad. Now you go into your Userfolder, under graphics/player faces there is every face, there should be 2 folders, one with the vanilla faces of actual players and one with the newgans. Then you search your player-IDs in the config.xml of the newgan folder and write out the face names of your IDs (like Caucasian58, etc). Then you copy the faces of your players into the other folder with the actual players and name them after there ID (but here without the /r-). This is important because otherwise the newgan-manager would overwrite your faces the next time you use it. As a last step you go into the config.xml of the actual players folder and enter your player IDs like the ones above (just copy one line of text and replace the IDs with your players IDs).
This should take like 15 mins and you should be good to go. If this aint working it is because the FM is loading the actual player faces before the newgans. In that case you can just add a 3rd folder, containing the correct named player faces and a config.xml with your players written into it (you can download an empty one in which you just have to copy your ID into on several webpages).
If you need any help, just join a discord. There are several ones, i am on the German discord of FMzweierkette, but there are many others which can help you aswell.
If this is too complicated for you, you just have to life with new faces i guess...
Is the point to do this within my save file for each year I get new youth intake players? The one thing I don't like is my existing NewGan players always get new faces each time I repeat the process for the new guys. Would like some continuity if possible if anyone else tackles this issue each time they get new youth players?
Hey Mine makes an error in the image directory, says a folder is not present, even though it is, you skipped the part where you selct the folder for the image directory, is there a way to se what you did there?

Thanks for great video! Question: is it possible to exclude journalists and agents from getting this Newgan faces? When I go with tutorial everything works fine, but this two groups also gets faces like players... and it's doesn't working well. Female agents/jornalists gets male faces and vice versa.
It's not working for me. The NewGan Manager is always finishing in seconds without updating anything.

It was like trying to keep up with a rambling 100metre runner, he needs to slow down and it takes ages and my one didn’t work as african images weren’t found so annoying, especially for a 1st time user he is hard to follow.
Had this working but loaded my save up and all newgen faces have gone back to the original in game ones. I've followed the steps again but cant get the realistic ones to show up, any ideas ?

I followed all the directions but now I have lost my manager career save. I can get my profile back but when I went to reload the game I can only use the fake manager I was told to create. Where Have I gone? And how do I get myself back as the manager to continue my career save?
Im getting this error when I press "Replace Faces" in the NewGan-Manager: "Folder MENA is missing in the image directory". How do I fix this?

There isn't a Graphics folder in the location mentioned on my Mac, do I just create one?

The last version of FM I played was 21. I like to sim way into the future where the vast majority of players are newgens. I want them all to have newgen faces. But I could never get it to work with Zealand's facegen pack in 21. Is that something you think should work with this?
bro, where does that Newgan manager go to after installing? couldn't find it anywhere, doesn't open anything, I can only install or uninstall it...very strange
Search it on your PC and you'll find it,It doesn't automatically open up after installing

For some reason my Newgan Manager app won't open - I've tried numerous things, but just simply wont open - Any ideas?
So, i've followed the instructions and got to the point where I have to go to FM iconj - Print Screen - TXT file
But my print screen button is greyed out and won''t let me.
Am I missing something really obvious here?
hi mate! idk if you will read this but am playing on FM23, I wanted to add this facepack, everything is working okay but for some reason : NewGAN manager is just straight up not opening and I dont know why. I'm always the only one that has stupid problem for no reason :(

This would be great, but the views don't appear when trying to import them, and can't find any answers anywhere as to why they're not appearing when they're extracted into the folders specified...
Check that it’s definitely the right folder; create a view in game and save it - wherever it saves to will be the right folders
I got it working untill I had to preserve then struggled. Now I can't get the installer to open ive tried reinstalling about 3 times even tried a system restore and I can not get the installer to open at all.
Yes it works beautifully thank you. Followed it step by step but what about the staff? I just sit here and view my silly secretary and i realize the staff needs an overhaul now as well.
I´m sure i´ll find it but thought i could ask, lots of steps for it but for free so a "thank you" is in order/fitting.

Download links dont work, they dont auto start nor can you start them following to the website listed. Waste of time.
Latest game update has broken this I think, I now have no regen faces changed in the game!! :(
Pinned comment or: open the config.xml file in your userfolder (under graphics/player faces) and use the "search and replace" function from the editor. Now you have to replace /200 with /r-200 and you should be good to go. They changed the IDs in the update, so the old IDs doesnt work anymore. You have to do this every time you update the faces.

I literally cut out me finding the folder locations which you can see on screen because nobody needs to see all of the folders on my pc.

@@Eitron834 yes apparently for staff you have to do it manually ,one by one there are different instructions ,the app doesn't work on staff

Great vid, only question is. I created the new manager, got all the faces working, but when swapping to my main manager all the faces were default. The new gen faces only worked in the new manager for some reason. So all my new gen academy players etc were still showing the normal generated faces not the funky new ones lol. How can i fix this?
At 7:07 in the video when importing the filter make sure to click "exclude" in the bottom left and make sure that both options are unchecked.
@AllanLaw15 you can also do the process multiple times if players have somehow been missed there are views in the download for the squad page as well.

It seems like maybe the cache affects the selected manager, which would be odd but the only explanation. The steps then should be to retire the temporary manager first and then reset the cache / reload skin.
question about this facepack, is it supplemental to the newganv2 that was released a few years ago? can i keep those faces in there and add these, or will they replace certain files?

I followed this video several times and each time it only generated new faces for a handful of the 3000 plus newgens in my save. Mainly the Irish players for some reason!!
Make sure you arent accidentally Exclude players from outside your search region or your own team. In the player search screen there are options to exclude these, make sure they are unticked. If you've created a new manager I have found that they are always greyed out so you can't accidentally exclude them.
I'm getting an error message from NewGAN Manager saying that "Folder MESA is missing from image directory" when I try to generate.

Do you have to do this with every single save you start? Or only once? Also, Can I do this at the start of my career/new save and every new gen will be generating from the facepack? Or I wil have to do it every year when new gens are generated?

I am using Mac and I struggle to access the folder on the NewGan-Manager >> Select Image >> it would not allow me to access “Library”. Same as RTF File. Any suggestions?
Is this something that needs to be done every season? Or do I need to keep the extra manager? I did all the instructrions, and everything seemed to work, until I got a new youth intake. None of the new players have faces. I'm not sure if opposition teams newgans get faces, but mine certainly dont.
yeah, this only covers already existing newgens. Once you have a new intake, you need do it again, preferably with the options set so you keep "the file roling"
You dont need the extra manager if you have world scouting I believe. Or if theres players you miss it will be some 2nd division afghani player
@@asdfghjkl123722 Yeah, thats true. The extra manager is only there to show you the whole world without the limitation of your managers/clubs knowledge. But once there are new regens in the pool, you again need to export a list, load it into the facegan manager to give these new regens pictures
Other comments have covered most of this (thanks!) but yes, you need to re-run the process each intake to cover the new players - make sure you select the “preserve” option so your existing players keep there faces.
If you don’t create a new manager make sure you double check you aren’t excluding your own players when you apply the filter - it’s one of the options at the bottom of the search box.

I want to ask, how about on the next few year? Do you need to re-add new manager - then make a newgen RTF file - and re-generate again use Newgan Manager? Or you will only generate that RTF file only once at entire games?
You make a new RTF file and within the NewGan manager there’s an option called “preserve” so if you use the same profile it will remember what files have already been assigned to players and just add the new ones.

When I select all newgens and try to save to generate the RTF file, it says "you are not authorized to save". Do you know how to solve it?
Hi mate, thanks for the help great video now I am in the next season and the new youth intake has came but old newgen faces? Also what if you make a new save?
For the new intake you need to go through the steps again, but change the setting to “preserve” so that it keeps existing players with the same faces.
For a new save you’ll need to run the process fresh and the newgen player id’s will get reused so you’ll have mismatches with players.
If you want to run two saves at once; it’s possible but annoying as you’ll have to copy your first config file and save it elsewhere, run the process for save 2 and save that config file elsewhere and then keep changing the file and reloading your graphics each time you change save.

You don’t need to. I find it easier as it doesn’t mess with any of your player search filters or views.
Also your managers search can be limited by your clubs scouting knowledge. Unemployed managers can search all players

I had the Newgan installer for FM23, until a few months ago it worked perfectly. Then, suddenly it stopped. Deleted it and every time I reinstall and click open, absolutely nothing happens. I have un-installed and re-installed numerous times and the same thing happens every time - click Open, and watch as absolutely nothing happens... :(
Sounds like an odd one, and I don’t have a good answer for you.
Maybe try an older version of the software from the GitHub - github.com/Maradonna90/NewGAN-Manager/releases
You should also be able to create an issue and provide the feedback on GitHub as well - but I’m not sure how quick you can expect a response.
@@sortitoutsi Thanks, it's absolutely baffled me. Resorted to editing players individually using their ID numbers. Will check that out.

1) After applying the new faces, can i delete the second menager?
2) I'm just 3 years into the future and i changed few newgens. If i want to add more new faces after few seasons, that ones that I've already applied will change?
1) yes, delete the manager or better yet save before adding a new one and reload.
2) you’ll have to run the process again to add more - just select the “preserve” option from the drop down to keep your existing players.

I have an issue, it's a fresh started save, so only around 3.000 gens show, I apply everything and looks like only the new faces havee been applied in around 300 players, why could be so?
I think that can happen sometimes. Check on the search filter that you not got anything excluded - should be options to exclude your own squad and outside of scouting area for example. If nothing is excluded try and run through the generating process again.

Would be a lot better if someone can figure out a way to have the game engine to automatically do that when newgen are generated instead of every season redo the all thing.
It would! Hopefully SI implement something better for newgens on FM25 so this doesn’t need to be done
@@sortitoutsi I'm sure they will, question is what engine would they use for 25. I know they said unity but with the all unity pricing change since then, idk if they still planning on using unity or something else.
One question.. Is it possible to add the NewGan Faces to an online game save? The save is located at my friends Computer. I'm just joining that save online, to play together.
Once the NewGan faces started working, the existing faces of real players seemed to vanish.
does this carry over to new saves automatically for the newgens?
