    I have those same headlights on my tacoma. Highly recommend putting clear silicon around the headlight housing to prevent them from fogging up from moisture. Mine fogged until I put the silicon around them to seal the headlights.

    I just got these for my pickup, but they are the newest 2021's with the Osram LED chips and they look the same but have the DRL / Turn Signal bar at the bottom. $90 on Amazon. I've got to order the harness now too tho. Derp! Thx Austin. PS -- The metal retainer ring screws are M4-.07 x 10mm (I bought new stainless ones to replace the old rusted ones) And just some objective criticism, you should make the wheel bearing stuff into it's own video or add it in to the video title. I would've never known otherwise.. :)

I bought the new style headlight of the ones you have, including the wiring harness but when I plugged everything like I was supposed to, none of the other lights worked. • @Invincibletro
    @Invincibletro 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Austin you may be able to drill through the cab towards the top, anchor a come-along through the hole to a 2x4 or something then to a tree and pull. Then patch the holes. Or if you are lucky, run a long piece across the inside with out drilling holes and pull on that. Looks like that might work in your situation.

    • @gregh7457
      @gregh7457 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "towards the top" ? the top is pushed in that far? It looks to me like its just the sheetmetal is dented up there. The b pillar does look like its pushed in and thats an easy pull with a block and tackle and a metal hook or a porta power from inside or it might pull out by just tack welding washers to the sheetmetal and pull from those. The A pillar could probably be pulled out with a big slide hammer and with a hook. These cabs are easy to move pillars on. But... it wouldn't hurt to get an estimate from frame repair shops. They may be hurtin for business and will give a good price

    It's good to see a man in today's time who has that good work epic need in all fields of work. Something that seems to be disappearing. Everyone wants to get paid but doesn't want to put the work in that is needed to get the job done. And done well. You are by far a breath of fresh air. Not like all those you see on the net that are looking for the cheap quick fix or the most expensive build there is out there. Just Something we everyday guys may run into redoing or going through a build ourselves. This is what made me stop and look into your channel. I have not seen you give up quality in doing what is needed to either one of these auto. Now that doesn't mean you have to grab the most expensive part there is, by no means, to get a job done and done right. Common sense goes a long way as well in getting the job done. Nothing wrong in getting into the junk yard to find that part needed. That's just good cost saving, or using ones common sense. Any way another great video my friend. Thanks for your time. Cannot believe this video is already a month old. Wow!! I guess it's true about getting old, time passes by you in a blink of an eye. The one you just miss. Ha, Ha, Ha. Again a well done video sir. Oh! A few of my friends have taken my advice and stopped by to watch your builds. Being old timers and mechanics as well, retirement can be a ( B ) at times. Like what they see as well. so well done my man. God Bless stay safe and healthy you and your.

It's a very good engine, durable with tons of after market support and if a v8 is not what you are after there's the smaller version wich is a v6 tdi, also an awesome engine with literally tons of torque! Just saying if you want to go for another swap in the future it might be worth chechking both those options out!
