How is the car changing lane automatically enough of a legal grey area for the feature not to be in the UK? Doesn't the Tesla Model S have the exact same thing and it works in the UK?

The fart app-producers won't be happy with this intelligent car.
You can't please reviewers. They complain of the screen not being touch sensitive, but guess what they would say when it's a touch screen with no dial operation. They'll complain that the screen will be filled with fingerprint smudges and would say that it would be nice to have a rotary dial to operate the screen, LOL. Can't please them either way. But personally, I prefer the dial. Screen smudges bothers me.

What’s wrong with the 2017/18 E class is that it’s designed for short people! If you’re tall (and have good posture) the driving seat is hideous, and that’s regardless of how many millions of variations of the multiple adjustable bits you can play with, including the lumbar “support” (?),
then there is the fact that the steering wheel isn’t dead centre in front of the driver, then, (as with this car as featured), there is the panoramic sunroof , what a drawback that is. It may be OK for European countries where the sun actually never shines, or China where the smog is conveniently thick enough, but in any hot country it just sucks heat into the car, and thats even when it’s closed with the (flimsy, perforated, useless) shade blind is closed. But not to worry, there are 4 or 5 ways to change track on your music and you have 64 colours to select for the ambient lighting. Nice to see MB have devoted so much energy to the important things. I wish I still had my 2011 E class , a much nicer vehicle.

I can see someone activating self drive on the motorway, dozing off and the car not slowing down for the variable speed limit or average speed cameras.
MosherMike it picks up all the speed limits via the cameras built in and will change the speed automatically. Also brings the car to a halt safely if you let go of the steering wheel for too long.
