    Crazy that Toyota is making the accident avoidance system standard on the new Corolla while in the E Class it will be an option that costs a few grand.
    Still a beautiful car. Mercedes design is best in the industry, in my opinion.

      +PapayaMan That's exactly what I mean. Just like when Mercedes came out with ABS decades ago and before we knew it, everyone had abs.

      Everyday Reviews Honestly paying $60k for car seems to be a norm these days, don't know how people can rationalize that!! Unless you really love the car.

      Kind of is in a sense with Honda does with its Honda Sensing system. Obviously it isn't as advanced as the system in the Mercedes however it still is pretty amazing.

    Great tech, I like it, especially the one that helps people in medical distress. But most of this tech dumbs people. For example the blind spot, since its invention now most people do not look before changing lanes. According to DOT & National Highway, since blind spot monitoring came out, lane changing accidents have increased 88%. People still need to know these driving skills, a car should not do that for us. I am for the tech that helps unconscious people and the likes. Not the ones for lazy people or for the ones that do not want to learn how to drive properly. I mean parking itself, jeez, how lazy and inexperience can one be. If someone needs help parking, they should not be driving. This type of tech will cause traffic jams and slowdowns in highways. Accidents will increase. Mark my words.

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Many of the autonomous features may seem like lazy features when they're actually necessary steps on the road to full autonomous driving in the future. Eg. I wouldn't use the auto parking feature as is but will definetly use it when I can pull up to the front entrance at Costco, get out and let the car find its own parking space and then pick me up when I call it.

      @IrshadAhmed0448871734 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Man you are too pessimistic. I have this car and I rarely use the parking features. This is only in situations where it would be easy if its automatised than you controlling it. The drive pilot and the lane assist is so awesome that you can simply drive like a passenger and the car takes you all the way to wherever you like to go. Its the best I have ever driven.

    Mercedes are beautifully made cars,but very average in the design department.Why don't they headhunt the head of the design studio of Jaguar, then they would not only be well made but also good to look at.

    • @sharjeel.k126
      @sharjeel.k126 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess mercedes have a lot of constraints while designing that people at jaguar might not have an idea about, for example aerodynamics which is class leading until bmw comes with 5 series, rear space which ian callum damn cares about, moreover marketing some people just dont want a fancy looking car yes such people do exist, since e class is a global model so it need a lot more consideration with a lot of compromises on aesthetics but in my opinion the way Gordon Wagner has handled mercedes design is remarkable and all mercedes models under his direction, which doesnt include pre facelift sl and slk and gl and ml, except suv coupes have been competitive in their classes.

    I just wonder how many of these hi-tech features will still be working in 20 years?

    • @FitraHomestead

      Even if they did they would be dangerously outdated. Its like wanting your laptop to work for 20 years, which it can do but would you want it to?

    I went from a BMW 3 series to a 2017 E300. The 3 series drove and handled better. My E300 was peppered with problems. Had to bring it in the shop over 25 times in the first few months. Ridiculous! I bought a car do drive, not to bring it into the shop twice a week for several months! They put me in another E300 (this time a package with heads up display and massaging seats, etc.). First few months, in the shop over 6 times, and Mercedes initially refused to fix the creaking in my door when it went over bumpy roads because they could not duplicate it! Then they were able to duplicate it but wouldn't fix it because it wasn't "continuous" enough! Screw Mercedes! What a POS product they produce! I took a huge loss on the trade in for a BMW. It's night and day! The BMW drives and handles great and has no rattles. It nearly glides everywhere I go. But I paid the price to experience how bad Mercedes is! I will NEVER buy a Mercedes again!

    Don’t buy one, I did and hate it. MB have spent millions on giving you useless ambient lighting to make the car look like a cheap circus tent, millions to give you 5 different ways to change the channel on the media, but didn’t manage to get the steering wheel in front of the driver, placed the door mirrors so high they impede your vision and fitted the most uncomfortable seats I have ever experienced, designed obviously for very short people with bad posture. The panoramic sunroof is a nightmare which serves no purpose other than to suck heat into the vehicle even when closed ......yes the car looks OK and has lots of safety toys, but they’re probably needed to cover the driver being distracted by all the discomfort.......buy something Japanese, yes it will be boring but you won’t dread driving it
