The horn on these trolleys is just like the horn on CTA'S 6000 SERIES L CARS AND THEIR 1-50 SERIES L CARS BUILT BY THE ST.LOUIS CAR COMPANY that were built from 1950-1959. The 1-50 ST. LOUIS L CARS originally ran on the Skokie Swift and I always heard that same identical horn at the street crossings.
I always wondered why they never put alarm-gongs or bells on any of these trolleys. That's the only things they lack to better warn pedestrians and cyclists of their presence.
rose bucy-mckarge Yeah, I saw a few weird ones during my ride. At the stop before Middletown some guy got on and started loudly muttering a bunch of swear words to no one in particular. I just ignored it, and was glad I was getting off at the next stop!
Thank you Bobby for posting a nice San Diego video, I'm going to plan another trip to San Diego miss the city, use to go there all the time on marketing your business events, love the city :) :)
$2.25 or you can get a day pass which is 5 dollars but you'll need a compass, if you don't have one you can buy one for 2 dollars and it is rechargeable
Roy52202 Surprisingly most stations weren't, they were just broadcast in English. The Los Angeles Metro was the same way; only large stations had English and Spanish announcements.
+Roy52202 Stops on the blue line (direct line from the border crossing) are announced in both English and Spanish up until 12th & Imperial Transit Center. Then only major stops are translated.
Guys, I have a question. English is not my first language and I wanna know what the announcement says. When she goes like "priority seatings for senior and disabled *priors* is located near most doors". I hear it like "priors", what does she actually say there??
Thanks you found out first-hand, they have two type of cars one walk-on and other one you have to go upstairs (older model).... You want to use the car that you just step on to bring bike aboard, and hold on to your bike....
I miss San Diego so much, I lived in La Jolla and loved going downtown in weekends and ow ya TJ as well
trolly connect from La Jolla to downtown?
I may study at USD for a semester next year, do you know any unexpensive places to live near Mission Valley?
(I have a lot of questions about SD)
