- On a overcast Veterans Day, me and my older brother headed down to the city of San Diego to film the San Diego Trolley in action. The lines in the San Diego Trolley system are the Blue, Green, and Orange lines. During the video, scenes from the cab as the Trolley travels down the tracks. A quick shot on board Amtrak 785 and a Metro Purple line departing Wilshire/ Vermont to end the video. As always, sorry for the shakiness. Enjoy.
Taken: 11/11/14
The trolley sounded like an old car horn.😂😂
Alexis Valdez: There's horns that sound like those on Police Cars the city horns.
Good to see it when the trolley goes north to UTC area.
MrSquareart, it’s going to be part of the of mid-coast city extension..
Love those trolleys! Here in Mendoza City (Argentina), we have the old U2.
And still in operation. Those U2 still has life.
And you guys got our horrible SD-100's
17:06 that's Brett Hauser
Such a amazing operator for the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System
how do you even know his name
@@clairemadeinheaven considering that's one of my coworkers son's it's safe to assume the kid knows his stuff
Miss riding the trolley
9:36 is my favorite part of the SD trolley.
LOL
i miss you oldest U2, please come back again
The SD-100 buzz satisfies me ☺️
Not me I hate those kinds I like the other buzzes
I mean their motors. Their buzz horns are quite hard to listen to
You need to let the viewers know what line is that it could be a green line blueline how much does it cost how much is a day pass where can you park your car .And what’s the destination the trolley that you’re recording is going???
2.50 for a ticket. Ik I’m late but whatever
Wow wow and wow. Looks great.

I would like to know were his Greeen Lin goes to I assume by looking at it ,it was a regular steam railroad at one time the fact it is double track to day
+david levine The Green Line was built parallel to the Santa Fe tracks from downtown north as far as Old Town. It splits off to its own trackage. The Orange and Blue Lines were rail lines in part which both have freight "window" at night (San Diego & Arizona Eastern) The Sprinter in northern San Diego County is a former Santa Fe branch from Oceanside to Escondido, with a new deviation to CalState/San Marcos, then returning to the "main line". There is a nightly freight on the line.
david levine, Green Line goes from Santee to downtown San Diego and back..
I LIKE YOUR TRAMS
I ride the Los Angeles metro trains and buses. On the San Diego trains I did not see the ability logo on the side of the train. Where do wheelchair passengers boarded the train?
The 1000's and the 2000's series has a lift on the first door. As of today, (2019) those models don't lead anymore as the newer models (3000's and the 4000's series) are much easier for wheelchair loading and unloading. For a wheelchair to board, it's the second door with a wheelchair logo button to activate the ramp.
Anyone know what that red LCD countdown timer that comes on at 3:24 is?
For when it can depart from station
What app were you using at 26:23?
How many of those mixed consist trains derailed? The middle car looks so unstable, not to mention shorter with 3 trucks. Love the horns and scenery. Trolley racing automobile traffic FTW!!!
Very rarely do any of the SD Trolley consists derail, whether pure or not. Pure meaning all of the same type. All SD Trolley equipment with exception of the PCC cars on the Silver Line have 3 trucks. The middle older cars are Seimens SD100 units. They actually run very nice when they cooperate, pretty much they each have their own personality. But, when I ran the SD100s, I was usually more comfortable and they operate very smooth when you know how they work.
@@jbc5877 I just hope that they don't get like WMATA did with their subway trains before 2018.
Always a police walking job thank you for listening Happy Valentine's Day

Are these Alstom....?
Musicana All Siemens made
Siemens is all you see on these things
The Orange line goes to Santa Fe
TheDogeProXD Power, it used to.. it now ends at the Courthouse station that started as its western terminus station late last April..
Of course, you cannot eat or drink in the trolleys just like in a school bus.
Cleaning Burger King sauce off of a fabric seat is pretty fucking annoying ya know.
You always have your phone please thank you so much
The newer e-horns sound like a homicidal robot! What's wrong with using a K5LA recording? Better yet, break the mold and use a P5 recording!
9:25
The city horns are duplicates of police car horns.
I'm glad to see somebody else didn't like the horn either. I'd be ashamed to toot it.
