Amazing upgrade! I went 2 steps further and did the WQHD 2560x1440 LCD panel upgrade on my T430

@@TechDave Its an easy upgrade and neither FHD or WQHD require any soldering (the T430s requires it iirc whereas the T430 doesn't). They'll also be easier to see being Matte panels and a bit brighter at 300 Nit (vs 250 of the HD+ panel).

@@Anomaly08 eGPU overvolted I think, and/or the 400w psu I used may have caused an issue, but God knows, some fault that didn't harm the gpu or psu, but killed the exp beast dock

Hi Dave, nice job.... i´ve seen more videos with t430 screen upgrade and they always change also screen cable (even for the same resolution screen 1600x900) so i wonder if it is necessary cause you replace just screen and it works....
It didn't seem to be necessary for me, but the display I bought was £50+ p&p, so it may be they it was an original screen for the T430, and as such works fine. However, intrigued, perhaps my display would look even better had I replaced the cable...
Looks great and gives me the confidence to upgrade mine! (maybe)
Do you have a link for the 9cell and a review on how well its working for you? I need to change my original battery but always twitchy about aftermarket batteries!
I got it direct from duracells UK website, I'll try and find a link!
But ye, can eek that battery out to 8 hours+ on battery saver, and even longer if u restrict the cpu to 50% clock speed (which btw is a genius maneuver, if I do say so myself lol)

I like the glossy screen. What LCD did you get? Unfortunately, your ebay link doesn't provide details anymore since it is an old link.

I just tried to install it but unfortunately the colors are only greenish and lot vertical lines , the scaling probably. Could you tell pls what can be the problem. 🙏
Either the display is damaged, or u need an adaptor cable for the display u bought, wish I cud help more than that. Its also possible, that u need to reseat the display cable, as it cud just be a bad connection!

I double checked everything and it looks alright. I searched more and it looks like I need another cable FrU 04w6867/Fru 04w6868. I hope it works with this and that the screen itself is not bad. I will keep you posted. Thnx again!
